The food has no strange meats no strange ingredients, it's actually the same greens chickpeas sauce meats in uganda so I don't know what the exaggerated reaction was,I think you are an African who grew up in Africa not an American who is used to pizza in Newyork even they love this food, I don't think you will enjoy someone saying matooke is to bland uncreative or boring, it would have Been better to comment on the richness of spices, cooking methods, preparation, I have seen you tasting coffee normally in mbale coffee video so I don't understand the reaction here

Eritrean and Ethiopian foods are so healthy, Njera is Probiotic while the lentils, beef, greens, salads etc are Prebiotics, good for the gut /brain/heart axis. I eat it most of the time .Njera to me has a taste of Malwa which i aslo love.
Look like the vegetarian plate with Lentils two different types.. The plate with the egg is doro wat it's mostly chicken, I see beef tibs looks like you got some green chicken too, depending on who makes it the injera can be more sour to the taste. We have a large population of Ethiopian and Eritreans in Washington state!
You do such a great job creating these videos I love them. Me and my husband and children love Ethiopian food and we treat our selves to it as much as we can. It's so tasty and it really is an Acquired taste.

The flat bread is injera and can't taste like chapati coz its made from a different cereal, I saw veggies there , khoboz , the yellow ones you thought were beans are lentils and some stew like can be Doro wot. It tastes well when combined with sauces served with. Great job nic, you have survived and did it once again in your own way.. (suggestion..... next vid mugoyo from scratch to finish 😃)👍
i'm from los angeles. ethiopian food is probably the first african food a lot of americans eat because there are ethiopian restaurants in major cities like l.a., nyc, philadelphia and d.c. i love it. i love injera and want to make some.
Ethiopians call it njera it's not chapati and it tastes differently,some people ferment it and others don't, my half ugandan half sudan man loves it so much
I really like Ethiopian/Eritrean food! I think the spiciness pairs well with injera, but I get injera is not for everyone! Next time just eat the stew and veggies with rice or chapati lol!

The only time I ate Ethiopian food while in Germany, I got a tummy upset. But somehow beef curry seems to make injera taste better. Naye it is not for me.
Looks a like Ethiopian food. I had it twice, it was good but I only had the vegan dishes. The bottom sponge like bread gives me painfull stomach gas. 😫
They don't have a reference for different foods because they don't use much spice. She is angood eater, she experiments and finds the way. Enjera is always eaten with other foods. She is and more open minded.

The restaurant owners probably don't want to disturb you eating. Most of us Eritreans are shy and we don't want to be filmed, especially not without being asked or to be forced into other peoples UA-cam content, that's a big no no!

Enjera I tried in the UK 🇬🇧 I found it rather not tasty sorry my dear friend Negat. But I told the Ugali was the bom for a bantu speaker East African like me. And the raw beef at the wedding heck to the 👎. Ethiopian and Eritrean food has a very acquired confusing taste for me! Sorry people but it's my honest opinion 🤷
