I didn't even really think that much about it, but it was really striking about their designs. Don't know anything about Vergilius or the comics though, might have to read into them sooner or later

Up to chapter 3 myself. The game is pretty fun so far. The crew are actually rather entertaining to watch as well.

the game has a very, very slow start with lots of story and mechanics introduced...but the fighting itself gets somewhat fun and simple (for now) later on

After playing a couple hours, Ish def best girl. Natural ginger with freckles and long fluffy hair, love her personality. The fact it looks like she was a sailor it's definitely not a deciding factor, do i look like i'm the type of person who loves anime like High school fleet?
I actually quite like Ishmael too, but somehow out of all of them Gregor seems the most fun. Weird for me to not immediately start simping for an animu girl

Love how in the beginning, Lion was talking about the bus "paying the price for taking a wrong turn" only to immediately get turned to roadkill. Just the comedic timing of it was great.

oh the "old" girls can remain best girl, even though Don Quixote is really really funny, I have to admit. somewhat cute, too.
One of the things that i find pretty funny and interesting, is how the Modders-Community of Ruina created some of the most powerful and interesting receptions for the Limbus Sinners (Like Faust's reception: She only has 15 HP, but all attacks only deal 1 point of damage to her), or how Outis is the master of Smoke (Infinite Smoke that can be transformed into bleed-stacks), BUT THEN THE GAME GETS LAUNCHED, AND EVERY SINNER IS WEAK AS HELL, BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL GRADE-8 FIXERS.
Sigh. Im not complaining tho. I just find it funny.
19:35 - Yes. Each sinner has higher affinity with certain sins (Colors), also, each "coin" in each column represents different "pages" like in Library, with their corresponding dice (Now called coins) and effects. Also, if you click an enemy you can check their weaknesses and resistances. So, even when chaining multiple sins of the same color is always a positive thing, it may not be the most optimal thing to do in all cases. For example, bugs are weak to slice, so, even if I have 3 Blunt-Orange attacks that I can chain, I would rather to chain 2 Slice-Blue attacks to deal maximum damage. Its far more complicated than Ruina
I'm not sure I'd equate them to grade 8 but obviously they got some growing to do. Some of them clearly have a lot of battle experience due to their backgrounds (Gregor, Outis...) but they can't just give you powerhouses outright.
Yeah, it really is more complicated than Ruina at times, but at this point the thing I look for most is just my coin roll range. High numbers make me a happy lambda, low numbers go into one sided attacks

Hello again Lambda! Last I saw you was during your LoR playthrough. I had to drop your series because I hadn't made it to that point myself and wanted to avoid spoilers. Sadly I had to reset my progress a few times and still haven't made it to the end of the game, it's a difficult game, sometimes feels unfair...
Myself and my good friend decided to avoid this game mainly because of the Gacha mechanic. I had problems with Gacha back in Second Life, also why I avoid other Gacha games like Genshin Impact. It's honestly a shame because the story is still something I want to experience, kinda same with Genshin Impact. But because of the potential addicting problems of Gacha, I should avoid the game...
But thankfully you're posting this series so I can basically experience the game from a safe distance. So thank you.
Now, since I still haven't beaten LoR, I should probably go beat it because I'm afraid of potential spoilers this could bring up. Hope you have a good time and I'll see you then!

of course you're always free to watch it, but you can also just play it yourself if the non-monetization gacha mechanics (like the stamina system) don't bother you too much

The gacha rate is kinda good for a case of Online Gacha game, not that bad and hard but also not that too easy to get like *3 Identity or E.G.O

Yeah, I'll go into this in EP3 (i believe? I already recorded it, but it's hard to pinpoint where i'll cut stuff sometimes lol), but it seems "fair" so far. I guess since there's not even that much to unlock now, it will get worse over time, just like with other Gachas where it is really hard to get started later on... at least that's what I assume.

Watching this a month and a half after the game has dropped reminded me how awful the tutorial is on this game... Good god, I know project moon is known for unclear tutorials but the sheer confusion in the first battle was palpable
it actually took me until late CH2 and some parts into CH3 until I thought "okay, I understand this now"
only to stream it recently and STILL learn something. Although something that they added after release and never properly explained afterwards except for patch notes most likely...

Personal opinion, but my experience so far with the game can be summed to boring gameplay, amazing everything else.
Its weird, the gameplay is at the same time way too simple and way too complex, there is so many status and information everywhere, but very litle actual input from the player, and the regular battles are basically autoclick simulators.
But everything else is amazing, lmao
I'm only in the first chapter still (will play shortly, after answering some more comments), but so far I agree.
I really hope it picks up, because so far I'm mostly just breezing through (and that was even without me leveling up the sinners at all at first)
I fully agree about the messy (and frankly overcomplicated) UI, compared to the very straightforward inputs you can make. Hope they'll clean it up, but I've said this for a while now and I guess if they didn't change it in beta, they won't do it now.
@@LambdadeltaYT its kinda sad, because the story is really good, the gach and building teams is fun, but the gameplay itself is very meh, fighting the main abnormalities are the only actually fun battles for me until now.
I think that it would be much better if all fights were like the abnormality fights, there was some kind of resource system and you had at least 3 choices of skills instead of 2 per chain.
But i will probably stick to it anyways because of the story.

Sorry to say Lambda, but mobile gacha should really raise a red flag, wether its Project Moon behind it or not
There are gachas with good story, gameplay, and a decent f2p system.
But FOMO and gacha-system will always linger on the back of your mind, slowly poisoning the experience and potentially draining your wallet.
