here’s a suggestion, you could spend the same 3 days filming 1 or 2 really good videos, youtube is shifting towards longer content with more story telling. so if you were pumping out constantly good 15 - 20 minute long sml movies with more locations and characters, you could easily be more views and fans would be more satisfied with the content

Yes this is pretty much what I want. and if a video needs more time to be finished, we can just not have a second video in exchange for a better and longer video. And you always hear Logan complaining about his knees hurting all the time, well if he were to use more filming locations, that wouldn't be AS big of a problem.

My only real problem with the videos is lack of emotion and personality. Most of the characters' personalities have been lost recently, and they barely show emotion. For example, in final destination, Brooklyn guy basically didn't care at all about the deaths, yet if you look at an older video like the magical button, once JR realizes what he's doing, he's genuinely remorseful and straight up kills himself just to bring everyone back to life. Other than that, i do enjoy the videos

Yo, Logan, I'm eager to say: Your reasoning for not going back to the 2-videos-per-week schedule is bogus. I think you're missing the point. We are not asking for more videos per week, we're saying that if you go back to 2 videos per week, you will have enough time to overhaul the story, fix some writing mistakes, minimize the filler, cut some scenes and many more. We don't want excuses, we want you to be more reasonable.
For the most part, the critics have a point.
Entertainment is not about money, it's about creativity, passion, and humbleness. It's not fair to give us apathy. We want what's best for you as much as you want what's best for us.

But Logan, you have to understand. You're reasoning makes sense but also doesn't at the same time. You SHOULD go back to two videos a week. Here's some examples:
The filler in this year alone has been too much. It's okay to add jokes that are unrelated to the video, but in April alone, we got a 13-minute video of Cody just yapping about a penny of all things and The Power Outage where the Brooklyn Guy is nonstop talking about unrelated topics such as the Lightning McQueen filler. Cut down on the schedule so you can focus more time into editing that out.
Like the filler, unneccessary scenes need to be cut out. No offense to your Pac-Man video or your Final Destination parody, but they were weighed heavily down by the talking. And, yes, that's again, okay, but they were literally just Brooklyn yapping about, again, random stuff that had nothing to do with the video.
Similarly to the last point, I think your writing mistakes can be resolved if we go back to two videos a week. The 19th Birthday video had tons of writing mistakes (Also guys, like the comment if you don't want to see Nancy return and let there be a new villain).
Lastly, please don't take this as a hate comment. I actually am subscribed to you and to Chilly. I respect you guys and your work, and I am planning to send some fan mail to you guys soon. However, I (and many people) would really love for you guys to do the two videos a week thing again.

Take a genuine step back and look at your old videos. For example, the series of videos that built up to Junior messing up and slowly reaching “Braxton’s” breaking point and threatening Junior with Military school and then the reward of: Oh Dang! He’s actually going to Military School then we had Part 1 and Part 2. Part 2 HIT DIFFERENT!!! The emotion, the tension, the trauma, the sound effects, the music and etc. Part 2, going through Junior’s mind and how he’s suffering from PTSD, the weight he bares alone, eating away at him, his core personality gone, then you have the resolution (It wasn’t cringey like the power of friendship BS, the way it was brilliantly executed) that: NO, he’s not alone, his friends are there by his side ready to shoulder the burden and they end of returning him back to normal, with Junior saying: “This is the Real me!” Embracing his true self. And one of the best happy ending’s “Braxton” accepting Junior for who he is and if violence isn’t the answer then kindness and compassion is the solution!
I’m being straight up with you, I grew up alongside you from age 8 to 23 years old (15 years and 6 months). The old storylines were a phenomenal work of art, forget the plushies, I’m talking about the powerful stories, the character development, the passion, the talent that YOU put into those videos! (Like if you agree, cause Logan needs to see this!)
I was just considering this an hour ago, I really wish for a reboot of Junior Goes To Military school, that series was truly fantastic.

Read this and felt the same way as someone who writes stories it's disheartening to see his fans genuinely give him advice and criticism to see better content just for him to ignorantly blow it off by saying something like "oh different people like different things"
SML was never that deep lmfao. Even if I can see where you're coming from, yes the videos DID have a little bit more personality to them, they were never artistic masterpieces nor were they ever particularly intricate character studies. If you saw something like that in SML, you were probably looking too deeply into it. Pathos would definitely help SML videos, but let's be real, Logan isn't someone like Dan Harmon who produces thoughtful character arcs and coherently planned out stories. These have always been pseudo-improvised 10 minute sketches.
Logan the problem is the quality and the humor that goes into the video, the idea is not bad, it’s the story that is.

