Listening to Robbens guitar playing compared to my own is like comparing 2D to 3D. Just amazing nuance and ridiculous dynamic range & expression. Not to mention the unique phrasing that seems to be never ending for Robben. Every time you hear him play, he will play something different that surprises you. His playing is totally unpredictable. This level of mastery is very rare. He is up there with Miles Davis & Coltrane and other giants. One of the greatest of all time.
Absolutely excellent! The directness, cleanliness and strength of the sound is unique! I've been a fan since 1997 with the Blue Line! A true master and legend on the guitar and songwriter!❤️
This was really fun to listen to because the track in the back ground is so quiet so you can really hear the nuance in his playing. Playing like this is, so, so, so difficult. Decades of experience and effort add up to that kind of artistic expression. Never gets old and always leaves me inspired. Love it Robben 🎉
Magnifique. J'aime bien comment il laisse respirer ses solos en incluant des nombreux petits silences, un modèle du genre. C'est un aspect dont tout le monde devrait s'inspirer en évitant ainsi de tomber dans une avalanche de notes qui cassent la musicalité......
Nice one, Robben! Thanks for sharing. You've been in my top five favourite guitarists ever since I first heard you back in 1983. I saw you and the blue line in Seattle back in the day. Such a great show!--really made an impression on me. Thank you so much for all the very excellent music that you've given to us in this life. Keep on keepin' on! Cheers!
Love your TELE. I have enjoyed a couple concerts with it so musical. Great tone. balanced bright and clear!!!! Robben, do you use 9's? what are the PU's?
Depends on the song, lots in standard tuning, but songs like bound for glory are a half step down - he goes for the tuning that meets his singing register and probably other musical reasons I can’t assume since, he’s a song writing genius. But I can confirm many songs are in standard tuning and some half step down
Robben, It’s always a pleasure to watch and listen to you on guitar. I first saw you on George Harrison’s Dark Horse Tour @ Madison Square Garden. Followed your playing ever since. LOVED ❤The Blue Line! As a Berklee Alum (‘77) I can honestly say YOU ARE UNIQUE ❤🎉
I've played licks I learned from you as I'm trying to analyze and incorporate a better style, and others have thought I was great. Believe me I am not. Thanks
The most lyrical, distinctive blues player around. Never disappoints. I think Robben’s playing and songwriting over the past 10-15 years are his best yet. And that sound, thick and harmonically rich like a cello. Love it. Now if he could just persuade PRS to do another run of his signature guitar…

The sound is great, the telecaster is in the best ✋️ hands.
It's still my favourite out of them all, even the PRS
Nothing's better IMHO
@@jonnohanks the PRS got nothing on the tele, no soul.

No more to say ... perfect

Very nice Robben, thanks for sharing with us.
Back to old faithful eh Robben.... though your PRS does sound quiet super too.....
Sweet !!! Sounds Awesome!!!

Nice alright. You got that right. So good Robben 💜
At 0:55 a rare instance of hearing Robben put vibrato on a note while that note is bent up from a lower pitch! His feel and vibe is always phenomenal!
Yes

Lovely. What are you playing through, Robben?
🫶
sounds like the Blues to me MATE....
Does anyone know if Robben plays in standard tuning or even flat(half step down)? Just curious.

@@JMunchen-wf2yj thank you for the information.
Is that a Little Walter?
Man, just silk playing.
I see the black PRS lying there….
Can't imagine why anybody would pick up a PRS with a vintage Tele on hand. LOL!
kinda reminds me What I Havent Done

Best guitar evér? 🧐Fender❤️🔥🚬
Yeah, that was nice!
That tele just seems like an extension of Robben’s voice.

Telecaster sounds great
I love that cleaner tone!!!
Master Robben ❤
👍🎸🎼🥰🇳🇴
звук мощь
My favorite tone in the world is a Tele into an AC30 and I'd kill to hear Robben do that just once. Oh it would be glorious!
Hi Robben, when you come to play in Italy..??.. Please, come soon.. Marco.
Thanks Robben currently and retroactively.
The best sounding guitar in the world!!
Even though we’ve never met, thanks so much for being a mentor. 🙏
That tele suits your playing perfectly
Nice alright. You got that right. So good Robben 💜
💪♥️🎸 VERY COOL 💪♥️🎸
Fixed in one take. Great!🤘
Sounds awesome
Robben’s Tone is awesome!
Thank you 😊
Masterful
👍👍
Tired, old pentatonic disingenuousness. Unpleasant for me to hear.
HAHAHAAHAHHAHA. I feel sorry for you.
