Thanks for covering the s22. Most are about the regular s22. Funny I've been on Galaxy for 8 years and was going to preorder the S22 before I heard about battery life. Now I'm waiting for the iPhone 14. Both iPhone and Galaxy are so polished at this point though
The s22 is a brilliant phone. Just switched from the Note8 (it was beat up as hell). I was going to go with the s22+, but the s22 felt so nice in the hand; it's refreshing to have a phone fit so comfortably in the hand again and be able to use the phone easily with one hand. It's really just a perfect phone, not to mention it's also a beauty to look at.

I’m switching from iPhone 13 to the S22 plus. I’ve always been on team Apple up until now but the S22’s design is simply unmatched, especially the pink gold one. I also wanted a few features such as 120hz, thinner bezels, and no notch. Battery life isn’t very good on the S22 though which is why I went with the plus, which should get similar battery to that of my 13. Hopefully I made the right decision! Goodbye Apple, hello Samsung😎

Brilliant review only thing is the iPhone has more features for your money you said I would have to disagree three cameras ,120htz screen 240htz touch sampling more ram faster charging speed there is a lot more going on with s22 than the iPhone
Camera sensor is larger on the iPhones, to me they look more pleasing. Video on iPhone is also hard to beat, he said stabilization on the S22 is better but I'm not sure about that since other reviewers said otherwise. Plus battery optimization and faster CPU benchmarks. This is impressive considering it's last year's iPhone against this year's Galaxy. And I say this as a Galaxy user for 8 years straitb
@@NuggetsXInfinite the sensor is larger on the s22 at 1/1.5", i think apple is around 1/1.7"... and then beyond the camera, faster charging, 120hz super bright display, telephoto camera, notch free design and the choice becomes clearer. I have to agree on the battery though and video capture where i phone wins.
@@kabangaleri8040 I'm waiting to see what the iPhone 14 brings, just want to try it out. 120hz on my S20fe is nice but it does drain battery too fast for my uses. Either way, I have had a really positive experience with Galaxy phones and they're easy to recommend
*The only downside with S22 is it's battery-life, else it's overall a much better device over iphone 13.* A15 bionic is great but the restrictive nature of ios heavily limits it's full capacity in practical usage. You need to invest heavily in Apple ecosystem to even start getting productive. Androids do way better with multi-tasking, background app/data management... basically Androids are way more productive is what I felt. Android's also talk to other devices, gadgets, cables, plug-ins and operating systems(Windows, Linux etc) which is kinda impressive/practical. That's the case with Macbook's as well. Great M1 chips but kinda restricted. Windows, Linux etc do better with core programming, multi-tasking and Gaming as well. Atleast it's good for Video editors/Content creators but still useless for real Cinema production. Samsung and Google have managed to be extremely productive/non-restrictive while being extremely Secure. Although for most, (less is more)simplicity matters hence the sky-rocketing Apple sales. *Ps:* I can surely see Samsung following Apple's Less is More strategy after S10.
Yes, OS is more the deciding factor than anything else these days. The OS is also in respect to the ecosystem; Apple nailed this and that is why it is my de facto smartphone choice as I live with iPad, Apple Watch and MacBook Pro. I am productive and experienced with these and no point changing just because you can place icons where you want or other Android exclusive features. I am sure this applies similarity to Android users.
I agree 100%, I feel like I am doing things a lot faster on Android, my main sell for the S22 over 13 Pro is multitasking capabilities, nothing more. For me the 13 Pro does better photos and is a prettier phone but damn, I think that I will stay with Android, just because iOS is limited.
Probably the only 2 phones most people should be buying. I’d skip the Pixels for their software bugs on the recent releases and the S22 having more features and longer software support. The 13 is great for most people who live in the Apple Ecosystem. If you want 120hz on an iPhone you will need to pay up for the Pro which honestly I think is worth it. Either way, in the US you can find a ton of carrier deals so take advantage of that and get an S22 series or 13/13Pro.
I found the complete opposite as far as the portrait mode on the S22. I took my son to the park yesterday (he's 1 year, 2 months) and I accidentally used portrait mode and they came out great, again unintentionally. Hah
I've been on Team Galaxy since forever and I've played with iPhone as well. But IMO, the main difference is its just like comparing PC to Mac, you get updates all day for different things and that's why it's a always in the works. Apple always has a here's your update approach so be happy, (even if it sucks) it's optimized for the latest even if you don't have the latest
Thanks for the informative video here. I started as an iPhone fan the first few generations they’ve been out from 2007 up until 3 of them were stolen from me right from under my nose - literally (I know right?? Like, how??). I learned one thing from this experience: don’t have your phone with you in a crowd and turn your back for a second. Anyway, I became a Samsung Knight following that ordeal and had/tried all of the galaxy models from the 2nd generation Skyrocket up to last years Note 20 Ultra. I actually alternate between a most recent iPhone 13 pro max which is awesome and will soon (or eventually) trade up my Note 20 Ultra to the S22 Ultra to see how fully committed I (expect) to be using it. This video has further put me close to solidifying a decision.
