This song hurts. It’s uncomfortable but yet, familiar. You know it. You know the pain. So it’s okay. It’s better than okay actually. It’s why your here. You seek out the sorrow...
Wake.. from your sleep The drying of your tears Today we escape, we escape Pack.. and get dressed Before your father hears us Before all hell breaks loose Breathe, keep breathing Don't lose your nerve Breathe, keep breathing I can't do this alone Sing.. us a song A song to keep us warm There's such a chill, such a chill You can laugh A spineless laugh We hope your rules and wisdom choke you Now we are one in everlasting peace We hope that you choke, that you choke We hope that you choke, that you choke We hope that you choke, that you choke
Haha. You must know that the song itself is inspired by Chopin Prelude No. 4 right? I think this guy right here is just playing more of Chopin into the song.
I wake up early on Sundays, leave family in bed, brew a coffee, put the dogs out and sit and listen to your breathtaking music. It's Sunday today, the coffee and company is good.
I swear there were moments in this piece where the harmonics of the piano were calling back to you, particularly as the intensity grew. Amazing interpretation of a masterpiece!
When the bass kicks in you can't help but shiver at the weight of it all. I felt the momentum and emotion coming through your fingers. Thom would be proud to hear this. Thanks so much for sharing.
I just want to thank you for playing this with so much emotion. Something I see missing in a lot of covers that you absolutely nailed is pacing yourself with the way you FEEL it should move, whereas others keep it in such a strict swingy time-signature that it almost sounds like rag-time. Beautiful work.
Holy crap this is so amazing!!!! Aspiring pianist myself. Started kind of late tho (25) I would give anything to play like this. Keep it up, you play so beautifully, brings chills!
That ongoing high pitched resonance at 3:46 sounds exactly like something Jonny Greenwood would play on the ondes Martenot or the theremin. Intentional or not, that's awesome!
It would be awesome to hear what it sounds like now 10 years later when you play this, it is already amazing, and in the tutorial 5 years later you're even more comfortable. Fantastic piece, well played!
How mature is it? Honestly the trailer just makes it look like sex and blood all the time. It seems like an amazing concept to me for a show but if it's like Game of Thrones I'll have to pass on watching porn and executions.
It's an amazing show! Thoughtful, provocative and with exceptional acting. Anthony Hopkins' performance alone is reason enough to watch it. I could also go on for pages about the music. Such an amazing score! There is some nudity, but for me personally it didn't feel that sexualized, as alot of the nudity in Game of thrones do. And there is alot of violence.
My favorite peice of piano just now (dark, deep, soft, powerfull) it touch the soul... the timing is perfect ... thank you so much... Outstanding *****
I never comment on videos so trust me when I say this. This is hands down the best cover I've ever heard of a song, and I hope I could play it half as good as you do one day.
I agree. So many covers attempt to siphon beauty from the original subject, understandably. But this is beautiful on its own. Many of these radiohead piano covers feel more an addition to the already perfect songs. I don’t even hear the lyrics of exit music in my head when I play this video, the piano is enough.
Wake From your sleep The drying of Your tears Today We escape We escape Pack And get dressed Before your father hears us Before All hell Breaks loose Breathe Keep breathing Don't loose Your nerve Breathe Keep breathing I can't do this Alone Sing Us a song A song to keep Us warm There's Such a chill Such a chill You can laugh A spineless laugh We hope your Rules and wisdom choke you Now We are one In everlasting peace We hope that you choke That you choke We hope that you choke That you choke We hope That you choke That you choke
First noticed this music in the Film: "Unfaithful" and have been obsessed with it ever since. That rendition was a jazz trio performed by Brad Mehldau and truly wonderful. Available on his album: Songs: The Art of the Trio, Vol. 3 ua-cam.com/video/F_4fiMIxO2E/v-deo.html Haven't been able to get enough of it and keep searching for covers, of which there seem to be many. But do look for the a cappella version by OnAir (follow link and start at 08:22 to 12:47) Buy it on their album: Moon ua-cam.com/video/ThHRmhPAtGQ/v-deo.html.
I have been playing piano for about 3 or so years now, I hope when I am older to one day have skills like this and to be able add this much emotion into what I am playing. I love this song, it was actually written for the 1996 Romeo Juliet.
Oh wow. Yours is truly one of the most beautiful, encapsulating and powerful covers. Thank you for capturing the beauty, pain and magic of this masterpiece of a song
This is utterly extraordinary. One small comment, I would cut the last minute, I think it doesn't add anything. But seriously, this is extraordinary playing, passion and timing.
you understand the feeling of a song.. few people do that, thank you
Thank Eizenn
This song hurts. It’s uncomfortable but yet, familiar. You know it. You know the pain. So it’s okay. It’s better than okay actually. It’s why your here. You seek out the sorrow...
It's such a beautiful piece.
Can i quote you?
@@afnanrahmani4957 yes, of course
Sometimes we seek out those kind of emotions because they're our last link to what we've lost.
There is pain in my heart, I want it there, I put it there
Wake.. from your sleep
The drying of your tears
Today we escape, we escape
Pack.. and get dressed
Before your father hears us
Before all hell breaks loose
Breathe, keep breathing
Don't lose your nerve
Breathe, keep breathing
I can't do this alone
Sing.. us a song
A song to keep us warm
There's such a chill, such a chill
You can laugh
A spineless laugh
We hope your rules and wisdom choke you
Now we are one in everlasting peace
We hope that you choke, that you choke
We hope that you choke, that you choke
We hope that you choke, that you choke
it's like you know every single one of my favorite songs.
♡
This reminds me a little of Chopin Prelude No. 4.
That's a wonderful compliment-thank you.
Haha. You must know that the song itself is inspired by Chopin Prelude No. 4 right? I think this guy right here is just playing more of Chopin into the song.
I know I'm not supposed to, but I love the ringing at 3:27
Jennifer YES!!

