Furthermore, there is an interview on Vladtv with an actor/comedian (i think Godfrey) and he talks about how straight actors should turn down gay roles because they are befitting for people who are already gay. I think the point was that it doesn’t happen that way for other actors especially straight actors when it comes to gay roles. The problem with what he is saying is that you need to be exactly like the character you're going to be playing already which isn't acting its emoting. If he was able to act he could get any role and change his demeanour, accent, mannerisms and posture to fit the character that he is going to be playing. But he wants to take all the black gay roles because he is a black gay man? Heath Ledger was great in Brokeback mountain playing a gay cowboy while being a straight actor and Luke Evans was great playing the straight Gaston character in the remake of beauty and the beast while being an openly gay actor. It's got nothing to do with what you are as a person but how authentic you can portray a character which is literally called 'acting'.
