It's 2021 and the Eufy 11s is still the best budget roboVac out there! Has the best reviews!
We have two EUFY 11S that scoot around every night at 01:30 am. They start within seconds of each other and cover the house extremely well when we are asleep. Plus we often start them manually (pushing the blue button, or use the remote) as we leave the house because we do find them a tad noisy. Yes, they are noisy and they like to knock on our bedroom door! It can be fun to watch them "ping-pong" around the various rooms until they go "orange-light mode" and quietly start sniffing for their EUFY charging station. They will find it 9 times out of ten ( 10/10 in a small apartment we think...) and soon ready for work the next morning.
We clean the "nappy" i.e. the dust collecting box every two three days and honestly, it is a bit scary to see how incredibly effective the pair really are in doing the cleaning job around the house. So no doubts that they clean our floors very well! If you like to be bare-foot or walk around in socks, you do appreciate the smooth feel of clean floors.
.
The tips I can share is that it is a very good idea to fix the charging-station with Velcro-tape to the wall shirting board behind it. If loose, the Robovac tend to push it around so it may end up out of reach.
The other tip is that we don't see much point in using the two removable filters, a HEPA filter and a sponge-mat. We have tossed those two filters and run our two EUFY 11S team with just the one prime screen filter. It is so much simpler to clean and maintain and the power is definitely boosted when running without the two extra sucker-filters. Maybe the additional two filters are worthwhile if a family-member suffers from some airborne allergy?
We have found our pair of Robovac a very good purchase and blissfully without silly distractions like Bluetooth and "magic mapping", etc. No thanks because my time is valuable! Besides, the remote control is fine and dandy for any additional commands. Ooh, we got two EUFY's 11S because after a year or so we could not stand the thought of being without one, would it fail on us. But they just keep soldering on together... night after night.
Conclusion: They fill their 0.6 litre dust-pans quick and well, nuff said. Except, what else can you ask for?
without those filters all the dust is passing right through the motor and contaminating the bearings. You will significantly shorten the life of your robot doing that.
Finally someone showing how it does not go backwards in stationary mode! I thought mine was broken!
TY! IU have two I love them but did not really know, nor had patience to read/learn how to use it properly!!
OMG thank you so much!!!! It was driving me CRAZY
Great review. Thanks
Can you please tell me how to clean it and put the filters back. My head is spinning
Thanks so much for posting this!! So helpful. Can u please tell me how to activate the manual mode to make the vac go in the directions we desire?
Questions: Can it understand that the cleaning is complete? Does it go back to charging station after complete cleaning?
I just did a review on this bot also! I got the white one though haha very nice.
It's a great vacuum cleaner. Our first ever robotic vacuum cleaner. It works well and its much cheaper than the competition
Wish my wife had BoostIQ
Ho do you power off the remote ?
Can you give an update on the 11s? Is it still worth it? Any problems since you bought it? Do you use it every day? I'm considering buying a robotic vacuum cleaner but there's a lot of bad ones out there.
I would recommend the RoboVac 12 over the 11S. It seems to be a bit snappier and works really well. I just finished reviewing it. It's currently on sale for $199 on Amazon. What kind of problems are you worries about?
What does it mean if the light on it starts blinking orange while its plugged into its port?
Thanks, a nice review. I will look forward to your next review. How does the single room work? I called Eufy, they indicated it dosen't have a single room option, so I purchased the model 30 with magnetic strips. I think it cost about $30.00 more. Do the roller ends come off so that hair can easily be removed? Does this have sensers that control direction, or does it need to bump into something for it to change direction? I didn't find this model for $179.00. Do you have a link?
Apparently it was a temporary sale. It's back to the normal price of $229. Sorry... Also, the single room mode works pretty well. It may not seem like it because it bounces around like a pinball, but over the course of 30 minutes, it seems like it pretty much covers everything. The roller comes off very easily so you can clean it, or replace it if you need to. It has directional sensors that kick in when it tries to dock, but otherwise it's all bumper sensors as far as I know.
When your not using it to vacuum do you leave it in the home base?
TechOdyssey doesn’t it drain the battery life if you leave it there? Shouldn’t it turn off when it’s not being used?
@@eizenramones9546 the home base charges it. It goes into changing/standby mode when 9n the charger
TechOdyssey oh okay, so just leave it on the home base even though it has a blue light on top?
Would you still recommend this?
If it's on sale and you want a simple robot vaccum, its still good. There were newer models out now though that I would probably look at.
@@TechOdyssey I grabbed it, I dont need the smart stuff. I'm properly impressed by this robot vacuum. It's so quiet it's downright uncanny and it vacuums everywhere no problem.
Thanks for the tutorial. And, if gadgets could be called they-or even she half the time-it would help even out the problematic predisposition that even robotic doers are male.
*A great vacuum for the price. The suction is awesome. Excellent for pet hair. The beater attachment works great **MyBest.Tools** on the stairs. Not too heavy and easily maneuvered.*
