wow! your story is so similar to mine. i was super into acting in middle school but when COVID hit, i lost all motivation and stopped acting. it wasnt until my junior year that i realized i wanted to be an actor, so i started doing community theater and taking acting classes at my school. this helped me a lot... im applying to colleges soon and i started worrying im not good enough and won't get in because of my lack of experience... thank you
You seem like such a kind person. Congratulations on your acceptances! I applied as a psychology major except for CSUN (Music Therapy) and CSULB (undeclared) to 12 Cali schools including four CSUs, 5 UCs and USC. I got rejected from USC... and that hurts a bit because when I was younger, I used to support USC in the Bruin-Trojan rivalry because all of my friends were UCLA fans and I thought it'd be a great idea to be rebellious. Ironically, I'm now a die-hard Bruins supporter because of these college decisions... if one school wants you and the other doesn't, you can't keep supporting them forever, right? Haha. But I was so happy to hear the relief in my friend's voice when I told her about my situation! I also applied to UC Berkeley but didn't get in, and I got waitlisted to CSUN and UC Santa Cruz. Congratulations on UCI!! I absolutely love that campus but I'm still thinking of which of my top 2 UCs I want to go to... I'm jealous you knew where you wanted to go really quickly. :) You also have such a strong heart for being so carefree about your rejections. Mine hurt a lot honestly, and I found it difficult to say "It's fine..." I would love a personality like yours 😇
Thank you so much, that means a lot! I told myself with acting that if I didn’t get into either DePaul or NYU, I would take a gap year and reapply, so the other rejections didn’t affect me as much, thankfully! I was not at all calm before that acceptance haha! Getting rejected from one of your top schools hurts, but congrats on the UCs!! That’s incredible!!
@@maggiemichelle6123 Thank you!! I know how nerve racking it is to check statuses. I was so busy on the day they announced my top 2 UCs that my mom had to go in and check the portal herself. But I feel that you handled your admissions better than I did LOL.
Hey! I'm international still in high school but looking forward to get into acting universities. I'm not experienced in acting or taken any acting classes so i want know that if i can still apply for universities or do i have to take acting classes? Will they take me if I'm not experienced?
finally and honest decision reaction . I am going to be applying as well for drama related programs in the states ( I am an international student) and I just wanted to get a prospective if I had a chance of getting in . probably not but ill give it a shot. CONGRATS on getting in