Like there is no reason to vlog everyday if you don’t have something to vlog about, he makes promises that he can’t keep. don't forget you're a consumer yourself, you make product, and you consume other people's product, to not understand what your fanbase is telling you is baffling. the same way you would be upset at a show for becoming a certain way, is the same feeling your fans would have, I mean obv Simpsons ran for 30 sum seasons, was amazing and now it's just running to run because money is nice to have. Same thing though is that even with 30 seasons it didn't have to become stale. at what point do you run for so long and think maybe this is a great way to end it instead of WE NEED to do this until we die.
When people tell you to do two videos instead of three they dont just mean only upload two, they're saying to upload less but put MORE time into writing a good story for a video, going to more interesting places and not having every video take place on the red couch. Working on character development and actually making the characters feel like characters and not just plot devices. Older videos like the Military School series were easily memerable because of how unique they were and the emotion you felt watching them. Newer videos feel like they have less effort put into them to the point where I couldnt name a recent video if you told me to. The characters feel like they keep getting even more souless, blended together and stereotypical compared to when characters used to feel different from eachother. Theres so many characters in the SML universe but it feels like we only see the same select 7 characters over and over again.
If you took a step back and slowed your sceduel down to only two videos a week or even one you could spend time making videos memorable again. You could spend time making videos end in a way that feels complete instead of each video ending in a way that feels pointless and unfinished. You could actually spend the time of each video wisely instead of letting filler carry the video to 10 minutes.
Simply, quality over quantity is what we'd rather see.
absolutely. Unfortunately he's not going to listen. Logan was on a voice chatting app the other day and ended up yelling at a fan who kept insisting that he go to two videos a week but he constantly replied saying that it would just be the same content.
I cannot stand UA-camrs that blindly push away their viewers when they're trying to give them advice, especially his younger sensitive audience. It is clear to me now that Logan's ego and love for money has taken over

The more videos you upload in a short time, the less memorable they become, they blend together, and people are less likely to rewatch them

I think logans genuinely a workaholic, I'm fully aware going two videos a week will have no effect on the content, there'll be no change other than the fact its one less video but the reason he started doing was just because he had the time to do it, I feel like its just a situation where he should cut back purely for the sake of getting that free time back, that tied with the editor he wanted to pursue would give him more time with his daughter and family or even going on vacations or trips like the cruise without it being about filming, even if he has to ween off it with a third video every other week instead to cure his addiction to getting rid of any free time he could have (i say this in the most lighthearted manor possible btw, the first video i watched was chef peepees birthday where jackie chu gives him his embroidered coat for the first time, I'm a ride or die regardless)

It’s so hard to watch the old vlogs and not feel so bored watching these idgaf if it’s not everyday but at least make a thumbnail. These vlogs used to have millions of views now it seems 100-200K is peak yes that’s still good but these vlogs feel so lazy, we want the school series. Even when there was nothing to vlog years ago y’all some how made it interesting. You guys just sit and talk now with no effort we want good vlogs.
I just think the problem with recent SML videos, is that at the end of most of them there's no real conclusion. I feel like a lot of them end too early and if you guys have so much time, how come a lot of the videos are like that? Because that's what was so amazing about old SML. They had really good satisfying conclusions which left us really satisfied. That's what you guys have to work on, in my opinion. Giving these newer SML videos real conclusions Instead of cutting them short will make them 20x better. And will make me, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people satisfied and happy with the video even if it was stupid. Whenever the video ends without a real conclusion, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and a little disappointed. I still love you guys so much and I've been watching for as long as I can remember and will never stop, but that's just one thing that's bugging me, and would love to see a fix in that.
what everyone means is instead of 2 normal rushed shitty videos, putting MORE EFFORT and hard work into the 2 videos that are uploaded (longer videos with more sophisticated plots and not just trying to reach 10 minutes)

Its the lack of effort honestly, back then there were a ton of characters in the videos and now it’s based off of Marvin, Jeffy, Jr and his friends, and Brooklyn Guy. Mix it up with Goodman videos or even chef peepee videos I liked the Jr and Chef PeePee videos they were gold. And maby change the time to film instead of 4pm. And why film for 3 days straight? Why not like film Monday and edit on Tuesday and upload Wednesday, relax and think of ideas and also let the rest of the crew relax, then back to filming on Thursday and edit on Friday and upload on Saturday. It’s up to you Logan but that’s just something I would do.

And all me and your fans ask is for you to make 2 videos a week instead of 3. We want you to do this because we not only will this do good for your channel, but because we care about your health. You're a husband, an editor, a brand owner, and most importantly, a father. You can't juggle all of these responsibilities while making 3 videos a week because sooner or later you're gonna feel very ill and or burn yourself out to the point of hurting yourself. We know you can do so much better and you have proven that so many times throughout your entire life if you put the time and cut back on over working yourself. Well movies get feedback on what was right/awesome and what could've been improved. Its not that they hate you Logan, it's just that they're giving ways to improve your content/suggestions.

Logan, consider putting quality first. Stronger storylines can make your videos more engaging. Remember The Drone!? It had a great storyline and top-notch quality, making it a hit. THAT’S THE PROBLEM HERE. The videos back then were successful because of their storyline, not the quantity of the videos. Quality over quantity can keep viewers interested. I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS!
Heck, even with two videos instead of three, focusing on quality over quantity is important. Take time to refine your storylines and comedy for better the viewers. Quality content matters more than the number of uploads.

