I turned the auto brightness on accessibility off then on as you said and it appears to have worked. It's my wife's, i phones are too complicated and difficult to use in my opinion. Thanks 👍

mine stopped working, the option disappeared.. true tone too. i haven't changed my screen.
did u find a solution? its happened with mine 13 pro, i m unable to use true tone and autobrightness even though i have genuine apple display(got one repaired by service centre itself 2 years ago)
