- So in this video I'm going to show you a simple trick to improve Novaria's damage
As you all know, her 2nd skill is her main damage source and you can increase it by the sphere's travel distance
The longer it travels, the higher the damage will be

When I first played Novaria it took me a while to notice the stacks because I would focus more on my target but when I saw the stacks and experimented a little I understood how it worked and when I go into a direction I'd use Astral Sphere (2nd) at the opposite so far the max stacks I've gotten is 7
And is this video I learned that moving through walls or shooting inside walls increase the stacks
If u run her with lou yi u able to have 10 stack. My max stack is 9 and idk how I did it cause I wasn't paying attention at all

ive recently discovered a bug/effect in where if u use the battle spell sprint while shooting ur seconds skill ur stack is able to exceed that and is able to get 8-9 stack

You can also use the skill 2, to go to designated area of the map from the base OR escape approaching enemy and hide/go through the walls to avoid getting caught

Novaria is an excellent mage with roam potential especially with dire hit
Its like mage built diggy only with long range sniping ability
and it's so easy to harass enemy marksman when passing through walls
Bad thing is if your team don't have tanky hero it be hard late game
Need a good cc and tanky allies to work but yeah it can be done

Novaria is probably one of the rarest heroes that aren't stupidly broken on release but also not trash. She's very rewarding once you get the gist of her imo and hecking fun to play (especially if your build is oriented on cdr).
actually she's a kinda trash hero, she's useful if your allies have high mobility to response to her ulti that's all, but in crucial moments or clash she's pretty useless, why? she can't do a thing aside from giving a view of the enemies positions and slowing them down unless you have high mobility allies then she's not much help in clash, why? she doesn't have much dmg + she can't stun your enemies compared to other mages and if you have her beside you during clash then you'll definently die in that clash, I don't ban her in rank but I'm afraid if my teammates pick her because its auto lose well the user gets high score because of ks kills and she just floats around you during clash, she's not annoying as your enemy she's more annoying as your allies.

Thank you, i’ve noticed this trick when i first read her skill description. You’re the first content creator who actually mentioned it. But, you shouldn’t ALWAYS use it for damage, since it’s also useful to check bushes and to escape
I don't read description TvT people say those who don't read are stupidly playing the hero.
And I'm not proud to say, I am that stupid lmao. I also just learned recently that Cecilion also get stack when hitting enemy hero, I've been playing him for almost a hundred times now.

I already tried her on practice and its true, her limit is 10 but its very hard to do if you more away from it and my only problem is that her hitbox is small even if you used your ult its still the same hitbox as franco like her hitbox as more area on the left than the right side
Simple tip about hit boxes and getting stacks
Hit box is centered around a unit's foot
That's the reason why you're more likely to hit the enemy on their right side than the left
Due to the camera angle, it tricks us to aim for the body
For better understanding, try to aim at their foot's shadow
And about getting more stacks, try to move inside obstacles as you move away because it gives more movement speed when you're inside an obstacle, that way you can move further before the sphere catches up to you, getting you more stacks

just keep using your ultimate. You may not him them but it will still help your allies land their skills. Plus the slow which is really nice for chasing enemies and saving your team.
I'm not sure how much she'll impact the meta but I know Hanzo has another hero to worry about. 😁

I only run away from the orb cuz she already gets the movement buff and wall phasing ability before the orb touches her

i think they should optimize the ult like when the 2skill is on cooldown then she ults it resets the seconds skill cd but only ones so that novaria can one shot maybe two shots 😅
Or the ult can give her some speed boost to gain more stacks