Thanks for listening and for your kind compliments. Take care.
I wake up early on Sundays, leave family in bed, brew a coffee, put the dogs out and sit and listen to your breathtaking music. It's Sunday today, the coffee and company is good.
Life is good ♡
I swear there were moments in this piece where the harmonics of the piano were calling back to you, particularly as the intensity grew. Amazing interpretation of a masterpiece!
I'm really happy you enjoyed listening-thank you!
YES!!
Has a little swing to it, in the beginning. I like it.
Quite a bit of swing
Holy shit this is amazing
Thanks!
heavypiano
Awesome
I was just listening to this in the background and at 3:30 I just had to come comment. This is so lovely and your playing is so expressive.
I see how he draws landscapes with his fingers... Incredible. Thank you.
When the bass kicks in you can't help but shiver at the weight of it all. I felt the momentum and emotion coming through your fingers. Thom would be proud to hear this. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks MrJaab!
Awesome... ( and it was soo good in the "Westworld" finale..., just now.. )
I just want to thank you for playing this with so much emotion. Something I see missing in a lot of covers that you absolutely nailed is pacing yourself with the way you FEEL it should move, whereas others keep it in such a strict swingy time-signature that it almost sounds like rag-time. Beautiful work.
I can't stop listening to it.
Same
Holy crap this is so amazing!!!! Aspiring pianist myself. Started kind of late tho (25) I would give anything to play like this. Keep it up, you play so beautifully, brings chills!
did you? gave it all?
Merci pour cette magnifique interprétation ! Superbe musique au piano. Triste mais tellement belle...
Merci!
That ongoing high pitched resonance at 3:46 sounds exactly like something Jonny Greenwood would play on the ondes Martenot or the theremin. Intentional or not, that's awesome!
Thanks! I hear what you're talking about.
Well, I got my 2 am chill for tonight. Thank you for this amazing cover.
Nice. Glad you found me and that it was something positive in your life.
This is like the perfect extension of the song. Like watching a short film based on a painting.
This is exceptionally beautiful

Fantastic piece, well played!
Thanks Atlas. I can't believe it's been 10 years! And yes, I play differently now than I used to. I'll add it to my to-do list.

simply stunning.
What an amazing piece. Just came here from the season final of Westworld
I guess I need to watch Westworld, huh? I keep getting comments that people found this after watching the show.
It is amazing and this song is used in the finale of the just-completed first season.
heavypiano Some of the best TV out there. And lots of modern music in the soundtrack as orchestral or piano versions.
How mature is it? Honestly the trailer just makes it look like sex and blood all the time. It seems like an amazing concept to me for a show but if it's like Game of Thrones I'll have to pass on watching porn and executions.

Fantastic rendition of Exit Music!
Mind - blown away
My favorite peice of piano just now (dark, deep, soft, powerfull) it touch the soul... the timing is perfect ... thank you so much... Outstanding *****

Thanks alex.
I have heard A LOT of EM piano covers, but yours is the best!
That was amazing. Goose bumps, Seriously.
Thanks Scott.
That piano is beautiful.
I never comment on videos so trust me when I say this. This is hands down the best cover I've ever heard of a song, and I hope I could play it half as good as you do one day.

Wow! So much feeling in this piece. Great job.
Thanks Don!
I must have listened to this 50 times the bit between about 2:11 and 3:00 gives me goosebumps, every time.
Beautiful- Don't stop! Don't get discouraged!
Aww, thanks. :) I should have some more time to work on new songs in the next week or so. A little busy right now.
Please keep this up. This is the best thing that happened since the original song.
love this interpretation
Wake
From your sleep
The drying of
Your tears
Today
We escape
We escape
Pack
And get dressed
Before your father hears us
Before
All hell
Breaks loose
Breathe
Keep breathing
Don't loose
Your nerve
Breathe
Keep breathing
I can't do this
Alone
Sing
Us a song
A song to keep
Us warm
There's
Such a chill
Such a chill
You can laugh
A spineless laugh
We hope your
Rules and wisdom choke you
Now
We are one
In everlasting peace
We hope that you choke
That you choke
We hope that you choke
That you choke
We hope
That you choke
That you choke
omg thanks so much I been listening to this forever & NEVER REALLY KNEW ALL THE WORDS
The pain conveyed by Thom York’s in this song is palpable and the standout track on OK Computer, for me.
Words cant describe how glorious this is.
Wow, that's really nice of you to say-thank you.
This is amazing ❤ thank you for sharing and congratulations. It is mind blowing 🤯

I have been playing piano for about 3 or so years now, I hope when I am older to one day have skills like this and to be able add this much emotion into what I am playing. I love this song, it was actually written for the 1996 Romeo Juliet.
Best piano interpretation of this song. (also Josh Cohen's one is beautiful)
Absolutely beautiful rendition. Bravo.
Thank you, Christopher!
Oh wow. Yours is truly one of the most beautiful, encapsulating and powerful covers. Thank you for capturing the beauty, pain and magic of this masterpiece of a song
