I was Wrong! The Difference between Poachers and Scaffold Knots.

For the last 4 years I've been calling the Poachers Knot the Scaffold Knot by mistake! Today I hopefully clear thing up!

The scaffold knot needs to be tied around the standing end (long end) not the working end (short end). When tied around the working end the knot can come apart and become dangerous if weight loaded. The Scaffold knot is the same as the Poachers knot but with an extra turn.

With this one I found everyone was/is calling it the Scaffold knot when it isn't
