awesome work! btw, you don't need to render GP into pngs. You can set your foreground images shading to alpha clip or alpha hashed instead of blend and in rendering settings enable Z pass.
alpha clipped looks horrible(almost n64/ps1 era tbh) and very limited usecases , and alpha hashed is hard to preview .. i hope they soon support gpu module for gp and therefor compatibility with alpha blended materials. its the last thing we need for a comfortable 2d animation workflow right inside the eevee engine
@@alexmehler6765 that is what ongoing eevee rewrite is all about. but this is far in the future, 6month to 1 year. but then we can expect to get the whole package, GP drawings reacting properly to light, cast and catch shadow, support refractions etc..
🤣 sorry man but your first line made me laugh out loud "N64 & PS1". The good point is that we know how to make old school graphics game 😆👍. But seriously, you're right about this fact👌. This is such an issue because for this project I tried different things and this was for me the solution (on my screen it does look clean). I admit that we need a proper and easy option to manage this 😊
Awww thank u so much 😊!!! I believe quite a full week to learn the painting part maybe 4 hours a day for 6-7 days (because I did a lots practice as well😅). Then the animation and compositing maybe 6 hours (the easiest part😄)
The work is beautiful, but this scene reminded me of the character Ged from Tales from Earthsea, also a Ghibli work, because I did not watch Princess Mononoke) How interesting that the character designs are so similar...
You're very right on that fact 🙂. It's a remake from Princess Mononoke not accurately similar 100% but close enough (I believe) 😄. Tales from Earthsea is another movie that I also watch a few times. For sure the characters design on both movie (all of them in general) are iconic from GHIBLI 😊. Really fascinatic!!!
Hi buddy 👋😃!!! So I used several brushes. In general I use the round brush and soft brush (like an airbrush style). Then for painting landscape and other stuff I use custom brushes from different artists like Ahmed Aldoori, Marc Brunet, a few from Ross Draw and Sakimi chan...I usually use normal brushes in overall 😊 but you can also check those artists that I mentioned, I got their brushes for free and you could find some good ones too ✌️😉. Cheers mate!
Yes I do take commission. At the moment my schedule is a little bit busy. I can send me a email if you want to expose me your project at tuatssslivestream@gmail.com I will check this out and give you an answer. Thank you!
You totally right mate💯, I mean I could do the same thing in others software like I used to do myself years ago (in Adobe flash, after effect, premier pro, etc). Indeed there's no need to used Blender in that particular type of animation 😄 but since I've been into Blender since 2 years now and more into Grease pencil for 2D animation, I'm trying to make and propose content around it 😉. So I truly do understand your point on this 🙂👍
This was incredible! Thanks for sharing!
Mind blowing
You are very talented man, keep up the work, and don't forget to share it with us.
Cheers mate 🤝😁 I really do appreciate!!! Count on me, I'll do my best to keep going delivery stuff like these 😉👍

I didnot understand why you use blender, nothing here is 3d right.
