I'm glad you brought this up with the social media break. I have deleted the apps off my phone, including UA-cam. It felt really good. If I need to access it, I will check in on the web version and not the actual app. The web version is oddly not as addictive. I enjoy it so much. Social media is highly addictive, and I've wasted hours of my life over the years of overindulging and scrolling. I surely do miss the old days in some ways.

Ever since the pandemic - I really cannot take engaging with so many people for long periods of time the way retail requires. Likewise - my circle is very small and my life is so much more peaceful! I don't have any social media, I had FB years ago shut it down and never look back, I guard my space/peace with everything. I'm glad you listened to your soul and took a break. My mom went to see the Bob Marley movie, she liked it. I'm planning to see if this month. We are in the same area, I've been to the Escovitch restaurant a few times...the food is delicious! The only thing with that spot, the last time I went it was so crowned I felt drained when I got outta there, nevertheless the food and music was enjoyable. I'm so tempted to go thrifting watching your content, I have soooo many clothes and I am not going anywhere to wear them to add more 😊 I'm satisfied watching you find gems. Thanks for sharing!

There this other UA-camr Monroe Steel that discussed about how exhausted she feels being around people. I can totally relate to both you guys, it started in my life as shyness but I developed a system to overcome it but I feel people drain my energy. I don't do any social media on my phone (never have), I find it disrespectful to your existence to be staring down at a phone all the time. I will watch UA-cam (not sign into it) if I need something to make time past if I am waiting or need a how to but I do everything on my laptop so if it not working or my internet is down, I find that it does not really bug me and I get more done. I actually just thrifted the same trench but mine cost $22 and a size 18W and it fits me oversize and I love the cut of it and the sleeves and the genuine tan leather underneath the collar, tab on back kick pleat and the patch right at waist. I'm just loving the coat. Mine came with sash and I use it tie in the back and it gives such a great cinch waist. I am an outerwear junkie, because I know I don't need another trench coat but because it pure cotton it hangs on the body really good. I am trying to thrift more purposely because it has actually become a problem and I will be looking into reselling on Poshmark to get things under control. I grew up in Atlanta but now live in KCMO and we usually have long winters here but this year it been unseasonably warm but for us we not safe until it actually June. I like meeting people while thrifting but will have to still be going thru the racks, don't want to miss something because I am conversating. Also you can find history of the previous owner in the pockets. Other than money, the best thing I found was an actual plate that had a picture of the little old lady wearing the coat with her partner in Paris. Really?!?! Yes! I really want a nice vintage fur, but I'm going to stay on the hunt so I get the right fit. That coat was beautiful tho! and I'm LOVING that trench OMG. I'm an empath as well and many months ago I had to take the FB app off of my phone because I was experiencing a very distinct pattern of feeling anxiety/dread and deep sadness after using it. Many times I would even burst into tears after scrolling on there! So much of what/who I followed on there represents a part of my life that no longer exists and it was triggering major negativity and bad feelings for me. Not everyone in my life understands that decision and that's ok. It's such a good lesson that it's perfectly fine to step away from things that no longer serve us, especially with respect to social media. Now I just hang out happily in my tiny corner of IG! :)

Hi there! I didnt review it thoroughly (fabric) to know how good the quality is, but it was very pretty. It’s definitely up to your personal taste. Is it preloved? Or is it new? I don’t think $50 is a bad price for a new trench - I literally just ordered a metallic green for $80 brand new.