I think 1st and 2nd skills are okay, but her ulti maybe need to add something, either to add damage or change slow to knockout effect.
I feel if you like playing high risk high reward prediction heroes you’ll like her a lot. Eg franco, Selena, Beatrix
If you can really predict enemy movements, she’s going to help you rank up a lot easier. Just make sure the enemy doesn’t have any dive in junglers like ling haya bene or lance or else you’ll struggle w finding the perfect positions in teamfights
I honestly think her ult needs a buff. I know vision is a game changer but looking at the current meta, a lot of heroes already offer that utility (yss, aldous, etc). The best buff for her I think is an "empowered" state of her skills upon the activation of her ult, kinda like xavier. Empowered 1st skill could be an increase in circumference or maybe a faster burst. Her empowered 2nd could be an increase in travelling distance of her sphere or maybe an instant 10 stacks. The main problem is her ult. It's just, meh. They definitely need to add something to it, 75% slow, damage, just something.
Fun fact: When she was in advance server. When you casted her ult her 2nd skill will reset it's cooldown and when you got a kill her 2nd skill wpuld reset aswell. It's a shame they took it away
Buy ice queen. Ult will be super annoying then for enemies who aren't so mobile
Well some things I tried on my own while playing with novaria, hope it helps others:
Early game: I'd buy the basic boots then go with elegant gem for the Regen when lvl up, after that mana boots. In the early game I hardly return to base thanks to element gem and mana boots. Use first and 2nd skill to clear minion waves and immediately roam to the side lanes. It's good if you are able to assist or get a kill, but the main Objective is to assist and gain more golds from the side lanes by sharing their minion waves. U will realise that back and forth, ur gold will be the top of the team. Besides that, once u have cleared the minion wave, u can utilize ur 2nd skill and check the enemy buff for vision and if u spot the enemy jungle doing their buff, u can cast ur 1st skill to haress them and even use ur skills and see if u can ks their buff. Even if u fail to steal their buff, haressing them to low HP is alr very good so that they cannot gank the lanes or take any objectives
Mid game: after getting clock of destiny, I will continue to bug another elegant gem because the way I use novaria, she will gain lots of exp and gold. Her damage will spike once clock of density and lightning is done. Elgin mentioned about buying holy crystal, but personally I will buy genius wand because it goes well with the first skill. Upon casting second skill, don't release it just yet. Utilize the wall phasing advantage, use it to close up to the enemy and cast ur 1st skill to wear them down and if u bought genius, it helps to lower their magic def as well. It helps to maximize ur 2nd skill damage as well
Late game: well just repeat the same things as mid game, once u have gotten genius and divine, ur damage is basically disgusting, so just keep using 1st and 2nd skill to bush check and keep poking enemies from a safe distance. Don't hesitate to use ur ult to check for enemy when they are not around the mini map. Always remember to utilize ur 2nd skill wall phasing ability, use it to get close enough to cast ur first skill on the enemy, then 2nd phase 2nd skill to maximize damage. Do this, and u can solo any squishy heroes. It also helps to escape ambush by delaying ur 2nd skill cast. Always prioritize on hitting the backline because even if u didn't manage to kill, lowering their hp will help to make them retreat so that in the teamfight ur enemies will have 1 less teammates.
That's it for my own experience with the hero novaria, I hope it helps anyone who plays her
My build through out the game: basic boots > elegant gem > mana boots > clock of destiny > elegant gem > lightning > genius wand > divine or bloodwing based on enemy composition > once reach lvl 15 sell the extra elegant gem and get the last item

It's ridiculously hard to get a kill using Novaria. But it is what it is. She's suits better as a support mage than she is a pure mage, great for poking enemies from afar.

She is decent and balanced in my opinion, I hope they don't nerf her or never experiment on her from now. Basically moonton should not touch her and do add less in changes as she is perfectly fine character

In my opinion, Novarnia is the new best hero they brought into the game for a very long while. I didn't get too much experience with her, but from what I had: She's very fun to play, isn't oppressive or frustrating to face, has a high skill ceiling, and seems balanced as of right now. My rank is Mythic, by the way, but that's just my own experience and opinion about her. I don't think she should be adjusted quite yet, but if they end up buffing her the one thing that I think will be fitting is increasing her 2nd skill base damage and reducing its magic power scaling so she would be more free to take more defensive options without sacrificing damage. But I don't think they should buff her yet, I think she's very good right now, that's just what buff I would like to see if they end up doing so. I wouldn't want them buffing her magic scaling so she could oneshot more easily, that would just ruin her.
Yes, she is useless without a team in front of her, u do zero impact in the game. U just snipe ks the 10hp someone else left like that.
Her minion clear is worst than yve and can't even 1 v 1 in a lane.
Late game everyone has lifesteal and the 2k u did to them is just a scratch they can recover in 2 secs
@@lenaotaku5905 Still, especially when having a good team, she is probably One of the strong mages, but the fact that she's more dependent on her team than other mages makes her a less ideal pick in solo queue. But I really like playing her nonetheless.

