    This was definitely California Chrome's race to win. The last half was like Chrome coasted to a smooth race and win.

    132 pounds and Chrome made it look easy. Victor rode him perfectly and never used the stick as he literally cruised in. This was a good warm up for The World Cup. Chrome is in perfect health and weight this time so I think with Victor on him he can't lose. 🏇🏿🏇🏿

    I have to admit I wasn't too excited for Chrome to go into his 5 year old season. He is defiantly proving me wrong.

      He's one of those horses that just do better in there 5-7 or 9 years. Chrome will most likely be the older horse Eclipse Award winner. Plus he seems to love Meydan.

    I think it's good for the horse to go out to Dubai so early to get use to the track And have a good prep race witch he had to give 15 pounds to other horse. last year went wrong for him out there the track was only layed couple of months and was heavy had had lot of racing on it now chrome is the Horse to beat his work outs have been good and he like a bull out on the track hope he wins this year

    Proof that Chrome would have won the 2014 Belmont Stakes if Matterhorn didn't step on Chrome's right front hoof, taking a chunk off. Which Obviously caused pain & took Chrome out of the 2014 Triple Crown Winner's contention. They should have let him run without interfering & I for one am confident Chrome would have won that Race🏁

    So happy for Chrome! He should've won the Triple. He is a much better horse than the rest. Can anyone tell me if this is definitely a computer simulation, because the video looks exactly like it? Or is it just too late at night for me to be watching a video?

    Against this competition i would like to have seen chrome and victor sit an inside trip not forcing to the outside like that, i knw the horses past he does nt like the inside bt still against this group he could have and should have been able win regardless of trip

    • @RedBev59

      +Mac cooper Chrome never stays on the rail. HE likes about 3 wide. ALWAYS goes out three wide. Staying on the rail MIGHT be quicker to some jockeys BUT it's the easiest place to eventually get boxed in AND it's a dangerous place to be. He went FOUR wide in last years DWC and took second. HE ran the fastest time being four wide to stay there. he did fine but that could be why he only pinned Second. He also came out of Gate 13 in last years DWC. WAY out there.

    Chrome found him the weakest Dubai field ever. Well, maybe 2nd weakest to 2015 when he couldn't even win. He's the best horse ever never to beat a good horse.

    • @RedBev59
      @RedBev59 8 років тому +1

      +Gale Wings THAT is the point of a proper Prep Race. It should be just a work out for Chrome. Not an all out "BCC type race. Went well and was an easy win....and Chrome got to stretch his legs and come out of the gate proper. Great race. This year they're doing it right. That's why Chrome is so happy.

    • @rebecca11391
      @rebecca11391 8 років тому

      +RedBev59 prep race should not be that slow. Plenty of horses that win races in hand still have respectable times. 2:04? Give me a break.

    Chrome, still an average horse. He can win today anything and that means the same, after all, most of the good horses for real competition are already retired or dead

      +F.G Aguilera Well that's not really fair to the current field...

    • @Pilgrim-1
      @Pilgrim-1 8 років тому

      +F.G Aguilera I feel the same way. I cannot understand why they keep running him. It's not like he is a gelding. I hope he doesn't break down before he gets to stud. Maybe they already let him breed to a mare and he shot blanks, pardon my crudeness.
