Not necessarily... its alot easier to say when you're thinking how you might act, but when it's being done to you & your feelings or emotions come in, it's not the way they thought they'd feel about it. The Tom's need to learn by having the shit done to them. Because in theory they can go on saying they wouldn't care but until it happens to them they really don't know how it feels!

I think the reason why Lala has had everything so spot on with Rachel is because she was so traumatised by her fiancé that she’s hyper vigilant to everything. She can spot it because she’s seen it before

You ladies bring up a good point about Rachel’s seeming arrested development. I don’t know much about her past, but maybe she experienced some type of trauma in middle school. Often, a person who experiences trauma like that will be “arrested“ in their development at the age when the trauma happened. Could explain some of her very childish behavior.

@@BH19780 you obviously don’t watch the show or didn’t pay ANY attention to her storyline. Like Lala said, and I’m glad to hear her admit it, because it’s been soooo obvious for a LONG time that the girl is struggling and has a lot of issues, she is broken and needs some legit help, that her family should have identified early on given her traumatic start to life & how confusing her upbringing must have been for her. Her own mother didn’t want her, so her sister (Aunt) ended up raising her, but her mother was still around, just didn’t want anything to do with her. Imagine how that must feel to a person. To know that your actual mother is so close but never wanted anything to do with you? I think that’s why she looked for validation and acceptance through things like the pageants, and why she was SO upset that she no longer qualified to enter them after this year; people were making fun of her for crying and getting upset about that, but I can see how that probably was a big deal to someone in her situation. She definitely has abandonment issues, and cannot be alone. She’s going to need professional help and guidance to help her figure that out & learn how to be on her own & not be co-dependent. Someone like her, sadly, is a deeply vulnerable person who was just ripe for a narcissistic sociopath like Sandoval to take advantage of.
Now, she did a LOT of things wrong here, for sure, and she’s NOT without blame, but Tom was definitely the one in control of this whole situation. Control being the key factor.

what Rachel did was so horrific that there's no excuse in the world for it. However that doesn't make Lala right in the way she's treated her all season. .I know LaLa's going through a lot right now but she's coming off as mean-spirited and nasty and quite frankly as a bully that's preying on somebody that's clearly not as skilled at arguing as she is. Her treatment of Rachel this season had nothing to do with defending Ariana because she didn't know about it at the time. Her standing on a soapbox of morality considering her life choices and at least twice we know of she's hooked up with a guy that either had a wife or a girlfriend is so hypocritical. I have always been a huge Lala fan. Bought some of her make up, some of her merch . But after this season I'm honestly so sick of seeing and hearing her that I don't know if I'll ever be a fan again.

You are left feeling crazy and it’s incredibly frustrating. I believe, this is what Lala was experiencing during that time. Unconsciously, she was poking and prodding (verbally) to get a reaction to assess their behavior and determine what is happening. I think we could all learn something from her because what she did was trust her instincts and protect herself and her friends. It’s not our job to be nice to people, it’s our job to protect ourselves… and if we all felt safe and protected, I bet a lot more people would be “nice”.
In life, if you ever find yourself just not liking a person, but you can’t really place why…. trust your instincts and move on, because your body chemistry is reacting and you should listen! Be nice where you can but PLEASE be the nicest to yourself!

Loved this episode!! Though it’s def not less bad to “just cheat on your man” vs sleeping with your friends man. Both ways, it’s deep betrayal.
I’m an introvert with very few friends in general. I share more with my live-in long term partner in general both physically and emotionally than with any of my girlfriends. I would never cheat but just can’t fathom how betraying my man would be less evil than that of one of my friends of whom I don’t spend even a fraction of my time with.
Sofia clearly invested more time and trust into her friendships, so that’s fair and I can understand why she feels that way. But to say it’s less evil to do that to someone whom your share your body with vs someone you party and have girlie talk brunches with, makes my stomach turn.
It’s like imagine a guy saying the same about how he would never sleep with his friends gfs but will regularly cheat on his own gfs? Yeah it’s against bro code but there’s a clear underlying hatred and distrust for women to cheat on them constantly that they should probably look into.

I agree it’s not less bad, but female friendships are more than partying and brunches. My platonic friendships are more emotionally intimate than any relationship I’ve had with a sexual partner. Trust me when I say, it was a bigger betrayal from my best friend when her and my boyfriend slept together. And I loved him. Being an introvert isn’t an excuse for having a shallow opinion of friendship. I urge you to seek out just one fulfilling friendship outside your romantic relationship.

@@mermaidcatching Would I be correct to assume you knew your best friend longer than your boyfriend? That also matters tremendously. Ariana knew Tom way longer than her and Raquel. Both hurt I’m sure but not as bad as the other in that case. I don’t believe my outlook on female friendships is shallow, it’s just I’ve only had shallow females as friends which is problematic of itself. My last relationship was with a 5 year sober alcoholic so that goes to say none of my girlfriends were interested in any non drinking activities unfortunately. I would honestly love to find deeper friendships with women outside of my own family. Luckily my sisters and cousins are amazing and a huge part of my life.

@@ValleyRose21 no I met them around the same time. I actually met them both through the same mutual friend. That may say more about that mutual friend lol I don’t think the length of a relationship determines the quality though. My best friend and I had a soul connection from the moment we met. We were able to move past the betrayal after a lot of difficult conversations.
As for people who are seemingly more interested in drinking buddies than genuine friendship, I’d say alcohol can easily become a social crutch if it’s not just a youthful phase. I’d recommend having an honest conversation about it with anybody you want to have a better connection with. I had a tough chat recently with my friend of 10+ years because we both individually felt we didn’t spend enough quality time together. She in particular felt that I only ever wanted to drink but I felt I could only ever get her to come hangout for big events. It was very enlightening and now we’re planning a sober vacation!

Sophia is a pick me girl … she tries to always agree just to seem cool lmfao 🤣 the fact that she got called out for cheating after pretending she’s a good person says it all
