Lily my mum and I have a lot of allergies. Mum can't use anything like scented candles or washing powders, soaps, and clothing irritates her skin. She can't be around sprays or chemical products you buy from the shops for any length of time. Lush is out as is all perfumes. There are a lot of chemicals in products these days. You might need to use organic products too. There is an organic tanning lotion In the health food shop. 🌲

When I first got my pandora bracelet my mum bought me the same charm to!
LOL Merry Christmas to you and your family. I am not able to join my family this year, unfortunately. But your energy and joy in your own Christmas has me smiling. If you haven't already, Try spreading generous amounts of baby oil, and let it sit for 15 minutes or more, before using your scrub. Or soak in warm water with a heavy bath oil, before using the scrubs, the oils break down the components of the tan.
Chlorine also breaks down the tan, a long swim in a local pool, then use you scrubs in the shower right after. Hope you fell better soon. :)
