This song is simply perfect: Rm's voice, the lyrics, the video. It's like someone puts their hand in your chest and squeezes your heart... so many emotions. Rm's writing and voice are pure poetic power. His writing is on another level. Love Rm.
Namjoon struggling dealing with fame and all its trappings, trying not to lose sight of himself while the whole world watches his every move. The fireworks/wild flower/flower work lyric actually came from his post back in 2017 titled 불꽃놀이the Korean title of "Wild Flower," which rhymes with (firework). He said, "Perhaps in our lives we need wild flowers [ 들꽃; deulkkot]-rather than flames [불꽃; bulkkot] or cherry blossoms [ 벚꽃; beotkkot]- in bloom, tranquilly." It's flower work because wildflowers are like fire works, they spread through the field just like how fireworks spread through the sky except Namjoon is saying he wants to live as a calm wildflower rather than a flashy quickly disappearing firework. So instead of living like fire flowers that is brilliant but would quickly disappear, namjoon would like to live more like wildflowers that are calm and tranquil. I’m writing this comment so that you have some idea what K-pop idols have to put up with and the sacrifices they have to make to become successful and maintain that success. In Korea K-pop fans and K-netizens have extremely high expectations of idols and if they don’t comply by their rules and expectations then you are out of the industry completely as if you never existed. No chance of comeback. They expect idols to not date, no smoking, no sex, no marriage, no kids and so on. Male idols are to be eunuchs and the female idols are virgins that live a pure life without a blemish. If there is even one blemish, well you can kiss your career goodbye and live with so much hatred until you are forgotten. A good example of most recent scandal is a member from a group called Rize was kicked out because he had a girlfriend and smoked cigarettes BEFORE he became an idol. The label he was signed to put him out because of the complaints and demand that he be kicked out by the Kpop fan community and K netizens. What’s ironically laughable is that those fans and netizens are doing the same thing and more. The same goes for young Korean actors and actresses. In my opinion this is a big part of the shackles they have to wear. I love this song but feel very sad. But at least the BTS members have the courage to vent their issues through songs and that is why we love them so much.

My favorite RM song!! This song is so beautiful and emotional. This song gets me every time. It came out during their break in 2022 after RM said that he lost himself and was so burnout and done. Knowing everything he went through breaks me when I read these lyrics, but then the line "I'll return someday" arrives. He's saying it won't be forever. He needed this pause to heal and find himself again, but then he and all of BTS will return. Love this song and Namjoon!!
Moving from this to Right Person Wrong Place would be a cultural shock to him😂 RM released 4 solo works and in each of them he experienced different new stuff. I can't decide which of them is my fav but the songs i recommend are: MoonChild, Closer, Groin (ik it sounds weird but that's the catch🤭) and his solo from a bts album (Love Yourself: Answer) Trivia: Love. Rms lyrics are always so good and beautiful and a lot of people don’t pay much attention to the lyrics because it’s not in English but if you read the subtitles you realise how deep it is. Also I like that rm often tells stories with his rap just like in wildflower. It’s not about the fame or the money but about struggles and thoughts that he has very deep stuff. The lyrics always feel so real and genuine. RM truly is a poet and his pen game is so good.

Yes. You can love them all and have a bias. Some "fans" get extreme with it and become solo stans. Good luck... hope you don't have to deal with a lot of them. This is one of my all-time fave RM songs. I love everything about it. And that says a lot after you've heard how intense, vulnerable, and versatile his whole discography is. Love how you thoroughly enjoyed it too. No shame when he's on his grave because he's only ever going to be himself no matter what. And if you are taking notes... when you do RM's JOKE... make a note not to do the official mv... there are only auto generated subs which render the songs useless. Just search YT for "Joke Eng Subs" and the same for his "Do You." The original MV did not include subs. Whatever song you want to do, just search "Live Eng Subs" after and you'll usually get a good option. I'd choose the one with most views. Plus if it is done by the channel "Enjoy BTS More" she takes time to put accurate subs to some of their best live videos and her videos don't typically get taken down! As for normal lives, I don't know how much they do or don't anymore but for a long time, they did still manage to get out in town a bit, at least near where they live. I know once RM went on a hike and he came back in a live or a post (I forget) he laughed and thanked everyone for being so cool and mostly ignoring him and letting him have that personal time. He also bikes to work a lot. I know Jin talked about going to the nearby convenience store and that was all fairly recent, but yeah, in general, you know doing normal things has to come with so much limitation now. Ddaeng is a rap line song. Definitely watch the rap line version not the one with the vocal line. That is fine but as an after the original. Then DKDKTV has a great explanation video. So you can initially just enjoy the song without worrying about lyrics. Then understand the depth of the lyrics.

