Thank you so much for this video! I’m going to EWR for the first time on Saturday. I really appreciate the actual approach from the NJTP into the actual terminal. It helps a heap! Especially when I’m not sure if I’m supposed to be in the left lane to exit, or the right lane. Airports can be such a clusterf**k, and I hate to piss off other drivers who know the airport and that part of the turnpike well.
The City of Newark reached build-out in the 1940’s, meaning that this city of nearly a half million people with an industrial output almost unrivaled by most cities needed more land to expand. They pushed their runways south into Elizabeth.
Look Around Terminal A is partially in Elizabeth. That information also states its also owned by both cities. False. Newark leases the 1/3rd from Elizabeth on a 99 year lease. The airport was built entirely by Newark taxpayers in the 1920’s. Expansion after WW2 pushed the airport southward into Elizabeth land. 2 more examples of “build-out” are airports at San Francisco and Chicago. Those airports are not even within the cities borders. Thanks for the comment. Safe flying.
Newark Liberty International Airport, Trenton-Mercer Airport, and Atlantic City International Airport are New Jersey's connection to the world (Also Philadelphia International Airport and Lehigh Valley International Airport in Pennsylvania, and John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport in New York).
@@donovanmorgan640 i have ive been to almost every town since my dad is a construction worker. i go to work with him and he works all over nj. trust me nj isnt that pretty 😭
i go to ewr pretty often, like once every 6 months but today is the first time im driving by myself there, kinda scared since me and my dad are ALWAYS confused about the signs lol
Thank you for this video, unfortunately I'm more confused now than I thought I'd be! 😂 Just a lot of signs! I noticed early in the video around 2:30 the sign said either parking or terminals. Would I go to parking since I need to park for my 8 day trip? Or go to terminals and then departing flights?

This is awesome, brings back a LOT of very, very happy memories from when I was a wee tot. New Jersey is an underrated, beautiful state. Thanks!
That single lane to the airport hasn’t changed in 50 years

According to Google map, one third of EWR, including terminal A, is located at Elizabeth. Thanks for sharing this great information.

Good to know these. Hope we all have a safe flying by the end of the year.
How do you know this?
@machia0705
Actually, the Elizabeth portion (unlike the Newark portion which is leased to the PANYNJ) is owned and operated by the PANYNJ.
Newark Liberty International Airport, Trenton-Mercer Airport, and Atlantic City International Airport are New Jersey's connection to the world (Also Philadelphia International Airport and Lehigh Valley International Airport in Pennsylvania, and John F. Very helpful for first time flyer ! thankyou
I see the bus stop are in front of the terminals now. They use to be on the side between the terminals.

Long term parking is not covered in the video. You may need to do more research.
@@LookAroundChannel thank you!
I enjoyed your video.I have a video touring the inside of newark airport, you can check it out some time.
I will check it out, thanks.
Where do you rent and pick up a rented car ? In Phoenix, the car rental terminal is miles away from the airport.
Airtrain to car rentals from terminals is free. Online reservations may get a better deal.
www.newarkairport.com/to-from-airport/air-train
All I want is to leave the airport and head south I always get lost !
Thanks a lot
Ah yes, when Terminal A was the OG 😭
I take this road to go home
Thanks you for show us the airport terminal. PS you should make one for parking ??
This sounds like i195