@@lenaotaku5905 I tried Selena lately, and I've gotta disagree with you. Selena's playstyle relies getting a connection with abyssal arrow (enhanced by the 1st skill) and then killing the stunned target. That makes her much stronger in terms of who can score more kills, especially if the target is isolated or a squishy hero. Her strengths are the stun, more damage, and a more flexibility with her combo, which allows her to guarantee the target you hit with your 2nd skill dies. In that aspect, landing her 2nd skill is more rewarding than getting a snipe with novarnia, due to the fact that usually you would be able to kill the target.
But Selena has the disadvantage of having a worse projectile - abyssal arrow is much slower than Novarnia's skill 2, and especially in higher ranks it gives the enemies more time and opportunity to react. Another disadvantage is that Selena needs to get closer to the enemy in order to actually finish them off, which can be dangerous and might lead to situations in which you aren't able to reach the maximum damage you can deal with your combo. Moreover, to to this and the fact that her skills are mainly single target focused, Selena struggles in teamfights. Finally, Selena is actually a hero that has a very hard time farming, which is probably a reason she is a very popular roamer, but nonetheless that's a disadvantage compared to Novarnia.
As for Novarnia, since I already touched her weaknesses and strengths, I'll just sum them up shortly:
Disadvantages over Selena: lower burst damage potential, dependant on teammates (only 2 main ones, but those are very big)
Advantages: easier to snipe, doesn't need to get close to the enemy, less situational and quite strong in teamfights.
As for mobility, I'm not sure which one is superior? Although they use them differently, since Novarnia mainly uses her mobility to keep distance and protect herself from enemies, and Selena uses her mobility to get close to the target in order to finish off her combo
@@alonkob2127 Bro novaria can't secure her target. She hits with her 1st skill to poke them and then do 2k with her snipe and the enemy either escapes or someone from the team hunts them down. She can't 1 v 1 more than half of the mid laners right now. Her snipe only ks. She is a moving flameshot.
Everyone can equip flameshot and with practice if someone runs away u can aim and kill him.
Aka novaria ability useless.
With almost any other mage u can have better aoe, stun and burst dmg.

She's fun to play for me bcs i like playing annoying heroes. She can steal buff and creeps from the enemy jungler in a safe distance. When aldog is ulting u, just pass true the end of the map. She's a flying ward. SHE'S A FLYING FLAMESHOT and great at securing OUR KILLS

I used her as a roamer (yes, I'm a human ward) and yet my teammates laugh at me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Her ultimate is a very roamer friendly, it provides vision especially enemies hiding in the bushes
I feel like she still doesn't have alot of damage her main damage is her second skill yet it has a cd of 5 second and if you build cd items 45% its on 4 not really good for damaging tbh specially her utl i wish when enemies get hit by her ult they get a debuff like take 15% more damage from novaria or something
the only problem with her is the very slow camera turn back after the zoom out effect

Oh so that's why her magic scaling is so little, because she has her way to increase her damage.
Meanwhile Mobacry started crying meta where he cries Moonton to change the rules for him.
I my opinion, she is more fit to be a roamer like Selena, her ult can do the job of a tank (giving vision) and she can finish the low hp ennemy with his high range, also the scaling of the magic power is pretty bad, most of the damage is from the basic damage or her skill and passive so Novaria don't really need to get her item fast, btw you can also replace the holy cristal by the floating time for giving more vision to your team mate and spam your spell a little more.
its funny cuz i tried the same rapid boots and 5 windtalkers when testing novaria, basically if you wanna get ur 2nd fast just walk towards it as the downtime wont be as long ie trying to hit someone that is recalling but in general use ur 2nd away from the place you're trying to go to to maximize ur dmg. Regardless though this hero may seem op anyone who played novaria against a semi decent ling or joy would understand why this hero isnt super op in rank
Even at 10 stacks, her damage is still pretty underwhelming. Even in the late game, when enemy has built magic defense items her damage is a small poke.
It is much Better if she will Have a 2 2nd Skill when using Ultimate for her to deal a massive Dmg like For exampe every Time she cast ult her 2nd skill will be having a Stack of 2 for her to throw 2 Meteorites ♥︎
Her sniping capability is already op. She would be broken if her dmg is increased
@@demz25 Thats the thing, her only ability is to snipe people from afar. And she is not even good at that, pharsa does way more damage and has cc while novaria only has movement and vad poke damage.

