I'm one of those people that you really helped during their first year chemistry. Your tutorials were always way easier to follow than anybody else's and I really appreciated you taking the time to make them. I hope you keep doing what makes you happy, whatever that may be 🙏

Aww yay! Thank you so much that makes me really happy to hear! I hope chemistry/your education worked out ok!

I came for the science content! I still will be subscribed since I appreciate your authenticity.

aww ty so much! I definitely try to eliminate bullshit, but we're all human so of course I'm still full of a healthy amount of it lol

I watched your tutorials because I was not given an education, in my middle 20s chemistry was just another hobby to me. I can no longer pursue that now that I live in an apartment, but I still use the understanding I gained at that time(in part because of your videos) on a regular basis. Turns out chemistry being called "The Central Science" isn't entirely frivolous.
I sometimes see the stock photos you modeled for, in videos and on websites, and that always brings a spark of joy of "I know that face!". In that way, I haven't unsubscribed, I would like to keep up with what you're doing, watch you grow.
As far as going back to your old tutorials, I saw your burnout through the lens of the camera. Science, and engineering education on UA-cam changed my life, and I think it's a powerful thing for the world, but it's not your responsibility. You should make the videos you want to make, and you shouldn't let your audience force you into a pigeon hole. Whatever you do I'm proud of what you've accomplished, and what you're capable of. Whatever you make next, and who you grow to be is what I'm here for.

Wow thank you so much! Haha yes the stock photos. That's really cool that you picked up chemistry on your own. Wait, does your apartment comment mean that you were previously not only learning chemistry but also doing experiments? That's frickin awesome lol.
Seriously thank you for the support and such a nice comment! We'll see what happens and I hope you're doing what you want to!

I am now a master in clinical nutrition major to become a dietitian... During your experimental bit, I started paying attention after the DS9 video (my favorite Star Trek).... Found most of the lifeadvicey videos interesting. Really enjoyed the cartoonist reacts. Not sure how you feel about reaction videos but.... since you are into improv, I would enjoy more videos on that or even reaction videos to say, impractical jokers, or reactions to failed / character breaking on shows like SNL, Mad TV, Impractical jokers, etc.

I’m a chemistry teacher and you were a fabulous resource during COVID. You style is a lot like mine. I hate to be on camera, so I was a “headless” teacher when I made videos for them. I found your channel and gave them links when you were talking about what we were covering. I haven’t been looking at UA-cam much since we started back in person. Now you have really captured my interest. I, too, left grad school with a MS. I discovered we couldn’t afford daycare for our first child on an RA’s salary. So, I started teaching and it was a great fit. Now to seethe rest of your content!

Oh wow! Aww yay I'm glad I could be of some help during covid, I had already stopped teaching by then and I can't imagine how hard it was for both students and teachers. Ah yes, chemistry grad school lol. That's where I discovered my love of teaching when I taught breakout sections of big lecture classes. I'm so glad you landed in a career that's right for you!

I work in IT with big data
    I am intrigued with chemistry
I would love a video on "what's the big deal with polyatomic ions"
And maybe some way to start out in synthesis

Oo ok thank you! I'm impressed with your dedication! Synthesis is pretty far down the chemistry rabbit hole for a hobbyist!

You have done some good work with a good attitude, which is both scarce and appealing.
Getting to the beginning of things is always important for me, because then you know the truth of the matter. When you broke down, sliced, the water molecule until it was no longer wet. That was nice, thanks.
As for your future work, stay disciplined, keep searching but no matter what, keep it on the positive scale. Your academics are solid so I would go from there. You actually remind me a bit of Malcom Gladwell a fine storyteller.
As for myself, am still a fulltime farmer after more than 60 years now. Not the idyllic kind of farming, but the go make a living business stressful kind of farming. I can spot people who want to work, to do better and you got it. Keep it up and have fun.
    Thank you

Wow thank you so much, I feel seen lol! I relate to Malcolm Gladwell a lot for sure. That's so cool that you're doing farming! What do you grow? Thank so you much for checking out my videos, it really means a lot to me :)

Your very welcome. The videos work because they are real, free from pretense, free is good. Yes, we grow irrigated row crops, corn, cotton, sugarcane, adding citrus soon. Just always pushing forward.
      Thanks
