This a great video but they're missing a young guy named Austin Seibert who was the 1st actual 19 year old to go on the ANW course who patiently waited 21 days in the Los Angeles Regional City qualifier walk-on line. Ironically this was the year that production changed the walk-on system to numbers drawing. Although Austin persevered through the long extensive wait in the walk-on line holding walk-on #4, he drew the #4 in the walk on line drawing... Later he crushed the qualifier round, advancing onto the city finals. I'm proud of a lot of the people in this video, but at the sametime it would have been great if production recognizes this.
I love American Ninja Warrior. These athletes are incredible. What I don't understand, however, is why the prize money is so little? Yes, for me, $500,000 is a lot of money but this is a major network show. Isaac Caldiero won $1 million on Season 7 so why is the prize money cut in half now? There have only been two winners in the history of the show, Isaac and Drew Drechshel. NBC has raked in hundreds of millions of dollars. Why can't American Ninja Warrior pay out a more substantial prize?

These contestants dedicate their lives to winning. No woman, for instance, has any chance of getting the top prize. They do it for the love of the sport. After taxes, the winner gets $250,000. Disgusting.
Drew Drechsel was arrested on federal child sex related charges. Therefore ANW severed all ties with him. Won’t be seeing him compete again nor on any ‘remember when’ compilations. Google it if you want more info about him. How many kids did he ‘coach’ as a ninja trainer? Oooh ick huh?