Better to build cooldown items + damage to spam ulti and second skill >use ulti to get vision and slow enemy to hit second skill, go through walls with second skill to get extra movement speed to chase enemies while they are slowed by ulti to hit them easier from behind the teamfight while providing vision ...two birds with one ulti, vision plus higher hitbox for second skill go on the side walls like ling and hit second skill from the sides like selena so the squishy enemy at the back of the teamfight wont be able to dash out of the unexpected side hit
The stack can actually gain stack even after firing... it'll increase while summoning and until it hits enemy... i noticed that first time i played her in training mode

She's stronger than we think she can give visions and at the same deal a huge damage plus you can use your ultimate to help your team mates when they're chasing an enemy b'coz of slow effect and increase the hit box of an enemy hero.
Shes not that strong but her utility is great... Just that you have to waste your shoots for vision and her ult range isnt as long as I would like
It's better if you build atleast 2 Wand items for movement speed, and moving inside obstacles for more movement speed

Although my first experience with her is that she's on the enemy side and it's bothering especially when we try to gank someone and she uses her ultimate and our plan will fail but other than that she's alright as a support for vision and a damage dealer.
Example in mid lane if she use her ulti then hit mid torret to the bushes near blue buff if an enemy is hiding they will get hit by the torret..

@@atokaswu7911 positioning is one thing. but if the skill cap of a hero is very low, you cant do anything. if you compare pharsa and novaria pharsa is gold tier and novaria is bronze. its okay if you miss pharsas skills because of the low cooldown, but if you miss novarias skills you have to wait for a long time to deal damage. also the summoning animation of the sphere is way too slow, they should increase that a little

Its situational, if u only want to poke then move away. If u are in like a teamfight just keep getting it back cus u can fire it faster so it can harass more enemies. If on a one v one fight u can delay it or move away for more dmg.

I haven’t lost a single ranked game vs her. She’s so tasty and easy to kill.
People always argue that she can just use her 2nd skill but what they don't notice is that her 2nd skill is used offensively as well. So once she used that offensively, that's the time to close in to her and kill her. Maybe burn a flicker but that doesn't matter, she can't engage on a 1v1.
@@n317 exactly super easy to kill and I just use ice retri on her to slow her she’s a sitting duck. In my opinion using her is actually throwing the game unless you are in a 5q and can utilise her properly with the right team comp.
When i compare to anyone... I only her as another support but had a higher damage potential of Floryn. Her Ult works as a Support Ability or Skill that lets you have a vision in that certain direction. While her 1st and 2nd Spell has boosted damage depending on how you use. Remember that Support had skills that can either had a Buff, Debuff on itself, allies or enemies. While her kit is not that enjoyable on the first i've played it, maybe i will give it more tries for me to enjoy her. She reminds me of Nami in League of Legends because of her Ult but with no control aspects.

My friends say that she is underperforming, but I would say otherwise.
Yes, her second skill is her main source of damage. But her mechanics make it so that it is good. PLUS, the vision is provides last for A WHILE. So map control is good, and ganking is even better.

She's definitely on par with Valentina at least in term of impacts in teamfights, maybe even more than Faramis on 5-man stacks. The fact that her ult isn't just vision but also hitbox manipulation is insane. Making any heroes have hitbox as large as full stacks Barats would means easier fights in every way, not just in dmg, and you know how easy it is to aim at Barats, right ?

@You Again im not arguing with you anymore. if you believe that novaria is a good mage, then you probably are a low-rank player. she is nowhere near the usefulness of faramis and valentina in teamfights. even nana is more useful. the bigger hitbox neovaria gives is useless if her teammates cant follow up with their skills. novaria herself cant even kill a squishy hero even if she used all of her skills because the enemies can dodge them easily. You just wait, they will buff her in the next patch or two. BECAUSE SHE IS WEAK IN HIGHER RANKS

Shes good in utility with her ult as the map opener, but even tho her damage is very high, it will be wasted if you keep missing her snipe, plus shes really weak against hero with high mobility, and sometimes athena in early game really counter her so hard,
