I find it quite odd that there'd be an extended recession under a president who implemented policies that are the exact method for quickly recovering from a recession
There was a political strife during the reformation of laws by the Sordish National Assembly in order to ease the transition, alongside a sudden world crisis.
Historically, it have been radical and neoliberal free market policies that have triggered severe economic recessions and crises in human history, with the most prominent examples being the United States of America under Herbert Hoover and the Russian Federation under Boris Yeltsin. Only radical leftist and Keynesian economic policies have managed to resolve these particular crises.
@@thevisitor135 That's absolutely not the case, I have no idea where you would get the impression that Hoover caused the Great Depression or that Yeltsin's post Soviet policies would retroactively cause the collapse of the Soviet Union. On the contrary, free market policies have been the greatest remedy against recession, and it was radical leftist policies like the New Deal that turned the Great Depression from a recession into a 13 year long nightmare, while Keynesian economics, well I'm not going to sit here and pretend anyone actually implements it in practice since we've never seen anyone enter the "lower spending in good times" phase of the cycle.

I love this video, it's so well made that you might think sordland is a real country
Well done! This is truly amazing
Zeon- Gundam

Allied States of America- Jericho
Go to the ideas section of the institute's website.
A Morgna wes core, Vectern sis da!
What an odd setting. One that could easily be replaced with an alternative timeline but instead went alternate world, very odd
much to it's benefit I'd say. Same with Ace Combat.
@@TemplinInstitute I agree, it's just a choice that's not seen very often
@@TemplinInstitute is there any other alternate worlds besides those two? Always enjoyed alternate worlds
@@jk.studios the world of Disco Elysium is also an alternate modern world, with bizarre alternate physics as well
@brmbly The developers said its based in Turkey and Balkan politics. It has nothing to do with Spain.
16:13 1st: Radical
2nd: Autocrat
3rd: Weak
4th: Unknown
Absolutely love fleshed out worlds. And now I'm off to Twitch.
I managed to hear about the game before this video, but I definitely appreciate the exposition. Worldbuilding at its finest.
Also, to any Linux users who might be in the audience: I can confirm the game runs on Steam's Proton tool. Not optimally, perhaps, but it is playable.
Excellent music right there.
Lot of the footage is from the revolution of '56 in Budapest am I right?
Quite some of the other pictures come from the Spanish Civil War, I would guess
Truly awesome game that has not got enough attention. Great video!
A morgna wes core, Vectern sis da!
I like these longer ones
"A MORGNA HER COREN!"
"VECTERN SIS DA!"
0:12 that has to be Josh from Old Shoddycast. Sounds exactly like him.
Just finished, no war and got reelected baby !
HELL YEAH LOVE THIS!
Just finished my first run, oh how naive I was
I really feel there should be an update for some people who win a 2nd term.....so as to make the game more fun and interactive
Who's with me on this
I find it quite odd that there'd be an extended recession under a president who implemented policies that are the exact method for quickly recovering from a recession
There was a political strife during the reformation of laws by the Sordish National Assembly in order to ease the transition, alongside a sudden world crisis.
@@CChrispim I see, that would explain it even if that's unfortunate timing. Where can I find more information about the setting?
@@ZontarDow The game is actually on sale right now I’d highly recommend it
Historically, it have been radical and neoliberal free market policies that have triggered severe economic recessions and crises in human history, with the most prominent examples being the United States of America under Herbert Hoover and the Russian Federation under Boris Yeltsin.
I play this game now. this is relevant to me now!
Bought the game, definitely recommend!
I don't understand people saying its based on spain. The creators said its based on Balkan and Turkey politics.
With a hint of Caucasus
It’s based on a lot of things and some of the games aspects do take heavily from spanish history. The civil war of 1928 that takes place in the lore of this game is very similar to the spanish civil war.
Can I have this dude narrate everything for me? idk I'm kinda high but I'm vibing with it right now.
Sordland just sounds like any Balkan nation ever
I only now noticed how similar Sordlands history is to that of Yugoslavia.
It’s also very similar to the histories of Turkey, Egypt, and Iran, with some elements reminiscent of recent Russian history.
Nice, I was expecting this! Do you plan on covering the other countries as well?
It is nice to see the castle Schönbrunn
Just bought the game. Only complaint is that there’s no (constitutional) monarchist route. :(
Now we have Rizia.
Glovurius axa rizia!
You guys should do the ordensstaat burgund from the TNO mod
Very good writen of game. Make me feel the tense of being in a high preasure as a presiden. Is thre any suggestion game like this ?

I'm pretty sure one of the pictures in this video is from the carnation revolution,
Great game, finished it today, very hard choices but the plot is great
Thank you the English subtitle.
I'd like to see a political game where you can play as the opposition.
