At the end of your vid, you show that the tool is also straight along the x-axis. It looks like that is the first step before you indicate the tool for the y-axis? In case that the tool was not straight along the x-axis, how would you indicate the tool for the x-axis? I was on the mills but I'm learning lathes now and it all seems hard. I'm thinking that with the same set up you have in this vid I would loosen the bolts to the tool holder and indicate the rod and tighten the bolts just like we would indicate a Kurt vise. Let me know how you actually do it, this was a very helpful vid, thanks.
Jog down in x. Set indicator on pin right side of pin y positive left side y negative.. zero out y+ on indicator back away in zero flip spindle 180 touch indicator on y- see how dark it is off from zero. Adjust half of what it's off +. Back off z and return spindle to zero. Indicate y+ again. If off adjust half the amount and check negative again. Back and forth until you are at zero on both.
@@Tnj8228Thank you for answering. I don't understand English well, it's hard for me to understand what you wrote! Is it possible for you to make a video with an explanation!??? I will be very grateful .

cool video thanks for posting
hello, please explain what exactly you are doing, I’m just learning and I don’t understand at all how you set the Y axis????

When you are at zero on both in offsets type in y0 and push measure. Might be different for haas controller either way zero out y in offset.
