Probably the best trees I've ever seen. They should win an award! With some natural daylight and better depth-of-field you could believe all of it was real!
Amazing how big a difference realistic overhead wires makes, and yet it's the first layout I see where they give the right feeling as far as realism is concerned.
The quality of the scenery is astounding, and the catenary system is easily the most realistic-looking I've seen on any layout or diorama up to this point. A superb display, and one I'd like to see/hear more about!
Excellent overall, but in particular this is easily the most realistic and most complete modeling of concrete and trackside equipment and infrastructure I've ever seen. The builder must be a civil engineer or something similar, plus having an amazing eye for detail.
In deed one of the most realistic model railway layouts I've ever seen. I love the details. I like the fact the signalling seems to be correctly implemented although I'm not an expert in French signalling.
Nice seeing some of the trains using the pantographs. Not sure why all of them weren't. I think this is the first video I've seen of a model railroad where pantographs were used and contacting the catenary line.
This layout is marvelous! 👋The realism wow I'm overwhelmed with joy as a model railroader! I was even happier with both TGV trains in Blue & original orange scheme! 😃 my favorite scene was two front orange TGV cab controls slanted ends were coupled on to each fronts! 😨 Unfortunately I never bought or owned the TGV Blue.🚆.Great job! 👌
Why nearly, I think it is pretty much realistic, is it possible to make this more realistic? It is absolutely stunning, one of the best I've seen, if not the best... Every detail is absolutely spot on, marvelous...
As has been said elsewhere in the comments section, pantos up please, although to be fair, some locos were running with them raised.Great video and layout😎👍❤!
"...presents the railway along the Aosta Valley and the Jura Mountains..." This is not entierly accurate, this layout represents a part on the international line Paris-Dijon-Lausanne to Milan, through the French Jura Mountain and Mont D'or Tunnel and Simplon Tunnel to the Italy. The Aosta Valley is in another place near The Mont Blanc mountain...
I saw this layout in Eurospoor and i hear the sounds from de bells from de kids train sow i think this was also in Eurospoor. Sorry for the bad English.
Did anyone notice the speed wobble at 1:10. Great model and video. My top 10 favorite model railroads. Buitifull. Can we get a wide few of the layout please?
I think a better title for this video would be "Ultra realistic model train layout from France". The use of the word "Nearly" implies having tried but failed and that is very far from being the case. The detail in this layout is absolutely superb. Probably just a case of the intended meaning being lost in translation.
Nice work on those really hard to do cantenarys and wires above the tracks. Do you have a video showing how those cantenarys and overhead wires are modeled with such precision? A link by any chance?
Amazing scenery and attention to detail but I think it is the only layout I have ever seen on which the most unrealistic thing is the speed of the train is too slow! (well TGV at least). Not really being serious with this "criticism". This layout is fantastic.
Wow, beautiful and very impressive layout! very realistic, indeed. In the abckground you can hear Dutch people slagging off the model railway layout ;-) What catenary wires do you use? And why aren't all pantographs in up position?
The only criticism I have of this series of videos is that they are all shot very tight on one detail or another. You never see wider shots or get any sense of the layout as a whole.
Are some of them actually powered by the overhead wires or just for looks? Also looks so real only thing missing if it was in the US is graffiti on all the walls & most of the cars

Loved that double headed TGV-PSE
The quality of the scenery is astounding, and the catenary system is easily the most realistic-looking I've seen on any layout or diorama up to this point.
A superb display, and one I'd like to see/hear more about!
Would you know if model kits exist to build catenary sets, or is this all bespoke modeling.
The scenery on the this layout is sensational! Truly very well indeed
Even some of the rail joint sounds sounds quite realistic! Ah, what a lovely dream it would be to have a model railroad in H0 scale.
Excellent overall, but in particular this is easily the most realistic and most complete modeling of concrete and trackside equipment and infrastructure I've ever seen. The builder must be a civil engineer or something similar, plus having an amazing eye for detail.
Niezapomniane!
In deed one of the most realistic model railway layouts I've ever seen. I love the details.
I like the fact the signalling seems to be correctly implemented although I'm not an expert in French signalling.
Merci.
Landschaftsarbeit und Oberleitung sind unglaublich!
I'm not even a modeler, and even I can see how much time and effort went into the detail work. Beautiful workmanship!
* polite clap *
Vegetation is incredibly well reproduced. What an amazing piece of job!
Nice seeing some of the trains using the pantographs. Not sure why all of them weren't. I think this is the first video I've seen of a model railroad where pantographs were used and contacting the catenary line.
I love the clickety-clack sound the trains make when running, just like real trains!
Great landscaping. Trees, shrubs, and grass look amazing.
Nearly realistic, understatement of the year. Knew that region well and it is spot on. Exspecially when you realize it is in HO scale.
Such wonderful attention to detail. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
I live near the Jura in Geneva and sometimes I go past the Jura and see very similar train tracks and tunnels when I’m passing by
Magnificent in every way. The TGV's took a wrong turn somewhere.
Nothing compares to this workmanship. Except a real life railroad. I don't even think the real thing compares to be honest.
The detail just blows you away.
Those are the most realistic trees I have EVER seen on a layout!
Just amazing! The attention to details in and around the tracks is second to none... Great job, guys!