Regarding phot and video,,,, Iphone is like Nikon DSLR and Samsung is like Canon!!! On Nikon everything is greener,,, the photos is ready for Facebook or instagram, on other side Canon si like Samsung what u see with your own eyes is what u get from photos of Samsung,,,, close to reality..
I'm both disappointed on both Samsung and Apple. They could have done so much more by now. If Huawei wasn't screwed over by The US they would have made the entire industry evolve faster.
What else could they honestly do at this point that would make future upgrades pointless. I like the reuse of designs and refining tech. It is why iPhones 12 megapixel cameras trade blows with 108 megapixel sensors. I think Samsung has finally learned this and it is why their two phones this year a bangers. The S22 Ultra unless it is $999 is not worth it when the S21 Ultra has been proven to be almost a better phone. However, the S22+ is a second year around and a better design in theory since it is a reskin.
They already did so much more. Just that they did it on the Galaxy Ultra, Z Fold/Flip and Pro/Pro Max lines. Regular Galaxy S and iPhone 13 supposed to be the safe and polished choices for everyone else. Thats the whole point of these devices.
with my s22 i found that the battery wasn't too good for its price but then i changed the varible refresh rate to a constant 60 hz and now it lasts for ages
These video's against Apple really don't make my decision easy since I find Apple limited so I stick to android. I think Samsung vs other Android would be more better comparison for Android lovers that have no intention of getting iPhone no matter how great it is
I have used Samsung galaxy for years. Then in 2018 I tried the google pixel which I loved. Then my family convinced me to upgrade to the iPhone 11 and let me tell you I’m not a fan. You really can’t customize any aspect of the phone ( which I’m used to coming from Android) and it’s magically using memory.,My biggest complaint is it takes 10 minutes to send a picture message. I thought it was Verizon but my friend has galaxy with Verizon and sends no problem. I’m also near Madison WI so there’s service here.. The battery life is good with the iPhone. I’ve gone 2 days without changing it. Overall iPhone is boring as hell and is starting to get slow already. I’ll be switching back to Samsung with my next upgrade.
Got my s22 on sale. The battery is better than my old note 9. The note 9 was way better when it was new though. I really like the size of the s22 although alot of features missing compared to my note 9. Like the notification led, I miss it. But I worked around that by enabling the always on display to display when new notification arrives. Anyways, zero regrets and I love the shape and size, a bigger battery would be nice to have
*Thank you so much for focusing on the S22, almost everyone is FOCUSING JUST ON THE ULTRA lmao, I ordered my Green S22+, they were all sold out at Verizon* ❤👏🏻
I just bought them both to equalize the advantages and disadvantages. Now if the Samsung lacks of something that Apple does better then i have no issues. Thanks 2022
I've been with Samsung for many yrs and decided to upgrade and try the iPhone 13 pro... tried it for a few days and found I couldn't use my Zedge ring tones on the iPhone and found I had to jump thru hoops which I was disappointed with, found it difficult to do certain things on it as well and the themes are terrible on the iPhone!! So I decided to go right back to my Samsung and stay thete!!!
Iphone maybe ran smoother because of that, we are limited to do something. In one side its good, but the otherside its annoying hh, btw thanks man for your comment, maybe tommorow ill get my samsung s22 !! Im samsung user too
S22 is just better value for money, its features are on par with the iPhone 13 Pro. The iPhone 13 pro cost $1,700 in Australia the s22 is $1250. I used Apple for years, from ipods to every iPhone up until the iPhone 7 it's just unjustifiable. I even tried going back with the iPhone 12 pro. But traded it back in for a Galaxy after 6 months.
No since the notch samsung was always better. The iphone 6 on the othee hand was way better than the galaxy s5 and was the best till the s7. (Then they both were great) no samsung is way ahead with the s22 plus or even with last years 21 ultra.
I upgraded to the S22 from my LG G6.. Got a great deal $499 with 256gb on the pre-order deal. This is my first major phone purchase so far it’s okay..love the green and I even made a short video of it. The build quality is outstanding spec for spec the Samsung is better than Apple. To me all iPhones are way overpriced and even at $499 I feel somewhat guilty for paying that much for a phone.🤙🤙
Ash The Duke So far very good. Though I suppose I should really test it with a day of heavy use. Good thing though it does charge quick! Funny now I see the iphone 13 will be offered in green.
@@TopSecretVid It's been a month, how is the battery life? I'm not a heavy phone user but from some reviews i see on reddit even just having the phone off can drain a substantial amount of battery. Do you have battery problems still?
Hey a really good video and thank you for covering the regular s22 all the other reviewers are doing the ultra but not all of us want a gigantic phone and I guess I'm going to have to wait for the battery review. That was my one question about that phone.
Got my S22 (green) yesterday, and agree with your picture-taking comparison against the iP13......I had the iP13P for 30 days, then sent it back mainly because I prefer Android, and also because the outdoor pics always seemed a bit "bright". That said, the iP13P was very reliable and pictures with the S22 take a little more "work". Also agree that the battery on S22 does not last all day, and while not an issue for me, it will probably be the main complaint.

