Charlie said if I would try camping, he would take me there for dinner lol 😉 That was our first time UA-cam videoing, so not great 😑 We went back for my birthday, our 3rd video, again not great. We have reservations Valentines weekend with friends. Hopefully we will get a better video then 😊 If y’all get then chance sometime, you should go. I feel like y’all would love it! It’s a great experience and the food is good as well. The decor and lights are amazing 🤩
I’m glad you had a good meal. I’m a filet mignon girl, through and through, and when we go for a really special meal I get a bone in filet. But I’m a firm believer that you can go to the same restaurant at two different times, have the same chef grilling the same cut but have them turn out differently because they’re two different heads of beef. Dad used to say if the animal was hateful, the beef would be bad. We’d all laugh and say it wouldn’t matter if it was ground up but he was positive. LOL! 🐄🐮🤠
I agree, that it can be different on different visits. Usually, I like a good bone-in ribeye, but this just wasn't as tender as the many boneless ones I've gotten there. It was good, still. But I would definitely go back to the boneless on our next visit.
I love this place! Dee The bartender is awesome, and Brenda and the rest of servers are great! Food always of good quality! Christmas Decor cannot be beat!!

I think the decorations are pretty much the same, but they still are beautiful. Yes, I normally love a bone-in ribeye, because the bone is supposed to make it more flavorful. I ate there years and years ago when my kids were very little. The prime rib was out of this world and I had the world famous gorgonzola salad that rocked my world. Great video as always.

Hi, I just booked a tiny home on air b and b in the town of Canton NC for 3 days. Any recommendations of different places to go? Former chef, just looking to explore places up your way, keeping it simple.
There is definitely lots to do in the Maggie Valley or Asheville areas. I would recommend Biltmore House in Asheville, or taking a ride up into Great Smoky Mountains National Park, assuming the road isn't closed due to snow. To find about Highway 441 in the National Park, call 865-436-1200 and follow the voice menu to "Weather and Road Conditions Report". It will always tell you if that road is open or closed, before any others are listed. I am not very familiar with Canton itself, because we don't usually get off the Interstate and go into Canton. But you are pretty close to the areas I mentioned above.
We have not made it to J. Arthur's yet but it's not because we haven't wanted to go. Just haven't been to Maggie Valley to try it out. I love the decorations and those cheese sticks kill me! Everything looked delicious. 😋

@@NCMemoryMakers Ok, we finally got there on Friday. Man that place is gorgeous. Mom said that the guys who own the Cabbage Rose gift shop in Maggie do the Christmas decorations. They're fantastic. The meal was just as great! We had the cheese sticks and they're easily the best I've had. Crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside and that marinara was phenomenal! Per your recommendation I decided to go with the boneless ribeye. The most tender ribeye I've tasted and the flavor was great. Mom had the chicken marsala and she loved it as well. Our experience was so good we're going to try to go back before Christmas. Thanks to your video we finally got out there to try it and I'm really glad we did.
