Thanks once again for your videos. I have just dragged my spa out of storage to set up for the summer and have watched your video as a refresher. I have kept mine in a spare room in the house so I think there should not be too many problems with dust and spiders. I certainly hope to get more than a couple of summers out of it. Disaster has struck, on pumping up my spa we found it had at least six holes in it, every time we patched one a new one would show up. Finally got it pumped up properly today and there is water leaking out of the bottom. I am just about ready to throw it out! It was carefully packed away in a spare bedroom for winter. I did not know it would be this frail!
They don't like being deflated, stored and reinflated. I've had a few pin holes that needed fixing from winter 2019-2020. Am expecting to have to repair more holes when putting back up again this spring.
Hi Adam. I’m new to the Hot tub Society so when I purchased the Hawaii Hydro jet pro I found your channel. So glad I did, I’d have come unstuck otherwise. There is a difference with this years spa though, and that the introduction of the Chem Connect. The video on tube off lazy spa is a bit vague and I can’t really find out any proper instructions about how to use it. So any tips would be great. Also I’m thinking of purchasing the hydro jet lights but again there’s very little information on how to install them. So if you buy them please make a video on how to install them.
Hi Carla, I bought 4 of the hydro jet lights as they make a world of difference. The power out of them is very slightly less than the standard jets. To install all you do is simply turn the existing jets anti clockwise about 90 degrees then they come out. This can be a bit fiddly and you may need to hands to twist them , but persevere. Once you do one, the rest are easy. Put the new light jets in and spin them a bit making sure they sit flush to the liner, then turn clockwise 90 degrees so they click in. They sit nice and tight but protrude a touch more than the standard ones. No big deal though. Once on and the jets on, the lights intensify the stronger the jet is, so max power equals max lighting. Hope this helps. Peter
Hi. Thanks for all these vids I’m finding them very helpful. I’ve just got the same model as you and been in it for the first time today. I’ve noticed one of the hydro jets is much weaker than the others. Is this normal?
As always Adam, great video about these hot tubs. I use your videos for reference when I got mine and this is another informative video. Only one question. You say you will get another summer out of it, why do you think this ? The tub and pump all seem really hard wearing and you can purchase plenty of replacements or spare parts should you need them. We bought the exact same one as yours for the reasons it seemed that we will get years of use out of it. I've no reason to think differently so far. Great videos though mate and very enjoyable to watch. Pop round and do one for me if you can. Peter.
Agree it should be all good for longer. I was a bit concerned that the packing up and winter storage might damage it. I guess if it survived one winter, it should survive a few more!
Just about to buy this tub thanks to Adams videos, like you I was shocked at 'will get another summer' I'm hoping for plenty of Summers of fun out of my purchase.
How early would you suggest setting the tub back up? Glorious end of Feb weather at the moment but I'm conscious we're not all clear yet anf could easily end up with freezing temperatures in mid-March
Tricky one. It's a gamble as not advisable to have it set up if there's a freeze/frost. Depends where you live, the likely weather conditions, if you have it under cover, etc and if you feel lucky! I live in Plymouth and it has very mild winters, but don't normally set up until April. Some people keep their's running all through winter. If you keep the water warm then there's no risk of damage. It would cost a lot to keep going unless protected from cold.
@@adamabout8017 thanks. The thick fog that's landed this morning has confirmed my instinct - we're not in the clear from winter yet. It's in a South-facing garden but also fairly exposed to the high chilly winds. Maybe I'll wait a little longer; think it was around late March/early April I set mine up last year - hopefully we'll get some more Spring heatwaves this year!
Has anyone had problems removing the filter housing? Mine won’t budge & I don’t want to put to much pressure on it. I have read that the housing could of expanded due to the heat of the water or in worst case it may have been cross threaded.
Thanks for your channel 😀
Because of you I'm now researching how to get the same model as yours but in Australia 😀

It turns out there was a fault with it where one of the pipes goes into the spa, it was replaced under warranty. The new one has had no issues at all.

@@peterjohno38 can you provide a link to where you got the lights from, I fancy some of them too.
@@charlestaylor2594 Hi Charles , sorry for the delay. They are on the bestway lay z spa website buddy.
Good vid. Thanks

offspring_productions thanks. The jets can be adjusted by turning them. It might be one needs adjusting.
Adam About Thank you so much! Didn’t want to try that in case it removed them. All working perfectly :)

Adam. Gread vids. Do you not use it in the winter.??

Thank you so much! Still happy with the quality? No holes yet? Airloss? Cheers 🍻
Yeah, it's all good. Only problem I've had is that the inflatable part of the lid keeps leaking air.
How do you drain water from air compartment walls?.
Tony
Run the blower through the air channel once Hot Tub is empty.

Nicky Williams sorry, can’t help. Not experienced that myself.
No issues with mine either. I'd just use a bit of force. As your standing over it lean in and turn it to your right.