The choice is very difficult here in India. After cashback and offers, iPhone 13 is available for 68K ($900) where as S22 can be grabbed for 69K ($915, with free Buds2). I saw both in stores and the choice is very difficult. I like the looks of S22, also it has an extra 3x zoom camera. But I am sure battery life of iPhone 13 will be far better than S22 considering it has iOS, A15 and 60 Hz display. One more thing, aluminum frame of S22 is glossy and will gather fingerprints easily if you are using phone without a case.
@@saurbhgoyal4481 Bro since I am using iPhone XR and I like iOS, I might go with iPhone 13. I find iOS easy to use and clean. Moreover I prefer FaceID over fingerprint. But this S series of 2022 is special. If you like Android, then go for S22.
There is no comparison ...just don't understand how any phone companies don't work on thier battery optimization in this era ...iphone battery is a beast and Android really needs to work on this aspect instead of giving 100 features ..

People that have IPhones like myself, I believe, we value reliability above everything else. For the most part IPhones are ready to go right out of the box. I noticed that with a lot of Android phones, manufacturers are pushing for updates for the camera to work properly. I want my device to be ready to go right away. That should be every device. I don’t want a device that need updates for something that should be working properly right out of the gate. Both OS have pros and cons. So, no need to get hostile. I switched from android (galaxy S8) to an iphone 13 not long ago and I doubt I'll be coming back... Apple are indeed greedy and some of their practices are absolutely unexcusable, but what convinced me in the end is the longeavity.. Just knowing that the phone will be supported for 5 years easily (or more) did help justify the price for me. Besides that, the experience is very smooth, I like how it looks and feels. Costing about the same as much I just think that its a better deal in the long run
if you go from an s8 to an iphone 13, obviously the iPhone is much better. Samsung has improved a lot over the years, and now the s22 series promises 5 years of software support
Being in Malaysia we used to get only the Exynos Version. Making it a pretty frustrating phone to live it especially with the battery and heating issue. My s20 (Exynos) had so much issues from mobile data strength, heating, to battery life. And now there's also som screen glitches which makes the screen totally white and unusable. However I still love Samsung as their OS is by far the best atleast to me it is. I was thinking twice to get the new S22 untill they announced Malaysia was getting the Snapdragon version. I tried iOS for a month, absolutely hated how dumb it was. There are hidden shortcuts and features that are normal on androids. It's so basic, if you only use your phones as a phone go apple. If you like the Smart aspect of the phone and like tech and more ram and higher refresh, rates and more features. Go Android. Day to day iphone is a great brick that makes calls and text surfs the web Magsafe is slower and the magnets not strong, and the iPhone doesn't have backwards charging. I honestly after a month I honestly don't know how anyone supports or promotes apple. I was blown away coming from Samsung, how dumb down apple is. People like it because if you're 60 you can't get into trouble.
it almost feels that the camera in the iphone seems to be more subtle, while the s22 takes white & makes it more yellowish, kinda ruins the experience once you notice it. but maybe its your footage, maybe its the lighting settings, idk. just got the s22, lets see how it holds.

