What a beast of a boat! I don't tend toward seasickness but seeing that drone pilot in the cabin focusing on a little screen 3:45 as the boat rolls through breakers... he must have an iron stomach.
Start DOING something on board. Ask for some task. Maybe learn steering such a ship, when you are in control, you really feel better at sea. When you expect vomit, you are asking for it. Do you understand?
Fantastic Boats and great seamanship handling the swells. You should be supplying our Lifeboat service with their boats. Back in my youth ,over forty years ago I was a member of a voluntary life guard group which covered two of the longer beaches in Dublin along side the Corporation life guards. We had a 14 ft dory with a 25 horsepower engine. It used to be great fun trying to get through the surf on a windy day, I must add anybody using the boat was given training. The use of the throttle to get over the wave was hammered into us. There was only one capsize that remember; during a regatta we were covering ,but it wasn't the only one that day. Keep up the good work. Wish you every success.
That is one great sea boat. It takes the Segway really well for a 40 ft boat. I do note that she is really powered to her limit for safe operation , but that margin makes her perform well. Great design ,& kudos to her builders and designers. Tks guys.
As an old and highly experienced airline pilot that has flown through the most terrible weather systems, I can honestly say that you would never catch me aboard such vessel as I would certainly pass out after only a few minutes of such punishment. My hat to those rescuers !
@@teeanahera8949 He is actually Irish ☘️ or at least his business is in Ireland I don’t know if that makes a difference but you got my meaning and I got yours.
Can you imagine navigating such waters in a wooden sailing ship? Cheers to the Captain of this vessel! Magnificent, not anything I would care to experience lol but magnificent all the same.
What an amazing hull shape. No sign of stuffing either into the waves or down the surf. And the way she rode the beam on seas was unreal. Capable isn’t the word for that vessel, outstanding more like.
Hell of a nice boat, she handles herself well in that breaking seaway. Looks like a blast, wish I could have been theyah and taken the helm for a while. I owned a 22’ Sisu bass boat, she was a great sea boat as well.
I was a sailor on a WW 2 Gearing class destroyer during Viet Nam. She rode the seas pretty much like this video quite often. If you doubt, ask another Tin Can sailor.
Earnie Pyle, the WW2 journalist, said Tin Can Sailors should get Submariner and Aviation Hazardous duty pay. They spend half their time airborne and half their time under water.
it holds its course impeccably, hats off to the hull. i take the internal vibrations/noise in those conditions warrants the headphones for suppression as much as comms
The power of the engine in this tiny vessel is amazing. It cuts the waves up like it was butter. I bet it's such great fun to just take it out like this on a trial and not have to be out rescuing people.
Awesome looking boat, awesome drone footage and awesome to see the inside of the boat and the battering it takes ! Love you’re videos and you’re boat building skills too ! Best wishes for the future of Safehaven Marine. I assume that’s filmed with a Mavic 2 drone BTW ?
Quad copter pilot is the hero here. He's getting pummeled in the boat while trying to fly and film the bobbing boat that he's on. He must have an incredible sense of balance
Never mind the boat....that must be a seriously good drone to film in gale force winds! Loved the 'beam on' footage...riding along the tops of huge waves...that looks like amazing fun.
That drone pilot must have been as sick as a dog. Looking outside is doable, but at the same time looking at a screen out of another moving vehicle in the air... what a legend! Looks like a great ship by the way.
Nice test conditions :) as a drone operator myself, all I thought of through the whole video was the alert saying "Caution, high winds... land safely immediately" LOL
Couldn’t agree more. People want the sharpest pictures possible, but then are happy to drown out the sound with clichéd bombastic trailer-music. I will never understand.
good that there are boats (& people) who can handle work as rough as this. ultimate hangover cure, as you would get so sick you would leave this astral plane...lol
What a beast of a boat!

It's not the boat..it's the captain..he is a beast..
@@akimateru7980 он не только зверь, он ещё и конструктор этой лодки
I would be a shattered vomiting mess if I was aboard this incredible boat. Hats off to those who pilot her.
time for a wee dram after a ride like that, that sea is probably nothing for those guys. well done.
How about the guy looking at his phone at 3:45? Makes me feel nauseous just thinking about it.
Yep. A thrilling ride if you weren't terrified out of your mind. I, unfortunately would be terrified out of my mind!
Me too, I'd be the ideal man to have aboard on a fishing trip though, I'd put a nice continuous chum line over the side..

That's a tough little boat, the music suits it perfectly! That ship is better than a lot of yachts. Great photography!
Amazing boat and skipper, drone operator zoned in ... super video and boat
The drone pilot deserves an academy award for his drone flying and l looking down at the screen. Good production. Amazing boat.
Frank you are absolutely amazing mate, probably the best boats on the planet
Incredible how she rides the waves up-, down- and cross-wind, talk about bluff bows!
This is so refreshing to watch. Navy guy here.
What a beautiful craft. If I didn’t know better I could swear she’s enjoying every moment of that . Woohoo!!! “Look what I can do!”

