What a beautiful rifle, Gavin. I like how well you build your rifles. They always have that WoW factor with each one you build . Thank you for everything you bring to the hunting shooting. Reloading community. My Dad and I really enjoy the SAUM cartridges. We have a few we had built the 6-SAUM or 6-UM , 257-SAUM, 6.5-SAUM , 270-SAUM, 7-SAUM, 300-SAUM, and 338-SAUM . My Dad and I started wildcating these cartridges in 2004. Sherman wildcats has a whole line up of the SAUM & WSM cartridges from their SST , SS , MAX & MEGA line. They also have a nice magnum line based on the 300-PRC from 25-cal up to 338-cal . B&M rifles & cartridges have good lineups of heavy calibers from 9.3 , 375 , 416 , 458 , 475 , and 50-cal all great cartridges. I am not a short barrel guy unless it's an AR or scout rifle , carbine, or Lever action exc. I prefer to have my barrels a minimum of 25 to 30 inches long in short , long, and magnum actions. We prefer having maximum powder burn to get the most efficiency & performance out of our cartridges. I have a question: Would you be interested in building an 8mm/325-RUM & 350-RUM ? We are going to build both of them . We want either 28-29.5 inch barrels and around 11-14lbs with 4-6 port muzzle breaks. Would you be interested in building them ? Looking forward to hearing back from you. Until then, God bless you and your family.God bless America 🇺🇸 🇺🇲 🇨🇱.
Love my 7 SAUM. I’ve found the best velocity and accuracy with 168 LRX and 168 Berger VLD’s over H4831sc. I’m getting 2950 fps out of a 26” Proof with 1:8.44 twist.
About to put together a 300 PRC on a Bergara Premier using a McGowen 28” medium/heavy barrel. Should have all the comments by the end of the week. Trying to build a good ELR rifle. Here’s hoping it all goes smoothly.
Great to see the build and I’d love to see when you work up loads. I have twin to this being built with a 20’’ Proof barrel on a Kelbly’s Nanook action, running a Huber Concepts 2 stage trigger dropped in a Manners Pro Hunter stock.
Very nice looking rifle Gavin. Love the 7 saum. I liked everything about the video except your 3 rnd groups that you justified as the purpose of the rifle being for hunting. Hunting rifles still have a pattern of dispersion and it’s important to know what that dispersion is. I’d like to see a video showing multiple rifles shooting aggregated 21 shot groups (7 3-shot groups at the same POA or overlaid).
You're going to need a new printer depending on what you want out of the filament. If you want it to basically be reusable the filaments are either not going to be cheap to buy to make work on a prusa (PVDF), or you will want an enclosure and higher nozzle temps (PPS, PPA,PET not PETG), heated enclosure is even better. If you don't mind it getting soft, just not melting you have more options that will work on the prusa. You will also want to make the build plate side actually solid to increase the surface area for adhesion when working with higher temp filaments or you're asking for failed prints for this purpose.
Personally id never build a rifle again without a base built in action. There is no reason in today’s manufacturing to do so without. Great video per usual though🇺🇸
Love everything about that action except it’s hard to find scope base’s for. R700 footprint but larger screws. Had to send my nightforce back and shop around to find something else. I wish they mentioned that obviously on the website
I have a 700 VS SV 26" fluted barrel in 22.250 . The synthetic stock has seen better days and needs an upgrade, I would love to go away from the trap door floorplate and go with a magazine and a bottom rail, and adjustable stock. It seems to me that MTD rings all the bells, would this be your recommendation as well?
There's several actions for that money that are arguably better, if for no other reason than that they come with a rail or have a rail machined in as one piece with the action
Integrated rail, Integrated recoil lug, shorter bolt throw, vast amounts of shouldered prefit options, trigger hanger.....features alone objectively beat the premier for the same price
@ if that’s the route we’re taking Howa beats the Solus and is ⅓ the price. I have 4 Howa 1500s and 2 Solus and I’d go for the Howa every time. Integrated rail means nothing if you know how to mount them properly. Howa has the recoil lug. Not as many other options but the ones available are some of the best.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
@@Erik7prcstop spending your money on hype. My $660.00 cascade shoots better than my $2200 Christensen. Same scope, same ammo. Cva does 1/2 inch groups. Barely under 1 inch for the other. And yes I’d did load testing and depth seating. Cheaper gun wins.🤷♂️
@dvskane1808 one, i have a Bergara Wilderness in a MPA chassis, that's a cheap gun. Two, I was joking. Also thinking of buying another tikka, another cheap gun
$900 for a factory action…..I can think of 3 or 4 custom actions at that price point and they come with a picatinny rail. Common sense says to pass on this one every time.
I built as 6.5 Gibbs on a whim my 20 years ago back before the fast twist rates became popular. It shot 120 and 140's crazy good. I finally got tired of forming brass as it's a bit of time and cut most of the chamber off and rechambered it into the original 6.5, the 6.5x55 and it's still in vault.
@reloadNshoot I have a rifle chambered in 6.5x55 aswell it shoots tiny groups. I seriously considering haveing a barrel spun up in 6.5-06. It seems like a pain getting brass together but seems like it would be cool and different. I dont maybe it the ADHD tricking me into it lol.
It’s a nice option for a gun build, but way overpriced. You’re better off buying a premier and just changing the stock, the barrel if needed, but Bergara are known for their barrels, why change unless your ego wants a carbon fiber barrel. Still seems cheaper to buy a full rifle and change stock rather than buying an expensive ass action or barreled action that costs near the same as a full rifle🤷♂️!
Zermatt origin action has been out for years at this price bergara is late to the game is they wanted to work the market they should of dropped this action price to 599$ to actually make it appealing

