G'day guys! We've been following you since we saw your rig at Goolwa about 2yrs ago I reckon. We've since sold our New Age and about to get another van in November but will still watch and like your adventures as you continue to be 'real' and give great advice for family travellers regardless of van type etc. Thank you all and safe travels for as long as you do it for 😊👍
Ah thats awesome, yeh almost 2 years ago since we were in Goolwa, lovely part of Aus down there. Thank you for following along, hope you enjoy your new van and safe travels!
Gosh your kiddos and the dog are awesome travellers. I loved the drone pictures they were something out of this world. You can bet this part of your trip will be great memories. It’s a highlight for me to sit here in my room in an aged care home in Sydney following along with you and enjoying the good times. Keep on travelling safely.
We are very lucky the kids and pup all travel so well! The Painted Desert was truly beautiful and worth tackling that horrible road. Thank you for watching
Great episode , plus the previous one showing us the Oodnadatta Track . So good you took your time as it showed us how not to rush and see all there is to see. We have been to William Ck and Oodnadatta but not the track itself . Enjoy your family time and we look forward to your next video .
Its pretty spectacular landscape out there, we do love it. Thanks for watching, the next episode Is uploading as we speak and was a lot of fun, can’t wait for you to see it
Holy macaroni. That drone footage was spectacular. When I look at that landscape, I wonder what geological events have taken place over millions of years. Stunning. Thanks team. 😊
Thanks buddy, was a pretty special place to fly the drone! Was an incredible landscape and yeh i have no idea what could cause it, its spectacular either way!
Great video, I’d give so much to see the Painted Desert but looking at that road you went on I don’t think id drive, maybe get a flight over it. So glad you had no problems this time on the track. Cheers Judy
The road from the coober pedy side was so much better, if you do go I would just go in and out on that road and not go on the road we did, was so bad. But the painted desert was truly beautiful
Wow how amazing the Painted Desert is. I have heard about it but have never been there so I didn't know what to expect. It's absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. The corrugations are terrible but I guess that's all part of the adventure. Thank you so much for sharing the Oodnadatta Track. Enjoy Coober Pedy. ❤
Wow can't wait to see the Painted Desert next year. Thanks for sharing - we are planning our Birdville Track/Oodnadatta track trip next year so have appreciated your perspectives😊
We loved the painted desert and just made it for sunset!! We ended up just pulling up on the side of the road on the way to Akaringa Station to get the sunset! 🙌🏾
Glad you made it. I see the road from Oodnadatta to Arckaringa Station is still terrible 😂 You did all the hard work and should’ve stayed a night at the station and spent some time on the walks at the lookout closest to the station (last place you were stopped) How amazing is that place.
We did consider it but everyone had had enough by then and just wanted to get to coober pedy. Would love to head back out when the kids are a bit older and we can do some hikes and walks
@@Ourwhittleadventure your last ep really touched me with your hesitation of what was next for your family and your decision to continue or lay down roots for a while. Totally felt your emotions and I think you’ll find some relief to be back with family and have support. I bet Liam will love it too ❤️
Thank you, we actually get to see some of that family this afternoon so we are quite excited today! Think we will feel a little rejuvenated on the family front
@marissamcardle8794 i think so too. No sorry no calendars this year, we ended up at a loss last year so not in a position to do that again. It would be better if we didnt have to pre buy a set amount and could just print on demand but thats even more expensive
Hi guys, loved the animated travel line on the Hema style map at the start, just wondering how you did it. Tried googling it but couldn't find anything as good as that. Cheers Gary
Hey i just downloaded an image of the map on the internet. Then i use davinci resolve editing software so i jump in fusion tab, theres a guy called Billy Rybka on Yat that does a great tutorial on how to do it. Would be hard for me to write instructions without showing it

Your drone footage is just amazing. 👍The painted desert is stunning. Well done to you all. The kids are so good. 😊
Thank you, i really enjoyed flying the drone there, exhausted all 3 batteries that day!
What a magnificent part of Oz! Great drone pics guys, ❤ the ep as always! Take care Cheers Cam, Ang & Ruby
Was pretty spectacular, worth the horrid road out there!
Great episode Mark. What a spot to fly the drone.
Exhausted all 3 batteries right to their limits

How good is it! The colours are so vibrant, one of our highlights to date. 👍🍻
I remember loving your vid of this place! So cool

Great vid... One Day....
One day!
Did the same trip in May with our road owl the corrugated roads wasn’t much fun the van handled it very well
We are so thankful the van handled it aswell as it did, road was rough!
We loved the painted desert and just made it for sunset!! We ended up just pulling up on the side of the road on the way to Akaringa Station to get the sunset! 🙌🏾
Yeh your trip there looked beautiful!
@@Ourwhittleadventure at that point we only had 2 out of 4 brakes working on the van! 😬
@GrabLifeByTheGourlays yeh you guys had a rough run of it on the Oodnadatta. Was not wnvious of you but your persevered and got it all sorted!

@@Ourwhittleadventure Awesome thanks so much for that!
@TheCampersAtlas your welcome
Nice one what did you have the tyre pressures running at?
20psi on the front, 25 on rear and in the van. Had been like that since we got on the Oodnadatta.
Those pressures seem to work pretty well for us
Was worth it
Agreed! Though we weren’t sure half way along that road
If it wasn't for your channels. We wouldn't see this beautiful place. Did U see anyone their
We drove past one person on the other side of the station when we left. Felt pretty isolated out there
Oh boy those coregations are bad!
Seriously bad! And 20kms in 2 hours