One helluva boat and captain!
I love these videos. I would love to be there. So exciting! The power of the ocean is amazing.
obscenely well flown and shot.
I love it. Beautiful videography of a beautiful vessel.
You guys are becoming great maritime cinematographers
Excellent drone work
Good test conditions and well controlled by the expert skipper on the wheel,
Now THAT is what I call fun!
Wow, a great boat in beautiful water! Would love to be out in those conditions. Thank you for sharing the video.
I love your videos, I love your boats. As a boater, it's Mesmerizing to watch.

When you look up “bad ass” in the dictionary you will see a picture of this boat! Great video and great job building such a beast of a boat!
That guy was English, that would be bad arse, thank you.

MAGNIFICENT! small boat but deadly can fright big waves! thanks for sharing guys!
What impressed me was how dry the deck remained, despite attempts to bury the bow into the troughs! That is what I call a good design!
They finally built a usable boat. The last 2 were awesome but coast guard wants boats like this. Awesome build
보트가 멋지네요 👍
Very nice video
Great job!! Fun to watch
Great footage again. I'm in awe! Thanks for sharing Frank and team!
Fabulous drone work. And Ederra is a fantastic boat.
What an amazing hull shape.
No sign of stuffing either into the waves or down the surf. And the way she rode the beam on seas was unreal.

Stunning footage you have some serious skills and are a very lucky man to have such an incredible job like that well done 👍
Hell of a nice boat, she handles herself well in that breaking seaway. Looks like a blast, wish I could have been theyah and taken the helm for a while. I owned a 22’ Sisu bass boat, she was a great sea boat as well.
OMG!....Amazing vessel...as for the crew...balls of steel, and know their s**t...so much respect 😎
Just the way I love it. She handles the big water beautifully.
She looks amazing in a following sea. As always excellent footage by the drone and the editor for bringing it all together 👏.
I was a sailor on a WW 2 Gearing class destroyer during Viet Nam. She rode the seas pretty much like this video quite often. If you doubt, ask another Tin Can sailor.
Yep my Dad was in a tin can Destroyer in Nam as well says the same thing. HMAS Hobart. A Charles F Adams class Destroyer.
Earnie Pyle, the WW2 journalist, said Tin Can Sailors should get Submariner and Aviation Hazardous duty pay. They spend half their time airborne and half their time under water.
Some of those swells looked a good 15 feet! Nice boat!

Wonderful! I love the sea like this! Thank you.
What a rush!!
I'm taking my 3m open deck dingy, 15hp out tomorrow, I just gotta try those waves.. :)
Reminds me of a modern day PT boat. It must be quite a thrill to maneuver through those waves like that.
The power of the engine in this tiny vessel is amazing. It cuts the waves up like it was butter. I bet it's such great fun to just take it out like this on a trial and not have to be out rescuing people.
Awesome yet dangerous ride! Thanks for sharing. Be well
One thing this hull never does...
Nose dive. Impressive in all aspects of hull threw water design.
What a great pilot boat. It really cuts right through heavy water. Would love to see this boat at Haulover inlet on a bad day.
Always impressive to watch !
That's my kinda boating I like 👍🏻 Would be nice having something similar as a private boat.
That is incredible, and they even took time to catch something for tea.
Stunning.
I am impressed regards from Australia 🇦🇺.
Amazing piece of engineering
If I am paid one million euros daily I shall not do that job.

Stunning as always!
I‘d love to see Frank at Haulover inlet.
I actually give full props to the drone guy, who is in the boat, looking at that tiny screen and not getting motion sickness.

Incredible cinematic! This Ship seems to be damn fast.
Parabéns Comandante, esse segura o tranco em qualquer ambiente marítimo!
Looks like about 8'-12' seas. That looks like fun! Where do I sign up for a ride?!

Impresionante, precioso video. Muy buena estabilidad y potencia del barco, pasa olas muy fácil.
Surfing the big waves…impressive. 👍👍👍🇦🇺
Awesome Pilot boat, I would love to see more vids of her in rough weather boarding or disembarking pilots though.
Great boat great skill surfing it and amazing footage WELL DONE
As a drone operator myself I approve of your work 👌🏼
How does one keep a drone steady in that kind of wind?
@@davidlambert3892 "You" don't! The drone's on-board technology does! Asimov's I, Robot is here in reality today. 🤔😉

Great sea-keeping. How much ballast is she carrying?
She is a dream. You are having too much fun out there.
Beautiful images. 🚀🙏
Awesome 👏!!!

looks like yer all having a good day. bless you
I would love to have a ship to take "surfing "!! F-in INCREDIBLE MACHINE!
Keep safe out there 🙏 ✌🕊
Nice. Now, if only we could have the sound of the engines and the ocean.
Couldn’t agree more. People want the sharpest pictures possible, but then are happy to drown out the sound with clichéd bombastic trailer-music. I will never understand.
Any chance of a camera inside to see what it’s like for ye guys in this weather?
woow nice footage, how did you land the drone? on a rocking boat like that?!?
good that there are boats (& people) who can handle work as rough as this. ultimate hangover cure, as you would get so sick you would leave this astral plane...lol
Wow ,super boat well done.
Good thing Cork floats!
Is that a self-righting boat? Looks like it. Sort of handles like the USCG 47’ mlb I used to be on.
The music is overpowering, like the sound of the sea better. Does she have screws or jet propulsion? Very neat boat. Happy Trails
I agree. I always prefer no added music.
Phenomenal!
