Tornadoes, more specifically water spouts, are actually pretty common in certain places in New England. No more than a few months ago at a buddies place in Maine, got to see one big as a skyscraper over some lake. Instead of talking about that, we gotta talk about the temperature swing from 50 Degrees to 109, back down to 50 in less than 48 hours. That gave us hell, melted all the cooking chocolate in my place.
Unless those Tornadoes does us a favor and do a bit of skedaddling in New York or Mass, then lets keep them on the news, that's something the rest of NE will want to see!

It's more common than you think. Up in Maine they start as Watersprouts, sometimes nail lake-side cabins and mountain areas and damage boats and whatnot. They get notifications and news alerts for them monthly, but not much comes of it though.

I'm in the north east corner of Fulton county NY. Which is along the very southern edge of the Adirondacks and I haven't seen anything all day besides some rain.
As a person that lives in Texas, let me give you a little advice...Don't look for something you really don't want to see, and they are alot more dangerous at night!!! Stay Safe Y'all!!!

im in nyc and theres nothing yet but its supposed to be a thunderstorm in a few hours. Yesterday there was a really bad thunderstorm, heavy rain and a lot of wind.
Can you show the active NEXRAD towers in the area so we can get a good idea of where the storms are forming...usually around the 50 nautical mile circumference of the tower.

Bro Revere is ON THE OCEAN and a Decade or so ago a TORNADO Formed on the Chelsea/Revere line on around the Ice Skating rink area on the River there. Went STRAIGHT up Broadway Revere the Main drag in the city then died heading into the Lynn March Road area . ANYTHING IS TRULY POSSIBLE this happened about a mile or so inland from Revere Beach did some good damage also lol PS Pretty sure it doesn't like the MAFIA either 🤐

Up in Maine they get to the same height as the Mountains, roughly 2000 thousand feet, though not really tough enough to do more than chuck around crap laying around and move some boats about. They get notifications and warnings monthly about them, nothing ever comes of it though, 99.99 Percent chance you'll be alright and nothing will happen. If you really want to make sure you're set, chuck some sheetwood onto your windows and cover your car with a thick tarp and blankets, both keep away glass-smashing rocks and sticks. If you don't got a tarp, get a large comforter you're willing to get wet, soak it fully then put that on your car. Helps absorb a lot of kinetic damage, good for debris and hail.
Also pay attention to Social Media, it'll give you live video way before any news station. Be safe.