Samsung is nice and you can literally do anything with it but iPhone has better longevity and software. It could be boring and restrictive but if you want a phone that has the best resale value and last longer for you in the future. I would say in my opinion get iPhone. For a phone that is just for fun, get Samsung.
As a fellow Apple sheep and a fellow Apple rep for my mobile store, the S22 is a much better value for your buck if you are not in the Apple ecosystem already. You get all three cameras and unless you want the better battery, do not care about 120hz, and want the Apple exclusive stuff; then get the iPhone. If you want the bang for your buck get the S22. Especially since my carrier literally just discounted it by $200 making it the same price as the Pixel 6.
The iPhone 6s Plus from 2015 is still getting updates from Apple. I don't see Samsung pushing updates to the S7. Some might say long term support from Apple makes their product a better value.

*The only downside with S22 is it's battery-life, else it's overall a much better device over iphone 13.*
A15 bionic is great but the restrictive nature of ios heavily limits it's full capacity in practical usage.
Just got my s22 yesterday and so far battery life has been pretty good. This is coming from a long time Note user
You nailed it. The S22 is a better phone. Don't get me wrong, the iPhone have features I do like but it's nothing to say it's better.
The battery life on the s22 is great
I agree 100%, I feel like I am doing things a lot faster on Android, my main sell for the S22 over 13 Pro is multitasking capabilities, nothing more.
For me the 13 Pro does better photos and is a prettier phone but damn, I think that I will stay with Android, just because iOS is limited.

Bro now Samsung galaxy s22 is only 37k INR. isn't it worth. What about battery health. Is there any heating issues. Or should I go for iphone 13.

Makes me want to carry a throw away phone and wallet.
I think the same thing. I believe they have become a bit lazy cus they are dominating and so can pop out new phones every year with minor changes.
Can you give some examples on what they could have done more?
Don't buy Chinese phones

Tip...I Disable all useless apps running in the background and disable auto update for the apps.
I bought iphone 13pro few months ago but I was samsung fan before but I preffer 2days battery on iphone which has smaller battery like s22 and I heard many complains from s22 not just the half day battery life. Im stay on iphone yet Im use to it now. Not many option from this size of android phones and I dont like 2 hands phones from samsung but Im stay with iphone this year.
Yeah, its a better choice cuz the S22 series has a SoC that is not really good (8 Gen 1 heats up so bad that it throttles) Hopefully they use the 8+gen 1 to the S23, much more better and cooler
Excellent video! super clear. thanks
Nice review can you give link
To the wallpaper
I wanna see a screen and bezel durability comparison on these two devices
Hi!! In August, I will buy my first phone! So do you think I should buy Samsung Galaxy s22?
Got the s22 plus and returned it for the iPhone 13. Kind of regret it because compared to the s22+ I wasn’t getting good reception on the iPhone 13 as I did on the s22+ but the i13 battery seems to last longer than the s22+. Thought about returning the iPhone 13 for the 256gb s22 but we’ll see.
How’s it going now?
Reception is good on both
Bottom line: Samsung and Android have surpassed Apple.......simple as that, imo.
The speakers and the microphones are better inside the Apple Iphone 13 - no audio limiter when recording video with the Samsung S22 - DISTORTION - is a major problem when recording a video standing in front of a very loud speaker - HOW can I get a limiter and a compressor like with the GoPro 10
how are the speakers and sound quality on the iphone 13?
Battery, performance and camera going for iphone what else is left for s22 with poor battery , heatings issues and grainy cameras
This video was helpful, Also glad you were not only for Iphone which many do. I just traded me old phone for the S22 so far I am liking it and love that it small like my old S10e which was good phone for years. Now need to learn this new one and Hope I can understand this like me old one, I hope i pick the right one which never have had a Iphone but maybe next time i will try one.
Misspoken when he said iPhone has more features. I don't think that's ever been the case when comparing both UI. it has always been a complaint by most apple fanboys that Samsung has to much going on
Yoo, where can I get that wallpaper in the dump nail
S22 have natural colors camera expariance and iphone warm
How is Magsafe charging better than a standard wireless charger?
It's just a 15W wireless charger... with a cable, that attaches to the back of your phone, meanwhile you can plug it with a wire and get 20W charging with the same compromise.
ive watched a few videos and asked friends.. the battery is the deal breaker. for me. Samsung just doesnt have the software apparently to manage the battery.. ill be switching to iphone 13 after many years with samsung.. just sick on my phones dying while my friends iphones are still at 75%
I own the Samsung S 22 plus with 256 gigs - Samsung located the 5g antenna on the lower right side directly over my left hand when holding the phone - a very poor location - for Maximum 5 G Performance- I am making a strap for the back of the phone so my hand will never block the 5g antenna