The videos aren't bad themself, it's just the way they are executed. I honestly feel if you took away that 1 extra video per week and used that extra time towards making the story really good and adding more locations to the video that isn't just the red couch then the videos could really improve. Logan, please take some advice from people who want to help you, not call them haters and let the younger fans suck you off. You have shown you can make good modern videos, but they only work when you try. Making two videos a week can give you more time to make good videos with good concepts. Cody's missing penny could have been good but it was executed poorly and it was Cody at his worst. And also, make SML shorts again, it know they won't make you money but they can be used for your ideas that won't work foe a full 10-11 minute video. Like do it once a month. So please make 2 videos a week to give yourself time for ideas. And here's something you can do, at the start of every month, make a list of video ideas with your crew and take down ideas that won't work and save them for SML shorts. That's not the problem. All you focus on is mainly Jeffy and Junior videos. Videos like Braxton, Kindergarten series, building personalitues is the main key without dry humor.
You completely missed the point. We want you to go back to 2 videos a week so the free time that you have can be used to make those two videos much more high quality compared to when you rush yourself to get 3 videos out and the video quality suffers as a result. The videos you put out now, most of the time, are literal slop. They're just a bunch of noise, same red couch constantly, same habit of going off script.
If you put more time into making your videos actually enjoyable instead of churning them out so fast then maybe you wouldn't have quite as many "haters" trying to actually offer you advice on your workflow and video quality. Because the way it looks now, you don't care about your fans, you only care about yourself and the money you make. Why make a good video when you can just slap one together with no future plot evolution or actual good writing and watch the cash roll in? You even start this video off immediately with "everyone hates me", trying to get pity points because your current work is garbage when it used to be so much better because you fueled them with passion and actually took the time to make them enjoyable to watch.
SML needs to change, i'm fairly certain people stick around because they like watching the dumpster fire that is the constant declining quality. I wouldn't be surprised if you uploaded a video of yourself taking a shit every week, cus you don't care about the fans, you don't care about the videos, you care for the money. the problem isnt the amount of videos we get, its the lack of creativity and original thoughts that are put behind those videos, limiting those videos would give the chance to make them more fleshed out and funny
One or two videos a week are perfect. Quality over quantity. And if you have more freetime to do less videos, and the quality doesn't change at all, then you've lost your creative charm.

The point is you put more effort into 2 videos instead of no effort put into 3. Instead of having free time you use that free time on making videos with better takes or different camera angles or locations or effects or fleshing out the script and idea of a video
make a story out the characters you have, you have the materials.. the time..the fans. you can make a series or at least make your characters have some kind of development. a change of background would also be nice. red couch videos or just staying in the house makes every single video feel the exact same

It was revealed to be MPK Reviews. He made that video called “Logan Thirtyacre Does Not Deserve a Platform” and his hatred was insane which should’ve not exist.
Anyways here’s what you need to do Logan because it’s simple and your missing out the point because you forget about all the good things of effort spent on the old videos and these are examples:
New locations instead of sticking on red couch
Bring back old characters like Lil T and Woody
Minimize filler
New jokes
Tone down the overuse of characters like Brooklyn Guy who had the biggest of appearances
All this stuff has been brought on over years like go rewatch the old videos and you see why it was spent for effort to be a huge amount of quality than quantity which will make you realize the mistakes you made through out the 2020s era. If you’re still not changing this whole situation Logan, then fine I won’t be surprised if this is how you’re doing it this year.

Why wouldn’t making the videos take longer to make improve them though?? Like you say when you only did 2, you had all this free time, but like… why not use it then? I get you film Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. But like, why not just… not do that?? Film Monday, edit Tuesday and Wednesday, Flim Thursday and Edit Friday and Saturday. That way you can reshoot stuff, watch it multiple times to catch stuff like spelling mistakes, sounds not playing, not getting a certain scene, thinking if a joke is really worth half the video, etc. cause you say “you’d get the same video ideas” but it’s usually not the ideas that are bad, it’s the Video itself that didn’t do it Justice

Logan I totally understand the confusion here but asa loyal member of the community I think you should go back I honesty don't find my self coming to the new videos anymore because sometimes they lack their charm and also isn't it having to make all those videos is hard giver yourself a break quality over quantity is what I'm suggesting it's fine if you stick to it but just please here me out

talking is important sure but sometimes characters ramble for way too long. like Brooklyn T Guy can yap for like 2-3 minutes straight and nothing will be happening. you should cut down on the videos so you can use the extra time to flesh out the videos and think up more interesting and relevant scenarios in the videos that aren’t just talking. like surely you can add more interesting scenes to the videos that fully flesh out ideas and isnt just talking on a red couch.
Any writer will tell you this: "If there's a scene or dialog that does not progress the plot, develop character, or at the very least catch people off-guard, trash it."
My point being, the series has devolved into filler after filler. Characters rambling and wasting runtime. It's a shame because Logan could make any scene funny and still move the plot along, but his 3 videos a week schedule his harming that severely.
