Thanks for the video. It gives the feel of what life was like for the soldiers whereas most videos I have seen on the battle concentrate on battle strategy. Kids will learn a lot. Thanks!
I own the personal gazetteer which is signed by Captain Peter Forney who led the militia in this battle and was in others most likely King's Mountain and Cowpens. He was very young. He later became a U. S. Senator or rep. Later he owned a iron forge that was instrumental in producing cannonballs for Battle of New Orleans. I am going to attempt to make it down there for the re-enactment and will bring the book. Perhaps i can get a copy of another signature of Peter Forney. He was from Lincoln county, N.C. I can speak of his career, possibly as well.

As an ex reenactor its fun to see old friends...
The Battle of Guilford Courthouse has something in common with the Battle of Breed's (Bunker) Hill: Both were Pyrrhic victories for the British.
Jonathan Powell and both had the same bright minded man Nathanael Greene

Worse danger. What the British did to camp wives? Not pretty.
At 149 you speak of a vacination?
