First time fighting Berserkers: “Oh God what is this? Why do they block all my attacks, how come everything guard crushes, how do I fight them?” Hundredth time fighting Berserkers: “Finally, an enemy with enough health the style on.”
To me, berserkers are only tough to impossible because, every natural or fun play style doesn't work. Methodical rigid pattern of, "dodge their attacks, get 1 or 2 strikes, dodge until their next opening, 1 or 2 strikes, dodge, rinse and repeat is what it takes to beat them. Crab fiends aren't so tough. But, it has been a while, though. So, if I've forgotten my tactics, I might have a hard time.
@@Psychof1st Well their not so tough on normal and hard difficulties. But on very hard and master ninja difficulties where the berserkers only appear they are very tough when they are in groups of 3.
They're arguably worse in Sigma. In Black, they fight one at a time, and only when on screen. In Sigma, they'll set the ground beneath you ablaze not giving a damn, and it could seriously fuck off.
Berserkers are boring and tedious to fight! It's not possible to pull off combos or do the cool & fun moves and attacks. You just have to dodge till their opening shows up, get 1 or 2 hits and start rolling again, rinse and repeat. They're a difficult to impossible enemy when I try to do the fun way to play. But, then I figured out the way to beat them. And it was frustrating because, of the tedium. And stressful because, I had to hold back what I wanted to do, to stick to the boring pattern that worked. But, I love Ninja Gaiden Black more than any action game that has ever existed to this point. I just don't care to replay the harder difficulties, anymore. I've beaten up to Very Hard. But, those saves are locked to an older console. *sigh I never got the DOA costume anywhere, though. So, that was my personal disappointment. I didn't have the patience or motivation for the missions. Beat a few. But, it ramps up quickly. So, I gave up. Just at the cost of my fun.

Well I’m the first type, desperately trying to find a way to easily beat at least the first one on normal 😅
These guys and crab fiends with the lasers are the toughest enemies in this game.

i enjoy Ninjas and other humanoid enemies a lot more but yes! great enemies

not to mention, sigma 1 berserkers can be repeatedly countered and be turned into absolute joke haha
They are memorable and very powerful enemies, I hope one day to play NGB!
