So interesting to analyse the drift between the modern 4WD and rear wheel drive cars. You can clearly see that compared to the modern 4WD the rear wheel drive cars tend to drift further as the front wheels can't "pull" the car through the drift and so drift more and are less efficient. The modern 4WD being able to pull out of a corner much faster. Interesting also to see that the Audi quatro S1 isn't as fast as the modern 4WD cars. The fact that the 5 cylinder engine overhang, caused the car tend to under-steer and reported to be a "handful" switching from under-steering to over-steering the moment you accelerated.
Spectators on a stage rally especially with wives, kids and dogs are a mixed blessing. They will push you out of a ditch, but you do feel obliged to lift off rather than risk wasting a few that are all over the road after they've seen the rally gods go through. Jack, the Japan Alps Brit

I categorize this sport as insanely as running with the bulls Because the spectators at these rally races have same mentality as people running with the bulls being insanely close to these vehicles at the speed they’re going

some of these guys could probably pick up 15-20 seconds a stage if they werent wasting so much time with unnecessary drifting.each second the tires are spinning their not propelling the car to its potential, which adds up to alot of wasted time.it may be fun, but cost you alot of precious time per stage.
