The use of the term "Palaistinê" by Herodotus is more about the Greek perception of the region than about its self-identification or political reality. Ancient Greeks often named people and places based on their encounters and interpretations, which might not align with local understandings.

Israel is the Promised Land of the Jewish tribes of Israel. Promised and backed by God. Anyone who tries to attack Israel will feel God's wrath as God has shown time and time again throughout history. The Egyptians and the 10 plagues. The Philistines drowning in the parted sea. Even after WWII holocaust God let the Jewish people back to their ancestral promised homeland and like a miracle the Jewish State of Israel was reborn. No power on earth can destroy Israel or the Jews who have God on their side. God keeps his promises and he made a promise in a Covenant with Moses over Israel.
Perhaps you are unable to see cities of very substantial construction, roads, electrical grid, etc., that was there before the so-called "Jews" "returned". For example, the Jews did not build the King David Hotel: David Ben Gurion's terrorists destroyed it and killed a number of goyim in the process.
It was God who destroyed national Israel, Jerusalem, and the temple in A.D. 70 to end the Jewish persecution of the New Israel, the Christian Church, created to evangelize the world with the good news that Jesus has redeemed God's elect from the eternal wrath of God the Father. The tribulation of the siege of Jerusalem was the most horrible the world has ever seen, partial vengeance for crucifying Jesus, Son of God, Messiah. The Jews utterly failed in their appointed mission to reach out to all the world with the gospel of salvation, choosing instead to make merchandise of the law they had been given.
