The Japanese intro is Xtraordinary. The group that made the music is called Ambience and the name of the song is Rising. I've been playing it non stop!!
Actually....if you know Anime, you will notice that a lot of the parts of the intro was lifted from other intros with the X-men just put into the scenes in question. IE I am pretty sure that the one scene in which Jubilee winks is from...not sure how the English name of the show is, but roughly translated Cateyes (it is about three female thieves). It still looks cool, but the American one is certainly more creative and therefore more memorable. The Japanese one looks like a dozen other Japanese intros mashed together, and is therefore kind of forgettable unless you see it from a western perspective.
Madhouse did the following Marvel works: Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher Blade Iron Man Iron Man: Rise of Technovore Wolverine X-Men Also, two of their subdivisions did Hulk vs. and 26 episodes of X-Men: Evolution. All of them are worth checking out.
Also love how the guys who did the Japanese intro probably took one look at Cable and said "Yep he's going in the intro!" And the directors of the show probably said. "He's not even a main ch... (See's intro)...okay you can keep him in!"

If you want a good anime intro, check out black lagoon. The lyrics are bizarre, borderline nonsense, and it is amazing. Show's pretty good, too, some of the best dub work I've ever heard.

O look it's my child hood X-Men fox kids on honest trailer pops up. Then Japanese version comes on at the end of this. Mind fucking blown!

Kisscartoon is a great place to watch old cartoons that Netflix takes down....if you're willing to become a bit of a buccaneer. Also you guys should take a page out of Blind Wave they do reaction to shows by putting only bits and pieces of the episodes of the series by cutting out the non exciting reaction parts sure it takes quite a bit of editing but it would be cool since you guys are really good at reaction and discussion so i'm sure you guys could do something similar with shows you haven't watched before for example have you seen the Lucifer tv show? If you haven't you could do it by making a highlight reel of the reactions and just make the majority of the reaction a review and discussion.
I've never actually seen that X-men cartoon. I only ever saw Evolution. I still think the best intro song is the one from What's New Scooby Doo? though
In my time...if you wanted to see new anime you had to wait for Saturday Night Toonami. You had to stay up late too past midnight once Toonami was canceled. XD
The Japanese intro removed the atomic bomb explosion in the US version. I am sure for historical reasons. That would be appropriate because of WW 2 atomic bomb tragedy for them.
