If its multiple choice just use numbers..X=100 den Y will be 120 p will be 20% less which is 96..so p/x =96/100= 0.96

I made X 12, so Y is 14.4, and P is 11.52. 12/11.52 is 0.96, so P is 96% of X or 0.96*X
I did it slightly differently, by substitution: y=x+0.2x; If p=y-0.2y, then p=(x+0.2x-0.2(x+0.2x))=x+0.2x-0.2x-0.04x=0.96x.
I looked at the equation and immediately thought it was 100% of x.😅

Also I wrote it as:
Y = 1.2 * X
