Maker Faire Miami: Beetlejuice vs Wrecker 99

Down in sunny Miami, Maker Faire hosts a robot fighting competition called Robot Renegades. Robots in multiple divisions fight for that chance at ultimate glory.
In this fight, Beetlejuice’s vertical drum faces off against the viscous under-cutter of Wrecker 99.

I wasn’t overly terrified when I saw that I was lined up to fight Wrecker99, and I knew the spinner couldn’t kill me, as long as I box rushed and stayed aggressive.
This was a pretty good match to just crank up Beetlejuices weapon and watch it deal hit after hit.
I wasn’t expecting their own spinner to throw them off balance and hit themselves when they went airborne.
I do think that if I stopped attacking a few seconds earlier, a knockout could have been called, but I still got the KO.
I’m very aggressive behind the controls, and I do just about whatever it takes to win the aggression and control categories. Damage can come and go, but I trust myself and my driving skills to help me win those categories.
