Marin Hinkle has openly stated that she actually hated her character of Judith, because all she did was abuse poor Jon Cryer. She was nevertheless absolutely terrific in the role and she probably saved thousands of men everywhere.

It's probably cause he feels guilty for sleeping with Alan's divorce lawyer, then dumping her right before they go in to sort out the amount of alimony Alan has to pay

He didn't fit in with all the other excellent character portrayals. He wasn't believable as a suffering ex-husband, or billionaire genius, etc. Berta, Russell, Herb, etc., could really deliver a line. Walden just seemed to being reading words.

@@patrickdornoff2735 Walden is hated by most of the people who haunts these sites… The character was written badly to try and be a foil for Cryer’s character but it just didn’t have the same impact. Plus, and this wasn’t Ashton’s fault… the dynamic between the two brothers and Jake was much easier to write when the boy was younger.. As Jake aged that show had a shelf life that was rapidly dwindling. I like Ashton… I worked on a movie of his… decent guy. I thought it was courageous of him to try and step into that show… But it was really just the Network trying to milk it for a couple of more years… and I thought it really suffered when they tried the “Charlie’s daughter” plot line.
Despite a seemingly endless parade of women through Charlie's bedroom, Kelly Stables, Marin Hinkle, and Melanie Lynskey are arguably the best of the lot. Emanuelle Vaugier ("Mia"), Jenna Elfman, and Courtney Thorne-Smith are also gorgeous.
10:18 Berta had the best lines, followed by Evelyn and Linda Friedman.

Post Charlie episodes did not hit the spot at all, the show was just dead 😢
The show kept going, and a bunch of people kept on making a living. In a perfect world, Sheen would have kept on to a lackluster finale, but we got Walden instead.
I will say it really killed any redeeming quality Alan had.
Charlie is the friend everyone needs.

I grew up watching this series, my first gf had a lot of attitudes that reminded me of Judith. Fortunetly we never got married but some poor guy after me did. They divorced and now the guy is living hell.
Judith is the evil queen of divorce. She doesn't deserve Alan, Herb or Jake in her life.

Jon Cryer really leaned into the Allen character. You don't share friends or restaurants. The second time around may not be the best endeavor.
She's a nasty ex wife who took your house, getting $3700 per month in alimony and whatever for child support. I would never be kind and would not allow to use the son against me. You refuse to allow me to see my son? Fine, keep him and you raise him alone.
I refused to be manipulated by my ex. She eventually gave up trying to be nasty because I could care less. Life is too short to go through that stress.

Popular?? She’s the reason I stopped watching the show, no matter how funny Charlie and his mother were. The scenes with Judith were so painfully angering me that around season 4 just couldn’t watch anymore! Women like her even do exist in real life but no we only condemn the evil husbands but never condem the evil wives!
