- In some parasitic infections, the host's autophagy machinery is activated to degrade invading pathogens. Autophagy can help in presenting antigens to immune cells, thus contributing to the host’s defense.
- However, in the case of filariasis, the parasite's ability to modulate or evade the host’s immune response, including autophagy, might determine infection severity.
Further research is needed to fully understand how autophagy influences the course of filariasis and whether autophagy-modulating drugs can be used to treat or manage the infection.

Yes agar irreversible damage nhi hua hai toh. In advanced stage swelling doesn’t subside.

Mam maine medical karya hai kuwait ka to usme filariya igg positive aya hai mai dwa kha rha diethylcarbamazine kitne din me negetive hoga

If only IgG positive and if you are asymptomatic then it is not clinical filariasis. For acute confirm diagnosis IgM must be positive... if you have started the course of DEC then complete for 21 day
