@@evanstrain5808 😳what !? Really !? Omg Im there ! Thank you for the info 🤗 can’t wait to get my modified “lights” F450 body back 🤗 dude it’s gonna be epic ! By the way how is yours holding up ? as far as the lights is it durable or fragile/delicate do you now have to baby your truck or nothing changed ?
@@meefthepotatoe4363 yes I hope you get it installed, it is worth the time and money. And to answer your question, I would say yes, this modification will weaken the front end of the shell in my opinion. The grill piece is 3d printed with very high quality filament, but I would still argue that a stock front end could take much more abuse than a modified. There is a website called shakkahobbies I believe, and they sell a very nice ranch hand bumper for the 450, but it requires the full removal of the lexan bumper, which is supporting the custom grill...so to achieve maximum durability with any of these modifications, you will have to fabricate some kind of reinforcement bracket for everything.
@@meefthepotatoe4363 I couldn't give you definitive answer as to how this kit holds up to any kind of long term use. My truck currently only has maybe a full hour of light use in my driveway. If you are planning on trailing or off roading in general, I would get a second opinion.
Thanks for watching. This kit was just a beta version, as of now the updated kits come with a plug. You can pay 1:10 rodshop to pre mount the bulbs for you, they will install the whole kit on your shell if needed. In my opinion, installing the bulbs and lenses is one of the most satisfying parts of the install, the wiring is the most monotonous part.
For what they are charging for they whole kit it should come assembled as far as the lights with pigtails . I might do a full review on my Facebook page as I have 18k followers . Should of came with a light controller as well as they are very inexpensive.
Yea but atleast you're buying from and supporting a small American family business. Maybe in the future when they have the ability to stream line production, but they are a 2 person operation and it's a brand new business, so I believe the price to be fair in all considerations.
The shocks are stock. They have adjustable collars that can raise the height. Also the body mounts are adjustable, so the body is lifted as well. And yes the sway bars are upgraded, ordered from cen racing website.
Sorry if I made it seem like a nightmare. I was extremely tired and rushed when I made this video, but I promise it is worth the money and effort. This kit is not for beginners, if you have never installed a light kit it will be overwhelming for you. 1:10 rodshop can install it for you if you are willing to pay, or perhaps ask one of your friends to do it for you. If you want, you can pm me and I will help you the best I can. Please don't let this video discourage you, that was not my intentions.
How are you liking the 1:10 Rod Shop kit? Finished installing mine last week along with the sidesteps! Here's a link to my vids if you'd like to check them out! I used some clear hot glue and just painted the dried glue black to kill the light bleed. CEN F450 1:10: ua-cam.com/play/PL4oq7Bg6tx24Tll49_SP2IYJCDYWABNiB.html
By far the coolest light kit I've seen. I am following you, I mentioned you in the video, I will eventually switch to a light controller like yours. But after ordering all the Kaos upgrades, light kit, and 5th wheel, I was cleaned out lol. I regret not getting step sides.
Htech makes a better kit in my opinion at least the mounting is easier and it's all cnc aluminum. I waisted my money on this kit that will set in a bin
I suggest joining the cen racing f450 groups on Facebook and check out what everyone is using. I'm still running stock wheels, you can flip the fronts like mine for a deep dish look
That’s why they don’t stick out as much as mine did. I seen yours and flipped mine around last night but they stuck way to far out. I’ll swap the spacers front and rear.
@@drodsrcs4137 it is a lot of wrenching to flip everything. I do NOT reccomend using a power drill with the spike lug tool. It WILL strip, so be careful bro.
Dope
I'm really likin the super singles though!
😳👍👍Can I just ship you my F450 body n you do the light kit install? Dude that’s beautiful!
Haha no thanks. But 1:10 rodshop will!

@@meefthepotatoe4363 hey bud just going through the comments from last year, did you get the light kit finished?
For the price the lights should already come in the grill and the rest should be plug and go looks alsome though great video.

It looks like you have wheel spacers. Do you? I'm thinking about getting some for mine.
Everything is stock, front wheels are flipped.
@@evanstrain5808 Ok thank you.
A buddy of mine just ordered 1 of these kits and wants me to do it, and I am not looking forward to it.lol
There are around 40 individual bulbs, and each bulb has 2 wires. So that's atleast 80 spliced wires 😅

Did u buy the spring it looks lifted and the sway bars

sickkkkkkkk
Because you’re tapping into the street battery itself is that too much power going to the lights?
The light bulbs each have individual resistors. I run my light kit on 3s no problem
@@evanstrain5808 ok thanks nice truck btw
That is a freakin nightmare of a disaster! I think I’ll leave mine be with no light kit lol

Having a super hard time finding aftermarket rims for my project.
Any suggestions???

Where you get the grill n lights at
1:10 rodshop
Where did you get super single front wheels and what size are they? Can't seem to find many wheels and tires like everyone else has
They are the stock wheels, just flipped.
@@evanstrain5808 Ok, cool!
How you make the two wheel not be out that far after flipping them to the other side ?
You have to flip the front and rear wheel spacers and hex hubs. They are different sizes.
Where did you get the lug nut spikes?? And for the deep wheel look in the front it looks like you just flipped the wheel around??
Spike lugs sold on cen racing website, Silver or black. And yes, front wheel flipped, and front/rear wheels spacers and hex adapters are switched.
That’s why they don’t stick out as much as mine did. I seen yours and flipped mine around last night but they stuck way to far out. I’ll swap the spacers front and rear.

Wheels come with the truck. Cen Racing website sells the spikes and much more.
hello buddy where did you get the led kit? thanks
Ordered through 1:10 rodshop on facebook. Just message them!
Which kit is it
It's the 2018 kit...I think
Do you have the link
www.110rodshop.com/
What did you do to make the truck sit higher?
I just spun down the damper adjustment collars, also the body posts are adjustable, so the body is lifted too.
You can also install 90mm aftermarket shocks which will lift the truck.
This looks way more complicated then I would like I think I will just keep it with NO lights
There is just head lights you can get. It's really not as bad as it looks.
From what I see, this kit really isn't worth the headache.
It really depends on your skill level and motivation. Obviously not everyone will see this as a necessary upgrade.
