This show had me until they decided to go CGI ninja, after I saw the suit's design, I have all of a sudden lost interest. I honestly thought Higan's upgrade would've been something less gimmicky than this. Just my humble opinion.
It's not "turning" into it, since the beginning we already saw some glimpses of the mecha, the ninjas suit is an example, they look like robots in that suit.

Imagination fitting Higen could pull it off, but would it make sense leave him to the old arts only. Based on what Emma said a true ninja can still use ninja arts in those suits. Its not tanks warfare disguised as ninjas in name only.
