Learned Scrum from this video in 2016 before becoming a Scrum Master for the first time. Now with 4 years of experience, I confirm that this crash course is very close to the truth and very useful!
@@zhaleesibrownhue334 it's defined my professional life for the last 7 years. I am now in agile coach in software development department of an international bank. I am happy with the career choices I made and I'm thankful for the help this video had given me.

AMAZING - and PRICELESS...................I don't think I have ever seen in a classroom or online any training session like this one. This is the BEST YET............Thanks for your time and sharing your IP...........Good luck and God Bless
Actually it is the best presentation i've came across so far on youtube on the subject "Scrum", I ve seen people with repeating information several times , not covering end to end. This one is a Job well done.
very informative and I definitely appreciate your efforts to make it available to everyone who knows little or nothing (like me) to know what it is. thank you!
Fantastic presentation, mate. You have done a really amazing job to make me fill up the gaps in my understanding the Scrum. Much appreciated, mate. Hats off to you for the hard work.
Great job on the crash course! We use SCRUM in building and launching brands/products, and this video was perfect for the entire team to watch and refine our processes. Thanks for putting this together.
I am learning Agile methodology ,found this short cource very useful infact this has both basic and advance information on scrum ,superb ! . Thanks a lot for sharing this...
One of the best video I have ever watched on the Agile methodology. Grt job by trainer as he is very expressive and examples help in understanding concept thoroughly.
Very useful presentation. As a Scrum Master I found this to be very informative and I recommend all scrum masters or to be scrum masters to watch this video every few months to refresh your scrum knowledge. One quick question to the publisher... Can you share your presentation used in this video with me. I would love to read through it in more detail and maybe use it as a basis for my own presentation.
The presentation is very informative and helpful to understand the methodology. But I think 7 layer cake is not a good analogy. If we use Agile method to make a 7 layer cake, do we have to create small slices of 7 layered cakes and then join them to make a whole cake ???

Great video! Good examples and coverage of topics. Perhaps the whole comparison to Waterfall would better as a separate video for those just interested how Scrum works.
Feedback 1: In your explanation of waterfall you refer it as akin to / suitable for the mass production of a single (or small range of) item(s). This is in fact called a dedicated process and is the antithesis of a project. An example explanation of this is building a new skyscraper. It is a project, usually unique, and the plan is done only once and will follow a waterfall. In my next feedback point I will introduce a project management approach which is being inadvertently used and demonstrate that even Agile, and in particular Scrum, is in fact still a waterfall at the macro level.
Thank you very much. I had some prior knowledge about scrum and this lesson revealed a lot about scrum to me. I am a newbie, How do I move forward toward a career?
A bit unnerving to see that the slide flips even before the explanation for the slide is done on so many topics. Over all, the lecture was good and educative. Thank you for your efforts to share.
Feedback 2: The style and approach described here (including planning, control, roles and responsibilities, etc..) draws on a PROJECT MANAGEMENT approach called Goal Directed Project Management (GDPM). One of the key features is top down (global) planning and bottom up (activity) control. GDPM plans and controls at both levels - globally (overall) [product] and locally (activity) [sprint]. When applied to software development and in particular to agile methods it is well suited to managing the Product Backlog and each Sprint. Without you realising it, the macro level of planning (as per GDPM) is in fact a forced waterfall of what GDPM calls milestones - a priority list of User Stories in the Product Backlog List that get completed one at a time before the next is started. The execution is more akin to ballet, meeting a high level schedule in a macro plan of choreographed steps / milestones. Each milestone, one per Sprint in the case of Scrum, is broken down into an activity schedule that the cross functional team collaborates on to plan and execute, committing to meet the micro schedule and deliver the milestone / Sprint completely. Progress is managed on a short-scale basis - daily is typical - so that timely corrective action can be taken to meet the milestone / Sprint completion date. The execution mode within a milestone / Sprint is more akin to ice hockey. The principles of GDPM (a few of which are described here) not only support the concept of Agile / Scrum but also of lean management.
One of the first sticky bits in this process is getting people to agree on what the scale represents. i.e. Small means what really? What is Small to one may be Medium to someone else on the team.
I work alone but i really like scrum to see what my potential capacity is for estimation and planning. Could i use the velocity and point/story metrics as an individual or is scrum used by teams only?

Great Detailed information on Scrum Methodology!
Excellent metrics explanations. Thank you.
complete and so informative, very good!
Can we give estimation/story point to the Bug?
Is Scrum Master should or must involve in estimation time.
QUESTION - The presenter refers to subsequent sessions - do we have the links for those?
This is amazing. Well done, very informative!
One of the first sticky bits in this process is getting people to agree on what the scale represents. i.e. Small means what really? What is Small to one may be Medium to someone else on the team.
Excellent presentation and thanks for free sharing
You don't need all the layers. The deliverable could be just one layer if agreed with the PO and the client.
This is just brilliant.
My question is the scrum master required to conduct these charts/ gather these data?
I work alone but i really like scrum to see what my potential capacity is for estimation and planning. Could i use the velocity and point/story metrics as an individual or is scrum used by teams only?
Where can I find the second part of the video?
very well explained...Can I get the PPT u have used for this vdo?
There are a few things I disagree with, but it is a great presentation overall. Basic concepts of SCRUM nicely explained
Thank you for such an enriching video!
can I download this PowerPoint? I believe that this crash course will remain a valuable tool as I pursue my scrum master certification
What is His name? Does he have more videos?
This is very good. Great job.
A PPT or PDF of this would be awesome. Is there a link to get one?
I would also like to download the transcript. this was a very good tutorial.
Very well structured!
On the slide before 9:49 instead of "implement" you mean "deploy" or "deliver".
Many many thanks for sharing. Really I love the way you explain things. You do great trainer for sure ;) Keep the good work
What is the difference between Gold Plating and Kaizen?