7 SAUM is getting popular again and for good reasons. The Bergara action has my respect! Cool build my friend.
Well done, 7 saum LIVES baby!

Very promising build.
Good one Gavin!👍🏽
Excellent video! Can you do a video about on trigger timing for the trigger tech diamonds?
Wish there were a good amount factory chambered saums, love my custom saum
Cool build. I want that stock
Premier actions are really slick. I wonder if they accept shouldered pre-fits.

Mr.gavin you are doing a great job sir.if I had the funds I'd love to come watch ⌚️ you build a rifle.
Thank you!

Love the build gorgeous stock.
Thank you!
Second hand tikka donor waaaay cheaper
Way better too
Is Bergara going to sell individual bolt heads? 223 and ppc ?
Sweet build! Love the 7 SAUM.
If you ever want to sell it, I'm interested!!😊
Nice Rifle Gavin
Thank you!
Cracking looking build that 🔥
Thank you!
That is beautiful and very uniquely assume 😊

Do MDT make bases for the larger screw pattern, R700?
Hotta try 4831sc in that thing
I was really hoping you would show the trigger pin install. Mine went crazy hard.
That's nice.
NICE!
When is the video with impact shooting

I’d take a bighorn action that is crf over any push feed.
I love 7 SAUM! Mine loves the 153 HHT from hammer bullets and the 160 Accubond. 18” proof barrel about 2850. More 7 Saum please!
I'm impressed with all the content. What did the rifle weigh with scope and brake?
I'm hoping to get that info here soon, apologies, meant to include that with the initial story!
100.00 shy of a 1000.00 makes it affordable. Not for most people!
If you ever have a chance buy a premier rifle...Do it. Best rifle I've ever owned.
There's several actions for that money that are arguably better, if for no other reason than that they come with a rail or have a rail machined in as one piece with the action
Another awesome rifle build 👍😀. What does the rifle weigh?
Thank you! I forgot to add weight, I'm going to try and get that info next time I'm up at the mountain shop! :)
Like it!
For the same price, why not go with a better action like coup de grace, orgion or even the solus?
There is nothing about the Solus that beats the Bergara Premier line. B14 line sure it competes but not the same ballpark as Premier.
@MontanaWillie44 yea, the solus wasn't a good example. The Mac Brothers evo would be a better option
Integrated rail, Integrated recoil lug, shorter bolt throw, vast amounts of shouldered prefit options, trigger hanger.....features alone objectively beat the premier for the same price
Because he's paid by bergara to shill their products. Read the vid description he discloses who he's shilling for

Weatherby does the same thing.
Beautiful build!

What suppressor cover is that?
Tab Gear
@craiglovelace1753 thanks!
How much was all the parts including the scope?
we really need to redefine "budget"!
Get your money UP!😐

Para mi gusto el cañon es demasiado corto me gustaria mas el rendimiento con un cañon de 24-26" con esa dimension el cartucho rendiria muy bien.

Can I have it since you are done with it? 😂
What brake is that?
Oregon Mountain Rifle Co.
are they doing left handed actions ???????????????????
Yea I've been asking for a long time for a left hand premier. Only B14s for now
Spend a couple hundred more and get a much superior action from Zermatt. Big companies could give a shit about lefties.
They just put Amazon carbon tape pattern on all their barrels 😂
Survey says that’s a lie.
Gavin has 🍞, he literally has everything 😐........😄
Yeah, Good luck. Defiance, Impact, Stiller, and others have *better* actions for practically the same exact price.
Which Impact action, and what's the MSRP?
. MDT stock 1299.00 and barreled action 1599.00. No thx. Can get a weatherby 307 action already with cerakote for 749.99.

$900 for just the action? Seems obscenely overpriced. Bought my complete Benelli Lupo for $899
The solus is the same price and has a integrated rail.
This is not the same as a Benelli Lupo. 🙄
Good for you
Wayy overpriced

so many 7mm options to build as most dont need a 30 calibre. SAUM, PRC, MAG OR 280AI. Not a cheap build other options to do there.
I’ve been watching this channel for 2 years and still don’t know what this guys last name is? 😂. Gavin G???
That’s easy…it’s toobe 😂
Great option, but waaay overpriced!
Awesome build. But why are you guys using target bullets for a hunting rifle ? And you aren’t going to convince my that a Berger is.
Bergara is too expensive for what it is. Remington 700 actions with less quality
