Panera is a good place to go to get ripped off & leave hungry
I agree, but their bread is good though.

Don’t forget leave pissed off
Panera is literally a microwave and a boiling bag, gross!
I ate Panera bread last year for the first time in 20 years. I still remembered what the quality of food was, then I ordered and ate what was basically an overpriced and cheap fast-food meal.
It just proves how much has changed.
It was still just over priced soup and bread back then as well.
I used to do that to go to Panera by artisan breads so called artisan breads. Bread is so easy to make it home even if you don’t have a mixer if you use quick rise yeast you can even have it sooner plus you can refrigerate and even freeze your dough if you freeze your dough shaved in the size you want and I throw in a little extra yeast. Literally I have fresh bread all the time and it takes very little effort same with pizza dough
The Turkey sandwich, bag of chips, drink = $18.00 at Panera same thing at Quick Trip was $9.12 & QT sandwich was better

A job at McDonalds is a stepping stone to better jobs. It teaches you to show up on time and how to accomplish tasks set forth by your boss. It wasn't meant as a means to support a family and to make an actual living! If everyone is making good money doing menial labor, then there is no incentive to better yourself! $20/hr even working fulltime is barely US $38,400 a year... And they are complaing about min wage... The cost of living is very high in CA, average apt in LA and SF is US $3500.00 a month if you want to live in a decent part of town... Who cares about a work ethic if your not even making enough money to pay your bills and rent.
You are the prime example of a low to no skill employee. Can't even do math or figure out because of this 20 dollar per hour minimum wage the cost of living just went up more. 20 dollars and hour is 41,600 dollars per year. What California and all other states should require is if you can't make a go of it on what you are earning you need to go out and get a second job and even a third job if need be. This would solve a couple of problems. The shortage of workers that we keep getting told about and maybe people would learn to appreciate what they have. I know I worked 3 jobs when I was first starting out at 17. One full time job and two part time jobs.
I love this guy’s ethic

Ok….then why in Denmark does McDonalds pay this type of wage and the burger costs maybe five cents more?
When companies pay a wage that people can live off, it means they won’t use welfare and social programs. Meaning they don’t need as much money, so it lowers the deficit, and the you can pass along the savings in the form of tax cuts.

Raising minimum wage is an exercise in futility: People get laid off, line item prices increase while products decrease in size/quality, employer/employee taxes get larger ... in short, everything percentage-wise (wage vs item prices) makes things worse. The everyday person and small business gets hit the worse. The only winner in the whole thing is the Government (via increased tax revenues).
The problem is people don't really think that way individually they are influenced by the masses, and they will never learn that if you raise the price of a salary, then everything they were going to buy with that increase also increases exponentially, so they made no headway at all. *It really is too bad common sense can't be taught.*

Hate it when people make enough to live on! What next, corporate accountability!?
Ethics used to be taught in colleges and universities, my parents had an old text book on it...
the liberal colleges and universities have no ethics at all. They all push sexual degeneracy, communism and anti-God lies.
If you've paid any attention to our government since 2001'ish you would know ethics and morals are long gone.
Newson is friends with the owner of Panerai bread. Go figure.
Pandemic bread is also probably a big time donor to gavin pelosi’s recall campaign
Who’s going to work for Panera when others are paying $20 an hour
Mike Rowe for President. Wouldnt be able to fix anything, but at least he is a leader I believe in.
It's about time we're pushing something like this instead of something stupid like college
Maybe a kwik-e-mart in your future?
lol
Sounds like someone who couldn't get accepted . . .
I wouldn’t pay 20. For the whole state of California
No, but the guy in Robocop said it best, "I'd buy that for a dollar". The dollar isn't worth 10 cents any longer, so that's a deal.
What if you could remove the democrats?
Was a big fan of dirty jobs. It showed the ppl breaking their butts so we have what we have. Mike taking his experiences to another level and helping young adults understand what it takes is just awesome. Hat is off my man.
Voting democrat has unintended really bad consequences so vote differently or just leave the state...
CA is a beautiful state. I always hope in my lifetime, it can be saved, but I doubt it. I left 25 years ago and never looked back. it was hell back then.
WRONG!! If you won't vote differently STAYTHEFUCKTHERE!@!
Take a look at red states. They love their $7.25 an hour.
Yes, and the hordes of people being priced out of California can all vote Democrat in their new states repeating the cycle. Muhahahaha
No, no, keep them all. We want them contained in one place.
These laws are why it now cost $15 for microwaved soup and some stale bread from Panera.
Won't their employees simply quit, moving on to their $20+ hour competitors?
Leave California!! California is going downhill and fast.
They have already hit the bottom, the question is how long will it be before they get rid of the slime in the state and climb back out of the ooze? Votes count when the election is honest.
A hotdog or burger in liberal-land known as California is going to cost $30+ before you know it. I loved being stationed in CA, but I'm so glad I never retired in CA. Shalom
I was stationed there twice. California has managed to lose both of those bases due to closure. Fort Ord, Monterey and Presidio of San Francisco.
@@richardclifton4120I was stationed at the Mare Island naval base back in the early 80's. That closed long ago. It was north of San Francisco and I loved being stationed there. Shalom
How do fast food restaurants in the EU manage to pay fair wages without ridiculously-priced hamburgers and hot dogs?
@@erichollywood2002 Prices in the EU are higher for burgers, hot dogs and everything else. It has been higher in Europe since I have been going back and forth from the 1980s on. Shalom
@@politicsuncensored5617 I don't consider 19 cents a considerable difference when providing a living wage . . .
Corruption at its finest.
The USA needs a Universal Basic Income of $1,000 per month for every citizen.
Boycott panera bread in California
The types of people that work in the fast food industry. In all honesty, are irresponsible, unethical and don't deserve higher wages.
I’m retired & due to inflation I went back to work -20 hours a week -in a grocery store. Sadly most employees are 18-30 & they call out, are on their phones and have a poor work ethic.
How about seniors who's trying to make extra money because social security doesn't pay high enough? Having an opinion is one thing, however grouping everyone who works fast food as irresponsible, unethical and dont deserve higher wages is uncalled for.
@Marid1580. I congratulate you. Just ignore the hate. Some people just have hate in their heart and just follow the crowd
@@marid1580 A young POC employee at Ralphs lied to my friend, claiming that the service deli was closed at 5:45 PM on a Friday. He had his earbuds in and apparently it was too much trouble for him to call for a deli employee. He didn’t care about the deli losing sales from all the customers who would shop on their way home from work. When my friend got to the cashier, he asked about this, and was told the deli was absolutely NOT closed. This was reported to the manager, who used such poor judgment that she spoke to the employee immediately. The employee charged up to the front of the store, shouted at my friend, and threatened to physically harm him outside the store.
@@joshuaevans3499 i agree with you but retired are not the majority.
Mike Rowe is awesome
