I really like it.. I actually think there is a tiny tint of blue in the gray.. I’m not a huge fan of the black anti glare on the hood I didn’t want all the contrast .. so it was either black or gray for us.. my husband thought the gray won’t show the dirt as bad
Keep making the Wilderness edition, because in about 5 years I'll buying a loaded Outback Wilderness edition. Yeah, I know...that's a long time to plan, but the reason is, it's going to be my 'retirement' car. :-) It looks great in magnetite gray.
Voice commands and steering wheel controls, which all Subarus have, can really help keep your eyes on the road. Also the buttons for climate control make it easy to make quick adjustments.
I live in Florida, an earlier commenter noted the lack of hills but we do have beaches we can drive on. Some of those beaches are restricted to 4WD vehicles only due to soft sand. I’ve been reluctant to go on the soft sand beaches but would like to know how X drive would handle that situation? Getting stuck results in an expensive tow.
🥇 Thx! Subbed. New to Subie (22 OBL). Live in Winter Wonderland (Michigan) so this really helps. Never knew driving stats pix were anything but a flat graphic.
Three buttons on the lower left side of the steering wheel that can be pulled back towards you with your fingertips can control what the center screen display shows. Watch our “Outback walkthrough” video to see what they do.
@@HBSSTC be sure you’re looking at the three buttons on the lower left behind the wheel. Pull the top button (up arrow) towards you with your fingertips. If those are the buttons you’re using and it still isn’t changing the display, have it checked out by a retailer.
@75 STI On a touch screen, while bouncing about? Well first, you have to get to the particular function on said touch screen. The previous models had a physical button. A much better design.
@@berserkerusmc7613 Haha yes, I did. I've used X-Mode on the screen and on the other models with a button. If it were a feature being constantly used I could see it being a slight issue, but then you could just as easily leave that top screen on that setting if that was the case.
Too many menus and touch screens. Bring back knobs and buttons.
I have an Outback, and I don’t disagree with you.
The symmetrical awd is insanely effective, but x mode is black magic voodoo
Just picked up our ‘24 outback wilderness in that exact same colour…
Going to be getting one in the next few months and was thinking between the grey and the blue, how do you like yours in grey?

You've explained more than most channels. Thank you sir.

I hate that touch screen. It’s why I’m looking at a forester over an outback. Screens take your eyes off the road.

Nicely done. 2024 OBW here. Not much off roading yet. But love it for my camping and road trips.
Steep hill pfft!! You're kidding me right!!! This is ridiculous!

Is the cvt robust enough to take off road? On The premium not the wilderness

I have a impreza and a crosstreck
So turning on Xmode is what activates hill descent control?
Yes.
16 degrees is not steep.
Всё ОК! А теперь по-новой и на русском языке!
With out x mode I can do
I only have one x-mode on my OB Limited but I guess I can do that stuff. No hills in Florida though.
How do you get that compass in the center of the gauge cluster? My 2023 OBW doesn't seem to have that screen when i cycle through all the options.
Good video presentation. Thanks
How do change the center screen on the speedo? Yours has the compass

@@BaxterSubaru mine doesn’t change I’ve pressed those

Rači čum na cestu a ne na displej
16deg is not steep , my front wheel drive golf will get up it
that's nice... but no way it will do it as well in gravel surfaces with dips/holes, especially when one wheel is completely off the ground 🙄
How do you turn off hill descent control when you turn on x mode
Hill Decent control is part of X-Mode. You can intervene with brakes and throttle but when you let off it’ll go back to using that system.
Good video!
Thank you for explaining how to use Xmode. I have a 2019 Forester Sport I will test it out on the next snow storm.
Pain I the butt to activate x mode..... then turn of eyesight. Eyesight is so horrible.
Drive under 12 mph and press a button. What’s so hard about that?

Perhaps mention that you can’t hit the brake pedal while the Hill Descent feature? Good video though.
actually any 4wheels SUV can do that.
This is not real x mode country 15 degree incline is hardly a test