People that recommend a lot of BTS songs, should also recommend the explanation videos to go along with them. For example, UGH, DDAENG, FAKE LOVE, IDOL, and SPRING DAY don't make a lot of sense without the explanations of the complex references in the visuals and the lyrics.

I love the mix of RM's passionate, rapping & Youjeen's heavenly voice floating on top. Such a perfect powerful combination. Everything about this works...I love the orchestral bits with the strings, the video is stunningly artistic...right up my street. RM's fit as you said is also just right here.
To my understanding, I think RM is expressing how he feels as you said with regard to his fame v his ordinary self...the boy/ man that loves the natural world. He's at his most content when he can be at one with the great outdoors... plants, trees, flowers, woods, fields etc.
I think you would probably get benefit & understanding of RM's deep feelings expressed here by watching the video where BTS have a last group meal & chat before starting their group break & solo work. They all get emotional...mostly after RM's speech & him crying. He really needed the break a lot. The added strains of years being the leader & the responsibilities there. He just wanted to go for walks, be amongst nature, find himself again...just be a normal, everyday person. He needed time for himself.

My favorite RM song!! This song is so beautiful and emotional. This song gets me every time. It came out during their break in 2022 after RM said that he lost himself and was so burnout and done. Knowing everything he went through breaks me when I read these lyrics, but then the line "I'll return someday" arrives. He's saying it won't be forever. He needed this pause to heal and find himself again, but then he and all of BTS will return. Love this song and Namjoon!!

Rms lyrics are always so good and beautiful and a lot of people don’t pay much attention to the lyrics because it’s not in English but if you read the subtitles you realise how deep it is. Also I like that rm often tells stories with his rap just like in wildflower. It’s not about the fame or the money but about struggles and thoughts that he has very deep stuff. The lyrics always feel so real and genuine. RM truly is a poet and his pen game is so good.

Yes. You can love them all and have a bias. Some "fans" get extreme with it and become solo stans. Good luck... hope you don't have to deal with a lot of them. This is one of my all-time fave RM songs. I love everything about it. And that says a lot after you've heard how intense, vulnerable, and versatile his whole discography is. Love how you thoroughly enjoyed it too. No shame when he's on his grave because he's only ever going to be himself no matter what. And if you are taking notes... when you do RM's JOKE... make a note not to do the official mv... there are only auto generated subs which render the songs useless. Just search YT for "Joke Eng Subs" and the same for his "Do You." The original MV did not include subs. Whatever song you want to do, just search "Live Eng Subs" after and you'll usually get a good option. I'd choose the one with most views. Plus if it is done by the channel "Enjoy BTS More" she takes time to put accurate subs to some of their best live videos and her videos don't typically get taken down! As for normal lives, I don't know how much they do or don't anymore but for a long time, they did still manage to get out in town a bit, at least near where they live. I know once RM went on a hike and he came back in a live or a post (I forget) he laughed and thanked everyone for being so cool and mostly ignoring him and letting him have that personal time. He also bikes to work a lot. I know Jin talked about going to the nearby convenience store and that was all fairly recent, but yeah, in general, you know doing normal things has to come with so much limitation now. Ddaeng is a rap line song. Definitely watch the rap line version not the one with the vocal line. That is fine but as an after the original. Then DKDKTV has a great explanation video. So you can initially just enjoy the song without worrying about lyrics. Then understand the depth of the lyrics.
