I am not so sure? What George did, factoring in he knows about James psychopathic past, is to tell James not to try to mess with him, and to stay away from JP. Since George is strong, fit, trained and experienced in physical confrontations he uses that, rather than brains or the law where James might be stronger, to scare James off. Remember, with what George knows about James` psychopathic past, for George this is something he does to scare James off from trying anything. In his mind, by doing this now, he might save both himself and JP a lot of grief later on, provided he has succeeded in scaring James from trying anything. This might not be who George is, but a role he plays because he knows James is a dangerous psychopath he needs to protect himself from (George is a police officer, not unaccustomed to that type of personalities, and the possible threats they can represent), and therefore uses the tactic he thinks is most likely to succeed with a chicken like James - threat of brute force, and abusing his position with the police. But even if he threatens James he would do something like that, that doesn`t actually mean he would. He just needs James to believe he would, to be let in peace by the sleazy lawyer. Until I have seen clearer evidence George is a bad one, I prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt.
George didn't even do anything bad, James was running his mouth and then started to almost cry like a girl when George confronted him about it, James has done more evil things than him, e.g. getting the wrong man sent down
@@freddykrueger4441 We don´t know so much yet about George´s past but he seems to have secrets and issues that he can´t share with JP which seems strange and creepy. Not wanting to hug JP in public as the boyfriend he suppose to be. If this guy Dean that he met was a dangerous stalker he should tell JP about him but he doesn´t and the way he treated him felt pretty despicable. Lying to JP about the break-in at James´ flat is to me something despicable just aswell. JP got angry because George didn´t tell him about the way Jordan´s arrest was handled etc. He doesn´t seem to be that good and decent guy that JP needs and wants at the moment.
@@ann-christinenilsson4046 Everything that's been shown so far makes him look dodgy, so what, that doesn't mean he's as evil as James, James mostly only cares about himself and he got an innocent man banged up, that's worse than anything George has done yet
Okay I'm convinced George is somehow related to Laurie. The smug attitude, the threatening people who cross him and the manipulative mind, its just uncanny. Definitely the making of an egotistical villain.

Too soon to conclude that. Remember he has both been told by JP of James` many psychopathic stunts in the past, and also is a police officer, well aware of how dangerous and manipulative psychopaths can be. Maybe this was a deliberate role he played to get James to back off, and save both himself and JP worries and trouble in the future? James being the coward and professional he is, both threats of brute force and problems from George abusing his police power is probably the best way to get James to back off. So maybe George realized this was who he had to pretend to be to scare off James from trying anything? Until we have seen clearer proof he is bad, I am willing to give George the benefit of the doubt.
And that is what we call an abusive relationship

Well considering that the alternative to George is James, they have to make George look really bad in order to make James look like the better man for John Paul.
He might just be pretending to be like that. Remember George know James`s psychopathic past from what JP has told him, and being a police officer also knows how manipulative and dangerous psychopaths can be. So he might have felt this was who he had to pretend to be to save himself and JP grief in the future, had he not succeeded in scaring James off from trying anything? I am not ready to conclude George to be bad yet. Until more definite proof he is bad, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Had he tried reason, or to out-manipulate James, James likely would have run circles around him. But threat of physical harm and abusing his police powers to create troubles for James is probably the most effective way of stopping a chicken like James from trying anything. So for now I am saying well done George - you neutralized a poisonous snake.

I think he IS a real villain. If he was a good and decent guy he would have told JP that he needed to do something about James so he would stay away but instead he lies about what he has done. To have a good relationship you need to share important things. He hasn´t told JP anything about this guy that he met and that said he had been to rehab. He didn´t say anything about Jordan´s arrest etc. That behavior to let people think that James is a lier is manipulating and sick and belongs to an evil person.

Plot twist, PC Kiss is the product of another one Mac's affairs making him James's half brother :P. I haven't read any spoilers saying that but knowing HO writers they're prolly leading up something like that XD!
At the moment it doesn´t look good the way George is behaving. Lying about the break-in is the more serious despicable behavior I think and the way he treated this guy Dean felt despicable aswell, if that guy isn´t a dangerous stalker, but if he was, George should have told JP about it. I don´t like what I see anyway.

@@ChelseyLinden No, they use a tool, an iron rod with two grips on to smash in the door. Kicking in a locked door is more likely to break the leg, not the door. A locked door is almost as solid as a brick wall - it doesn`t give an inch. But two quick thumps with the iron rod usually bursts them open.

Excellent question. My guess is the writer doesn`t have a clue, just needed to get Jordan out and George in trouble. But for George to be suspended it had to have been quite serious - far more than a rookie mistake. So why Jordan was released and George suspended, seems to be the biggest mystery of all, so far. Rookie mistake would have been something as silly, but with serious consequences, as writing down a different name because of a misspelling, getting the wrong date or time, wrong registration number of the car and similar. Another rookie mistake is to forget to inform the suspect of their rights when arresting them. Other than that is the question of whether or not PC Kiss had probable cause when discovering the drugs inside the bag, inside the car. But without knowing exactly what Sid said when he phoned the police, there is no way for us to know. Cause if Sid described the bag Jordan was carrying, and also informed the drugs were inside it, George had probable cause when he opened the bag. And since the car was the car Jordan was about to enter at time George stopped him, since Jordan was not carrying the bag it was not unreasonable to suspect it was inside the car - and therefore George had probable cause for both opening the car booth, and for opening the bag. But if Sid didn`t say the drugs were in the bag, George had no reason to search the car, it could be claimed (although, I am not sure that argument would have been successful in front of a judge, since the car was the car Jordan was driving, and therefore could contain more drugs than what the tip off referred to). And even if we didn`t see George read Jordan his rights in the scene, he could have done so in the car, or after they arrived at the station. As long as Jordan didn`t say anything relevant to the case before he had been read his rights, it wouldn`t have been a problem. So what exactly it was that got Jordan off the hook and George into so much trouble, I would be very interested to know.
