If you watch the show McCartney 1 2 3 or 321. Lol, I am dyslexic. 😁
Even now you can see how Paul McCartney still has all of the music inside of him as he walks and talks.

I am SO glad you're sticking with Parlophone instead of the Capitol releases! In my opinion, they should be listened to as originally recorded in the UK. This album was recorded in a marathon session from 10 am to approximately 10:30 pm, with breaks in between, of course. The Beatles already had a couple of singles out and based on that initial, enthusiastic reception, they recorded this album. When producer George Martin asked them what else they had that they could record quickly, they suggested their live set that they used to play at the Cavern Club and I Saw Her Standing There was one of those songs. Of the 14 songs on the album, 8 were written by Lennon/McCartney. The Beatles are widely credited as being the first "one-stop shop" meaning they wrote their own lyrics and music, sang, and played their own instruments - no ghost-writing lyricists, back-up singers or session musicians necessary. Keith Richards referred to them as "the Four-Headed Monster" because they could do it all. There is SO MUCH info out there about the Beatles but a good resource is Scott Freiman who does a series called "Deconstructing the Beatles" where he gives a detailed description of the making and recording of their songs/albums.

Keith Richards is the name I have not heard in a long time. I've never been fond of Capital, personally thanks for putting all of this down. Personally I always worry that I speak too much because I speak into my microphone after a car accident I was in. And the words just seem to keep tumbling out of my mouth. 💜

What makes the recording of this song and others on this album more impressive is that because of the short recording time they were allotted, what you’re hearing is essentially a recording of a performance… not a lot of mixing or editing. If they goofed halfway through the song, everyone would have to start over. I think they were able to only do a handful of takes for each song and they’d pick the best one for the album. Supposedly Twist and Shout needed just one take!
Glad you’re still doing these as well as the BTS songs… great variety!

@@billraufmann8918 now they're actually having courses of music and discussing BTS in them. They don't understand how corporations in Korea start with the money and then with the music. America appears to be backwards but actually they are not because they go out and scout talent with the money they have and put them on the stage with the money they have. It is almost exact same thing. But I am told that the course is really enjoyable. At the time it started people were saying we don't know who BTS is. But they do now. And they learned that the Orient values performance with the music. kind of like Opera..... So they see K-pop in a new light. Not that BTS is K-pop by any means. They wrap real good and they have a good Barber shop quartet out of four of them. But it is the dancing that everyone loves. For me it is their words and the music that just in my head. Beatles music has always drifted into my head. I constantly am singing let It be so that my daughter knows the song. And she was younger of course it was the yellow submarine LOL. Proves that when you're at a certain point you can make any song and they will support you. BTS did a song called super tuna to appeal to children and to be silly. Beatles were political when they needed to be and so people trusted them. And they cranked out songs that people desperately needed and wanted to feel and they didn't even know it. Do not fear what you don't know. You should follow these guys on their journey through BTS also. They are pretty good. You don't want to be accused of living under a rock. (I am assuming that you are not BTS army) I will support the Beatles for the past music and I support BTS for the current music. They have been together almost 10 years and have won awards and over 100 countries. And America doesn't even want to play them on the radio unless they are forced to by Army. Just like Elvis Presley. Do you know with your wisdom if the Beatles were so shocking to the public that they did not play them on the radio? Or how long it took for them to break into America. It took BTS over 5 years I believe. They are worshiped in Japan and have written two or three albums totally in Japanese. Still wonderful songs but I never thought I would fall in love with. (With captions of course) and yes I am in love with Beatles. I have a friend in Germany that has part of his signature on her arm that she has made a tattoo out of. She is trying to make it to another concert to have Paul McCartney finish it. 💜

When Paul McCartney sang this on their first appearance in the United States on their 1st time on the Ed Sullivan Show the night of Feb 9th, 1964, I felt like he was singing it to ME as I would TURN 17 years old ("she was JUST 17") exactly ONE month later, on March 9th. (as did thousands of other girls my age at the time, that were watching)!! SO, I have considered it "my song" ever since....here I am nearly 75 years old in March, and I keep wondering WHERE DID THE TIME GO???? I STILL feel like that "just 17" year old girl every time I hear "I Saw Her Standing There" and I NEVER stopped loving the Beatles, and never will. They are the soundtrack of my life. I am so glad I was born when I was, so I could be a teenager when the Beatles first came to the U.S. WHAT a time that was! I feel sorry for people that didn't get to experience that time first hand....it was magical and fun!

I am not from the Beatles generation but I know all of their songs and sing the regularly. I went through a Great depression after a car accident and having pain with the decider of my life. Meaning I could no longer do my job or even do the dishes without pain. and I had to accept that my last dance was over. That is how I found the song Black swan. (A true story of a ballerina who killed herself on stage in Germany) I am now a total BTS army. They were the first to put a smile on my face after many years. The company's goal is artists for music and healing. And their first band was BTS. You cannot compare music of Beatles to BTS Just Like You cannot compare Elvis Presley to The Beatles. But BTS have won awards in over 115 countries and still going strong 10 years later. I've only known them for three or four years. I'm thankful that I am alive during the time of BTS. And I'm thankful that I was able to have the Beatles as my background music. But grandma was Elvis Presley fan. And great grandma like Eddy Arnold. Not to mention The Andrews sisters 💜

I was probably about eight years old when this came out and Beatlemania started. I remember my father disapproving when he saw them on Ed Sullivan with that long crazy hair! And what he considered screaming instead of singing! Little did he know what was yet to come…. I remember when he saw the Stones were on Ed Sullivan He definitely didn’t care for that! It’s funny all the flack that the Beatles got in the early days where they were actually pretty clean cut, wore suits when they performed and sang mainly love songs……I remember when hard days night came out I went and saw the movie with my teenage sister and her friends, And whenever they showed a close-up of a Beatle, (usually Paul or John) the girls in the audience would scream, didn’t understand what that was all about! 😂

Since you’re fans of both groups, I think you’ll enjoy this short clip from one of BTS’ appearances on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert which happens to be taped in the Ed Sullivan Theater where The Beatles famously made their US television debut. The link is to a cute comedy bit with Stephen, not the performance of Boy With Luv they did that same night. (This isn’t for reaction purposes. I KNOW you're too young to remember that time. Unfortunately, I'm not. Fortunately, I had the Beatles, so it's worth it. People compare BTS to the Beatles and the similarity I see is their extraordinary fandoms, not only in numbers, but in age range. My grandmother came to our house the night they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, raving about this band she loved and how we were about to see something special! That, we did and at 65, I have yet to grow tired of their music.

And I know at least 98% of their songs by heart. I think the music you grew up with is embedded in your brain’s hard drive. BTS brought me into the present. But you do you.
