    Caitlin is treated like royalty at the RSM Pro-Am but like a step child in the WNBA.

    • @joannmerver
      @joannmerver 7 днів тому +1

      That’s not true at all! She’s playing golf recreationally as an amateur. They treat ALL their celebrity amateurs the same way. Have you ever seen the hoopla over Steph Curry when he plays in Pro-Ams? She’s at WORK when she plays in the WNBA & actually competing on a team with a lot on the line. Stop making her a victim…she doesn’t see herself as one. She’s a professional basketball player by profession…she’s an amateur golfer for fun & recreation. HUGE difference!

      @@joannmerver Jeez, are you ALWAYS this pedantic? The same reply, nearly, to 3 different people. And you know what? Nobody cares. I know that all the ams in a Pro Am are treated well because it is in the interest of the tours to do so.....but to berate these non golf people for their views is beneath you or maybe it isn't.

      @joannmerver she's hated in WNBA, are you ok to be hated on your workplace? You seem like it's ok to be hated because it's in "work"

      @@joannmerverNice try. You obviously didn’t watch any of the WNBA games she played in. She was absolutely reviled by a big chunk of the league most of whom were black. It was very racial and very obvious.

      @@joannmerverAnd….you get two reply’s……to try and downplay the way she’s treated by the golf community is an extreme case of gaslighting. She not just another celebrity. She’s arguably the most popular person in sports right now.

      The pro golfers welcome ALL celebrities in any Pro-Am tournament…especially if they are professional athletes. It’s really so ignorant to be thinking this is is some special treatment for Caitlin Clark. Pro Am games are fun for the pros just as much as they are for the amateurs.

      The PGA & LPGA welcomes ALL their amateur players during Pro Am tournaments. This isn’t something new or unusual. Guess you’ve never gone to a Pro Am tournament before. The amateurs are the stars even though they don’t play anywhere close to the way the pros do. Check out how well Steph Curry or Tom Brady or Josh Allen play in recent tournaments….they are fun events!

      @@joannmerver not a big sports fan, but my boss would get tickets to multiple events such as the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and including the PGA tours in Irving, Texas. I do notice that the Golf fans are the most mature and respectful. Watching Caitlin Clark on and off the court is what got me into women’s basketball. I was surprise of all the jealousy and hate she received from WNBA and the players in that league. Watching Caitlin play in the Pro-Am golf league is like watching someone going for my bad relationship to a good one.
