    Absolutely brilliant piece of kit... No gimmicks does what it says on tin... picked mine up from Suzuki in Mansfield this week... And got 61mph out of it.. The mpg seems to be the US units not Imperial like the GB Gallon, You forgot to mention the steering lock and park lights too... whips up inclines really well and seems really well planted at 55mph down the dual carriageways to say how light it is .. really impressed.. Thanks for the honest review guys... drives just like you said it would.

    At first I was a bit unsure as this wasn't really the bike I wanted ( wanted a pcx) but it was all I could afford at the time and desperately needed transport, 2 months later I love this bike, I'm 6ft 2 and 16st and I've got it up to 66 on a dual carriageway and it holds 50 plus no bother even when fully loaded with work stuff 👍 I've done 400 miles and only spent about £35 on petrol in total. 148? I was getting 117 up until last week when some charming person decided to test the steering lock... it's quite flimsy. Start stop would have been a nice to have for a town bike too. Underseat storage is disappointing given how the fuel cap prevents you fitting a top box but for what it is, in my case a replacement for a stolen/trashed/written off Honda it'll do...

      The last thing you need is stop start especially on a small capacity scooter, that use next to no fuel already . It would just add to the purchase price & potentially more to go wrong & cause issues & cost more to get sorted . No steering locks are good anyway even on more larger expensive bikes , buy a decent lock & chain it to something solid & unmovable .

      @@maskedavenger2578 turns out a Kia Sportage pulling out of a side road does more damage to my scooter than stop start technology! • @maskedavenger2578
      @maskedavenger2578 8 місяців тому

      @@gthbtn What has stop start technology got to do with pulling out of a side road . The is no point in stop start technology on a small engine that burns next to no fuel anyway . Also it’s a well known fact ,most engine wear is caused when an engine starts up , so it’ it’s obvious with an engine stopping & starting every few yards in town ,is going to cause more wear & put extra load on the electrics ,for very negligible fuel cost savings . You also could of saved probably more .by spending a £100 on a lock & chain , & leaving the steering unlocked to save damage . If you ride motorcycles & scooters ,you should also assume every vehicle that can pull out on you will , as many times they will . You need to ride defensively ,& treat all other road users as potential homicidal maniacs ,if you are to have any chance of surviving ,as I have after riding motorcycles & scooters large & small capacity on road for over 50 years .

      @@JakeM218 Suzuki has an established reputation. Plus it's much more fuel efficient than the Liberty. The engine, whilst new here is a tried and tested engine in other markets.
      As for the Honda Monkey, that's known as a very reliable bike. Just because one youtube video shows an engine died doesn't represent the entire fleet of Honda Monkeys. Again, Honda has proven reliability across the board.

    The Piaggio Liberty 125 is cheaper or similar and is a much better scooter, with bigger wheels, more power, and has ABS. For a similar price you can pick up a used Piaggio Medley with much more power and 65+mph, plus enough storage for two full face helmets. So the three new Suzukis fail to impress (Address, Avenis and Burgman Street). They are marketed as some kind of hip, street-cred machines but all three are way overpriced. If they were cheaper new then they would be worth considering, but they just don't cut it with their weedy 8.6 hp engines and ridiculously tiny fuel tanks, except strictly for town riding. Oh, and it's ugly.
