This was a lot of fun! Especially the last minute or two with the big shootout: the cool imagery with those vivid colors and terrific music... that was gorgeous! Nice work!
It's the early days of the Resistance. The T-600 terminators are the first infiltration model designed by Skynet. But their polymer skin and face visages are not realistic enough to fool the human resistance fighters. Yet the strength of the T-600 and its 40 Gigawatt phase plasma burst rifle makes them extremely dangerous, almost as much as the later T-800 model.
Your film was AWESOME! Terrific staging, music, design, and atmosphere. Performance-wise, the tension didn't come across as well with the infiltrator.. The tension and pure dread of this machine. Thank you very much. There were 2 plasma rifles used, one of them was 3D printed in segments and glued together and the other was a resin model built by fans and sold on eBay - that was the one we used for most of the film. The resin model was very heavy and also came in segments and the 3d print was light as a feather and very fragile. To show the weight of the Terminator plasma rifle, we used the heavy one, even for when the Terminator uses it so it has a steady look.

WHY IS ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER THE ONLY TERMINATOR MODEL?!?! 🤬 Thank goodness for independent filmmakers, like yourself, for doing what Hollywood doesn’t have the balls, or brains to do. @@AustinDallasPictures “Salvation” is the only sequel that I respect, because they dared to do something DIFFERENT. Sure, they filled it with empty characters, and a ridiculous sub-plot with an even more ludicrous twist… plus, they just HAD to throw in a freakin’ Schwarzenegger model… AGAIN. Ugh. But, at least they focused on the part of the whole Terminator mythos that audiences only had a few glimpses of. THE FUTURE. I remember seeing the original “Terminator” back in the 80’s, and one of the scenes that STILL haunts me is Kyle’s memory of the future. People hiding in dark caves, and burnt out buildings. Running around the wreckage. Huddling together in the dark… then, the dogs start barking, as a large figure in a cloak rises up holding a mini-gun… and the only feature you can make out on his face… his his GLOWING. RED. EYES. But, naaaah… Hollywood is only capable of doing another freeway chase, or another shootout in a mall, or having ANOTHER FREAKING ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER MODEL SHOWING UP!!!! The Terminator novels are not canon, but I'm still glad you enjoyed. If you watch T2's intro, plenty of resistance fighters carry it with 2 hands, that means that a very strong person can hold it with 1 hand. I know it's cool to imagine it's too heavy to lift but James Cameron and Bill Wisher never revealed the weight of it, nor did they reveal the weight of the Terminator so there's nothing incorrect about the way I portrayed it.
Outside of The Terminator (1984), T2-Judgement Day (1991), & Terminator-Salvation (2009), fan films do better than the others. After Salvation, should have continued off that focused on the Future War and fan films have actually done that.
Thank you my friend. But If we're going to be really nit-picky about lore then we need to only count the first 2 films, and in them neither James Cameron or Bill Wisher wrote/showed that the Terminator plasma rifles are very heavy. We see resistance fighters using them in the intro with 2 hands so it should be reasonably possible to hold it with 1 hand for a short period of time.
My only complaint is that you gave a Terminator's plasma rifle to a little scavenger girl, and those things ate supposed to be too heavy even for male soldiers. Everything else is perfect.
To be fair, in the original 2 Terminator films, we never see how long it takes to kill a Terminator with a plasma rifle. We see a resistance soldier finish one off that's on it's back, but we never see how long it takes from start to finish. Another thing to consider would be the fact that the Resistance may not have yet reached the same level of power in their plasma rifles as Skynet has.
In the T2 screenplay, when Connor and the soldiers are preparing to send Reese back, the text reads "Technicians have pulled up floor panels and tapped directly into cabling of the machine, using portable terminals that they have wheeled in. Many of the soldiers in this war against machines are technical specialists... you have to fight fire with fire." That is why it is worth noting that the unit is specifically known as Tech-Com, because they possessed skills beyond just that of soldiers and Reese happened to be a sergeant in that unit. If it wasn't for Tech Com, no Terminators would be reprogrammed to serve humanity, and that's what Connor's unit was able to do to win the war- it deserves to be noted that they were a new kind of military, and the best way is to identify them with the name "Tech-Com". If you don't agree, that's fine.

Another thing to consider would be the fact that the Resistance may not have yet reached the same level of power in their plasma rifles as Skynet has.
why do people keep thinking tech com is the name of the military? Reese says he is "Reese, Sgt, tech com" - its his military occupational specialty.
Всё хорошо, но актеры слишком упитанны для ролей выживающих в постапокалиптическом будущем людей, питающихся крысами.