The foliage is outstanding!

THIS IS INCREDIBLE! IT LOOKS SO REALISTIC!
Superbe réseau... quel soucis du detail 👍👏
Truly inspirational. Bravo to all the artist involved
Wow that's a very nice layout
C’est une œuvre d’art. Les arbres sont époustouflants. La caténaire également
Woodland is particularly good , the rest is excellent also ! Wales uk.
Scale feeling is excellent.
Very nice video.
Wonderful rail movie !!! Excellent
With all the good looking overhead wire, you’d think more of the trains would have the catenary extended.
👍👍👍
Superb! More!
PILENTUM Thank you!

Brilliant! I especially like the signals.
Why is it nearly realistic? I would say that for a model, it's very realistic!
MotoCrazy6
The only thing missing is the graffiti
Baguette.
I would enjoy every minute of it💕
Great job on the trees looking good. Wide shot would have been nice
As has been said elsewhere in the comments section, pantos up please, although to be fair, some locos were running with them raised.Great video and layout😎👍❤!
Amazing detail! Truly impressive!
Very nice video
Fantastic !!!
This is very Covid relaxing.
C'est beau, j'aime le TGV
très jolie réseau !
Wonderful.
One of these days I expect to see a model of a catenary system with the pantograph on the locomotive UP, making the scene just that more realistic.
Very interested seenaraes

Awesome
super dans les details bravos!

Why no wide shots of the whole layout? Seeing nothing but closeups was frustrating!

Yeah, it was about the same 4 scenes over and over and over...but thats typically Pilentum

I agree, beautiful layout, up close.
Those trees are faultless!
mark carey Oh yeah!
awesome ! great job ! fantastic !
I feel silly for tearing up while watching these.
it's great quality
Very nice! I wonder why they don't raise the pantograph closer to the overhead wires?
This is sooooooooo cool !!
I saw this layout in Eurospoor and i hear the sounds from de bells from de kids train sow i think this was also in Eurospoor. Sorry for the bad English.
ICEmaster huehrhyshghuiiiiiiiiiuuuu8iiii
amazing!
how did they do the trees, they look really great!
Did anyone notice the speed wobble at 1:10. Great model and video. My top 10 favorite model railroads. Buitifull. Can we get a wide few of the layout please?
Check out this website:

i agree it looks great but need wide shots to really appeiciate it
sympa le tgv pos très belle video!
Merci et salutations!

I'm french and there are trains that I have never seen.

Well I doubt they can go top speed on a small layout and also there’s the risk of damaging it
If you can find a japanese layout i recommend doing a video on that
Yes, I guess, the Japanese are the biggest railroad enthusiasts...
great
Very nice
Where is his layout located
I'm from Sri Lanka
Wow, beautiful and very impressive layout! very realistic, indeed. In the abckground you can hear Dutch people slagging off the model railway layout ;-) What catenary wires do you use? And why aren't all pantographs in up position?
The only criticism I have of this series of videos is that they are all shot very tight on one detail or another. You never see wider shots or get any sense of the layout as a whole.
Wow!
Btw, whats the music intro on your videos?
Its a great tune! 👍👍
Yes, but they're sounding good.
Follow that start, and there might be a hit along the road. 👍
PILENTUM I love the TGV trains
Lease make the model trains go top speed!
I LOOOOOVE IT
Tyqu
It is super Cool how long did it tale to finish it?
c'est coooooooooooooooooooooooool davoi sa😃😆
Great layout, just a shame all the people talking in the background.
This is always a problem at large exhibitions.
gutes video
Cool cool
who makes your tracks?--excellent railroad!
The track is made by Peco in the UK (code 75 streamline).
Where can I buy the nice blue modern passenger trains?
Model Train beginners...
Here's how to get started quickly and easily with your dream model railroad.

im not shure about hornby

o and Lima
Wich one do you mean, the long tgv or the regional one?
An extremely well made train layout. Too bad some of the electric trains were running with the pantographs down..... The trees are very realistic.
+PILENTUM No doubt. Still very impressive.
+PILENTUM
and i bet may actually rip the model overhead line equipment down in some cases
+Xantec That's true, you can clearly see the wear of some of the wires, by the extended pantographs going up and down...
Are some of them actually powered by the overhead wires or just for looks? Also looks so real only thing missing if it was in the US is graffiti on all the walls & most of the cars
The overhead wires are not powered.
@@pilentum Thank you for the reply they still look so realistic
Where in the world can you find HO scale RER and TER? Are they custom built, self-built or available from a manufacturer?
