Tim, thank you for sharing your wonderful record of an excellent Gala day at the Bluebell Railway. The quality of the film, sound and editing is your usual professional standard. I last visited the Bluebell when Kingscote was not long re-opened and passage through to East Grinstead was but a dream and a huge work project for so many. The development of whole extended line, huge planning and investment, not to mention the host of supporters and quality of preserved stock is so much more now than when I first visited when my children were young: they are now parents themselves. The video was excellent; especially the return to Sheffield Park across the misty paddocks and the closing sequences as things wound down for the day. Atmosphere or what? Stunning. Thanks for your effort and for generously sharing the production.
Hello Peter, thank you for your kind comment. I have watched and photographed this line almost from the day it reopened, it didn't happen overnight, the last section to East Grinstead seemed to take forever, but it was worth the wait. Now the line is connected to the national network, all kinds of possibilities open up such as becoming a destination for special trains from all over the country and Clan Line was able to arrive under its own steam without the risky road transfer. The standard of carriage restoration is second to non, both inside and out. Even the weather did its bit, all in all a most enjoyable day out, I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. Cheers. Tim.
Cheers Ted, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm in the Westy Country at the moment, I've captured a few gems in the last couple of days and I'm looking forward to sharing them on UA-cam as soon as they are edited. Take care. Tim.
Thanks tim for another wonderful day out, bluebell is my favourite restored railway,It's great to be out of lockdown i feel like i'm out on parole after spending 4 months in the big house cheer's bob from a wet syd.
Hello Robert, it's nice to know you are enjoying your freedom, I spent a wonderful day on the Bluebell Railway, things are almost back to normal here after our own series of lockdowns, I've given up on watching the TV News, its far too depressing, whereas the reality is that life here is pretty good. Don't break your parole conditions and I hope you've seen the last of lockdowns in Sydney. Take care and stay safe. Tim.

I love your early morning shots in particular. They were such special weather conditions on Saturday, from the morning fog and mist to the lovely sunset. 😊 Hilary
Hello Tim, especially the No.53028 “Clan Line” with its unusual chassis is an impressive steam loco. No wonder you visited the Bluebelll-Line in the autumnal haze because of her. In any case, the steam gala kept its promise. - Greetings, Heinz
Hello Heinz, I'm sorry I have been slow to reply, I've only just found this comment. "Clan Line" is a beautiful locomotive with unusual wheels peculiar to Bulleid designed locomotives - www.clan-line.org.uk/tech/wheels/ It was a wonderful Autumn day with the leaves beginning to fall and the early morning/early evening mist highlighted the orange sun. Best wishes. Tim.
53028 should be 35028, that will teach me not to copy and paste info from the internet, I'm surprised its taken this long before it's been noticed. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. Cheers. Tim.
Hi Tim! Wonderful video, you really let it smoke. That's the way it has to be. A maximum of 15% of the steam power is allowed on the rails, the rest (85%) is used in the air. Otherwise it wouldn't be a steam economy. 👌 Keep up the good work, Tim. Cheers 🍻 from the Mühlviertel.
Hello Hans, days out don't get much better than this one. Awesome weather, beautiful locomotives and carriages, everyone was smiling. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. I hope your foot is more comfortable this evening, you deserve a rest and a 🍺. Take care. Tim.

Foi um dia maravilhoso, o tempo ensolarado, as locomotivas e as pessoas que conheci fizeram uma ocasião muito memorável. It was a wonderful day, the sunny weather, the locomotives and the people I met made it a very memorable occasion.
Oi, o outono pode ser uma bela época do ano aqui no Reino Unido, às vezes um pouco molhado, às vezes um pouco frio, quando o sol sai as cores são incríveis. Hi, Autumn can be a beautiful time of year here in the UK, sometimes a bit wet, sometimes a bit cold, when the sun comes out the colors are amazing.
G'day Tim, cheers from the 71st day of our current Melbourne lockdown. What a great video, thanks a lot my friend. Hopefully PBR will re-open again early next month and I can see if my uniform still fits! Stay Safe - Puf'n Pete.
Hello Peter, it's nice to hear from you. The Bluebell Railway put on a first class event and the weather was just perfect. I bet the end of lockdown can't come soon enough, Menzies Creek must be a very quiet place at the moment, with just the local bird life for company, maybe not that quiet, those cockatoo's make a racket. I look forward to seeing a selfie of yourself in that uniform with a service train in the picture. Are you missing the young ladies wanting to be photographed with you? 🙂
Bluebell Railway is a fancy name. One of my hens is called Bluebell. 😉 1:32 The typical English mist. 😊 I am probably one of the very few that likes it. 💙 6:26 And I love the steam locos as well. Reminds me of the Harry Potter films that my daughter loved watching growing up. And she would ask me why these locos spew steam and ours don't. You know, she decided then and there that steam locos are better because that's what Harry Potter used to ride on. 😃 47:3148:22 The mist blanketing the countryside. What's not to love? 💜 49:45 Lamps in the window-table. Restaurant wagon? 🤗 52:06 They even have faces? That's charming! 💛 Some of these locos are so shiny and well preserved that it's as if they were new. They are definitively not rust buckets, ready for the museum. Tim thank you for the interesting parade of locos. 😄💖✨
Hi, I enjoyed reading your comment, my sister has a cat called Bluebell. I love the low lying mist, it usually appears near rivers along the South Coast at this time of year. You and your daughter have good taste, steam engines are alive, they each have their own character, it's so much nicer to see them in action rather than sitting dormant in a soulless museum. Harry Potter, is responsible for a lot of young railway enthusiasts, just as Thomas the Tank engine is for previous generations. The Pullman carriage with its table lamps, beautiful interior woodwork and smart paint job really looks the part, only a smartly dressed waiter serving up a delicious dinner is missing. Stepney the Bluebell engine is the real deal, the one the Rev Awdry writes about in his Thomas books, this article brings Stepney to life - ttte.fandom.com/wiki/Stepney . Steam locomotives never looked so clean and tidy back in the days when they ruled of the rails, the ones featured in this video are a real credit to all the volunteers who look after them. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. Take care. Tim.
@@Timsvideochannel1 I live in Australia and as you say, near rivers during the wet season the mist is always present in the mornings and also in the valleys where I live. And I think it looks sublime. I come out in the early mornings to the back veranda to feed the chickens (they free-range) and have a coffee while I admire the view. And I am spellbound watching the mist swirl around. It's a lovely experience. Yes, I remember Thomas the Tank engine, although I wasn't so much into trains then as I am now. And to be honest, even now I prefer the journey more. I think locos are more for men to look at, admire and talk about. Females love watching the countryside and the scenery from the train. 🤗🥰 I read about Stepney and it sounds to me like a character from a role-playing game that I loved participating in.
